I'm flying from Edinburgh to San Francisco with a connection in PHL. Flight arrives in Terminal A with the connecting flight departing from Terminal B 2h 35min after. Will this be enough time to make the connecting flight, what is the procedure regarding transferring/checking in baggage etc? First time flyer to the US

I am booking a flight from New Haven to Seattle - changing planes at PHL. Us Airways Express from New Haven to PHL arrives at 7:45 and PHL to Seattle leaves at 8:30. Is 45 minutes enough time? Are US Airways Express far from other US Air flights?

Your flight from New Haven will arrive in Terminal F, which is connected to the other terminals by a bus that runs on the secure side. 45 minutes is doable but doesn't leave much if any time for delays.

I Go to Montréal , Canada , from Harrisburg, PA, on US Airways dlight. The transit is in terminal F . Are there any security to pass trought between gates inside terminal ?? I have 55 minutes between flight . Thanks !

No, all gates at PHL are connected inside security. If both gates are in Terminal F then all you have to do is a short walk between gates.

  • US Airways Domestic to International Flight

I'm flying on a domestic US Airways flight from Detroit to PHL and then onto an international flight to Manchester, England. I have approx an hour between connecting flights, do I need to recheck my baggage when I land at PHL? And is an hour long enough to get to my connecting international flight? Land at Terminal C and leave from Terminal A. Its a Friday evening flight (8.50pm) from PHL,

You do not have to do anything with your baggage in PHL on your way to Manchester. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. If your first flight is on-time 1 hr should be plenty of time.

  • A (West) to F, no checked in luggage

Hi, I'm flying from London to Montreal with a layover of 2 hours in Philadelphia. I have no checked in luggage. I was wondering if I can take the shuttle from A1 to F without first going into security on arrival? I'm not very clear, but it sounds like I have to queue up for security at entry to Terminal F anyway. Please could someone help me understand the mechanics here, many thanks.

Upon arrival in PHL, you will have to go through US Immigration and US Customs, then go to the departure level and through security and then take the shuttle bus to Terminal F. There is actually no security at Terminal F, the only way to access it is by the secure-side shuttle buses from the other terminals. You have to go through US Immigration and customs when connecting in the US, there's no way around that.

We are family of 4 and travelling from CLT to Doha via PHL. The US Airways from CLT is scheduled to arrive PHL 9.10 and the connecting flight, Qatar Airways, is at 10.25. Do we need to recheck in our checked in baggage in PHL? Is the transit time 1 hour is sufficient?

No you will not have to do anything with your baggage, all you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate which will be connected inside security. 1 hr should be plenty of time.

Hi. I'm flying from Turks and Caicos to Baltimore with stops in Miami and Philadelphia. Our flight from Miami lands at 9:45PM in terminal a,b, or c. Our flight to Baltimore leaves at 10:55PM from terminal F. Do the shuttles run at 10PM? Will we have time to catch our connection?

Yes, the shuttles run any time there are still flights waiting to arrive or depart from Terminal F as it is the only way to get to Terminal F. You should have plenty of time if your inbound flight is on-time.

  • Connecting Terminal to B from Glasgow to orlando via Philly

ARriving from glasgow on 24th July for connecting flight to Orlando. Arriving 1.00 pm departing 4.00 pm. Is this enough time and do we have to pick up luggage or can it be booked straight through from Glasgow.

You have plenty of transfer time. For international arrivals procedure, terminal details & transfer options, I suggest you open www.ifly.com/phl, then click on 'Terminal Map' under 'QUICK LINKS', and scroll down to the detailed text.

You will have to pick up your luggage after clearing US Immigration, go through US Customs, and then re-check your bags with US Airways.

Thank you for reply this is helpful. After reading the reviews on delays getting through customs on arrival, I just wasn't sure.

Flying from Quebec City through Philadelphia to Charlotte. Do I clear U.S.A. customs in Quebec City or Philadelphia? If Philadelphia, is 1 hour enough time? First time there, so I'm unsure of lines, etc. Many thanks.

Since Quebec City does not have pre-clearance you will clear US Immigration in Philadelphia. 1 hour is not enough time, choose a later flight from Philadelphia to Charlotte.

  • Can I make my international connection in 50 mins?

I am flying from LGA to PHL via US Airways and have only 50 minutes to catch my flight to Madrid also via US Airways. Is this possible? Being that it's the same airline, will I be able to make my connecting flight, or do I have to go through security again because it's international?

All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate (no security). However, your flight from LGA may arrive at Terminal F, which will require taking a shuttle. Also as you probably know flights from LGA are frequently delayed. Good luck.

Thank you for your comment! You're right, the flight from LGA will likely arrive at gate F26. The flight to Madrid will likely leave out of Terminal A-West. That being said, how long is the shuttle ride? I checked phl.org but of course it doesn't say. Any info would be much appreciated.

The shuttles leave frequently but the ride can take up to 15 minutes.

I will depart from Bruxelles, destination Boston, stop in Phil. Arrive in Philadelphia at 13.15 departure 14.45. Is it sufficient for immigration, baggage claim and re-check, change terminal?

That is barely enough time, but it is sufficient if your flight from Brussels is on-time.

I would recommend, if you can, to try reschedule to a later flight. You,ll have a better chance making your flight.

I'm arriving PHL at 7.55AM via Qatar Airways. Connecting flight to CLT at 10.15AM via US Airways. What are the terminals for arrival of QA and departure of US Airways? Is two hour sufficient for transit including luggage scanning and re-check into US airways?

Yes, 2 hours should be sufficient. Your Qatar flight will arrive in A-West and your US Airways flight to CLT will depart from A-East, B, or C. All those terminals are directly connected to each other. Once you go through security you can walk to your gate.

10 dollar salad was pretty much just lettuce. Ordered with Bleu Cheese dressing, but I'm glad they put it on the side, because it was horrible. had to check twice because they boast their rewards right outside the restaurant.

  • Enough time to exit and get back in?

My daughter is flying from Madrid into PHL, arriving 3:00 PM. She wants to connect with a friend outside (but at airport) and get back into to airport to make a 6:00 PM flight to Chicago. Looks like the Madrid flight comes into Terminal A and she leaves from Terminal B. Think she'll really have time to get out, see her friend and then get back in time for 6:00 flight?

She'll have enough time as long as she doesn't see her friend for more than an hour.

I will be flying from Quebec City via USAirways Express connecting in PHL for flight to Charlotte , I have one hr and 25 minutes to make my connection, do I have enough time and what terminal are both of these flights arriving at?

All terminals are connected, so you'll be able to travel between all of them in time for your flight. Your first flight will arrive in Terminal F, and your second flight will depart from Terminal A-East,B,C, or F, depending on the aircraft.
