I am 82. Can I roll suitcase on to shuttle bus to terminal F?

It's a low floor bus, so you won't have to lift it very high.

I have a 48 minute layover on a Wednesday night. I arrive in terminal F and will most likely need to hoof it to terminal B (going to Las Vegas). I won't stop for food or restroom. Is that going to be enough time provided all flights are on time?

Yes, that is enough time. The Shuttle bus runs frequently and inside security.

  • Enough time?

I'm looking at booking MBJ-LHR via PHL. The ticket will be American Airlines issued but both flights are codeshares - the first on US airways and the second on British Airways. My first flight arrives at 4.32pm and the second departs at 6.30pm. Will I able able to check bags through at MBJ and just stay in transit - I think both flights use Terminal A West? Or will I have to clear immigration/customs and drop my bags at the transfer desk? If the latter would I have enough time provided the inbound flight arrives on time? Many thanks.

Your bags will be checked through to LHR but in Philadelphia you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, drop at the transfer desk, and go through security. 2 hours should be enough time to do that.

Your reply is much appreciated. I guessed it would probably be enough as AA allow the booking but it helps to get reassurance from someone with more knowledge than I. Many thanks.

  • Terminal F to Terminal A

I have 2 hours and 30 minutes pending first flight is on time to get from terminal F to terminal A. Coming from NY flying to Dublin, Ireland. Will I have enough time? Will I need to go through any security, customs, baggage claims, etc. Thanks for any information!

That is plenty of time. All you have to do is take the shuttle bus. It runs inside security and there is no US Customs when leaving the US.

    Thank you

Hi, I have flight arriving in Philadelphia from Myrtle Beach at 19,52 with the connection to Frankfurt at 20,35. I do not have information at which terminal will I land, I just know that the departure (to Frankfurt) is at Terminal A. Could you advise, if 43 minutes is enough time to catch the flight to Frankfurt?

No need to ask the same question twice.

Sorry for that, I just was not sure if anybody will reply if the question is in incorrect topic

  • frequency of free shuttle between Term F and A
    Jul 22, 2015
Greetings, I'm coming into PHL on a communuter to Term F, early AM on a Fri and have just 50 minutes to make it to a Term in A-East. I know I don't have to go through security if I take the shuttle. Do you know how often it runs and if I'm likely to make it (provided my incoming is on time)?

It runs almost constantly, since almost everyone coming into F is connecting to another flight.

Thanks for the speedy answer ZAP

What kind of shuttle is this? is it like a monorail or train inside the terminal? I'm arriving on AA in terminal A and have 56 minutes to get to Terminal F. I'm worried about the time since I have a torn Achilles and can't move quickly.

Hi, I have a flight arriving in Philadelphia from London Heathrow at 15:30 with a connection going to Charlotte at 17:30. Will I have enough time to make the connecting flight? Do I have to go through customs? Thanks

Yes, that should be enough time. In Philadelphia you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate.

  • Changing terminals

I am arriving in PHL from Montreal Canada, and connecting to Raleigh-Durham. I arrive at Terminal F, but there is no indication of the Terminal from which my Raleigh Durham flight leaves from. Does 1h20 min give me enough time to make my connection? Any idea what Terminal I would be departing from?

You will depart from Terminal A, B, or C (likely B or C). There is a bus that runs from F to the other terminals inside security. You should have enough time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Montreal.

Thanks for taking the time reply. Much appreciated.

My flight is AA / USAIRWAYS. Do you know which terminal domestic flights fly out of?

As I said, A, B, or C. Commuter flights leave from Terminal F, but your flight to Raleigh Durham will not be a commuter flight.

I arrive in Philapelphia terminal F from NY, then transfer to terminal A. I have only 1h+8 min., is it enough for transfer? Do I have security controls again? I am Italian, Then I leave for Italy.

No, you do not have to go through security again. US Airways/AA runs a shuttle inside security from Terminal F to the other terminals.

  • St. Thomas
    Jul 8, 2015
Do all flights to St. Thomas go out of terminal F?

No, Terminal F is for commuter planes. Flights to or from St. Thomas are regular US Airways mainline domestic flights, so they will be in Terminal A, B, or C.

  • Layover time
    Jul 7, 2015
My son is coming in from Manchester UK to Philadelphia with a 1hr 45min lay over before travelling on to Charlotte NC. I know he needs to clear immigration, collect baggage, check bags and clear security again. I have heard that PHI have long wait times for these. Will 1hr 45mins be enough time?

I think it is enough time unless the flight in Manchester is delayed.. He can take the free shuttle bus at the Philadelphia International Airport that takes him to the gate for the connecting flight or he can walk after clearing immigrations and customs. No worries he will be fine.

  • Arriving PHL on internationall flight then MIA flight
    Jul 7, 2015
I was wondering were we need to go through Immigration and Customs, in PHL or MIA?

In Philadelphia you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security, and to your departure gate.

Philadelphia is your first entry so this is where you go through immigration and customs and then take the connecting flight to Miami. Good Luck.

I'm traveling to Canada from sri lanka. We will have a transit in Doha and than to PHL and than to Toronto. Do we have to go through security when we get to PHL or will we go through American security in Doha? We only have 2 hours in PHL.

In Philadelphia you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the transfer desk, then go through security and to your departure gate. If you are Sri Lankan citizens you will need a US Transit Visa.

We're canadian citizens. Is two hours enough for all that? Also we're checking our baggage in from sri lanka. So do we still have to claim our bags in PHL?

Yes, 2 hours should be enough time. Your bags will be tagged through to YYZ in Sri Lanka but you will still have to claim them in Philadelphia to go through US Customs.

  • Arriving at Terminal B and connecting to Terminal F
    Jul 2, 2015
My flight from Charleston will land at B15 at 7:55PM and my next flight leaves F31 at 9:00PM. Boarding starts at 8:30PM. Will I have to go through security again if I walk? On the shuttle (behind security I believe), how long would it take to get to the shuttle and then to my gate?

No, you do not have to go through security. It should take you about 15 minutes to get between terminals on the shuttle.

  • layover time

flying from buffalo to Philadelphia then flying out to Punta Cana. I have a 1 hour layover is that enough time? is the arrival gate and departure gate in Philadelphia close by? will be luggage be automatically transferred?

Yes, your luggage will be transferred. You just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. All gates in PHL are connected inside security. If you arrive in Terminal F then you'll take a shuttle to your departure terminal
