Hi, I am scheduled to arrive PHL Terminal C Gate C27 at 4:58 pm with a connecting flight Terminal A Gate 13 at 6:05 pm. Do you think this is enough time to walk? Also, I read that there is an East and West Terminal A are they far apart?

You don't have to ask the same question twice.

Help, 1st ever family holiday next month, due to fly in from Heathrow to Philadelphia to catch a connecting flight to Orlando. All flights with AA, arrive 1323 depart 1550. Is this enough time & any top tips as I am getting a little worried about the whole connecting flight thing. Thanks a very concerned Mum.

That should be enough time. You will arrive in Terminal A, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate. Be sure to complete ESTA for your family members before your trip.

I have a connecting flight from Heathrow to Philadelphia (BA) and from Philadelphia to Tampa (AA) The layover time is 1 hour and 40 min. Do I have enough time? What is the procedure for immigration until re-checking baggage? Thank you

That is just enough time. You will arrive in Terminal A, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate in Terminal A, B, or C,.

  • Will we collect our bags and recheck?

Hi. We are booked from London Heathrow to Fort Myers on BA and their partner airline American. We have 2 hours 20 minutes as a layover. Will we collect our bags and recheck or will they go straight through? Also, the layover time was preset by BA. We simply bought the tickets together and so I am hoping it will be long enough. Am I right?! Many thanks.

In Philadelphia you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate. You should have enough time.

  • PIT to PHIL - PHI to SJU connection time 45min

Hi, We are traveling with American Airlines both connections. First Leg: PIT 5.30AM to PHL 6.47AM. Next flight departs at 7.35AM to SJU, also on American. Do we have enough time to connect? Thank you.

That should be enough time if the flight from PIT is on-time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

Hi Again, And thank you for quick feedback. Would both gates be in the same terminal?

Any of the gates could be in Terminal A, B, or C (although departure is likely from A). A, B, and C are all connected inside security by walkways.

  • Enough time 42 min to get from gate B to gate F

I have a 42 minute layover and have to go American to American gate B to gate F. Should I shuttle or walk? Is it enough time?

I would take the shuttle, you have barely enough time.

  • How long and how simple is it to transfer terminal?

Please advise We are considering a return flight from Fort Lauderdale to UK via Philadelphia with a terminal change from O to A? Your advice is valued thank you

There is no Terminal O. An American Airlines flight from Ft. Lauderdale will arrive in Terminal A, B, or C. You can easily walk between those three terminals.

Do I need to take a shuttle form terminal C to A or can I walk? Also will I make it in 30 minutes?

You can walk. However, you will more likely have to run to make the connection in 30 minutes. Hope your first flight arrives early.

Is there a shuttle & would that be quicker?

No, it would not be quicker.

Hi I am flying Cleveland to Philadelphia then PHL to Dublin Ireland. I have 1 hour 36 mins to transfer flights. Will this be enough time?

Yes, that is plenty of time. If you arrive in Terminal F you will take a shuttle inside security to your departure gate in Terminal A. If you arrive in another terminal you can just walk to your departure gate.

I have a 30 minute window to transfer from american to american but not sure which terminal. Is that enough time to go from Terminal A to Terminal B? it doesn't look far but not sure if i am cutting it close

Yes, it is cutting it close but it is possible if the first flight is on-time.

Our flight from Heawthrow airport london will land in Philadelphia at 8:10 PM. Our connecting flight to Raleigh is at 10:54 PM. Is 2 hours 40 minutes enough for baggage claim, immigration check and recheck the bags for the Raleigh flight

Yes, that should be enough time.

Hi we are flying home to the uk from Memphis via Philadelphia. Can anyone please tell me which terminal we fly out of Phiadelphia from , we arrive At terminal F ! I think our luggage goes straight thro to London Thank you to anyone who can help .

Your luggage will go straight through. You may arrive in terminal F. If you do there is a shuttle inside security to A where you will depart.

  • connection in PHL between YQB and LHR
    Jan 21, 2016

Hi all, I'm planning a flight between Qu├ębec (YQB) and London (LHR) via PHL in June. AA propose me a connection of 2h15 at PHL. The flight from YQB would arrive in terminal F and the flight to London would leave from A-west. Will I have to pass us border ? I cannot find info about us customs facility in terminal F. Will my luggage follow or will I have to check them in back ? Thanks for help !

Since Quebec City doesn't have preclearance you will both arrive and depart in A. Yes in Philadelphia you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through customs, re-check your bags at the recheck desk then go through security and to your departure gate.

Thanks for your answer. What do you think about connection time (2h15) ? Ok or too short ? It would be around 8pm on a thursday.

In case it would influence answer, I add that I'm not US Citizen (WVP country Citizen)

That Should Still Be Enough Time.

  • Walking time from Terminal F to Terminal A
    Jan 13, 2016

Approximately how long would it take a healthy active 35-yr-old adult to walk briskly from the farthest Terminal F gate to the farthest Terminal A-West gate (with just a shoulder-bag carry-on)? I have a 65-minute connection on American Airlines (Toronto-Philly-Boston) this Sunday (~5 PM so probably very busy peak time). I think the flight coming from Toronto will arrive in Terminal F and the flight leaving for Boston will presumably depart from A/B/C. If the walk from F to A/B/C is doable in 30 minutes or less, I'd rather walk and know exactly how long it will take, than risk waiting indefinitely in line for shuttles. Thanks!

If you walk you have to exit security, so you really should take the shuttle, they run almost constantly.
