Phoenix to Dublin through Philly on American Airlines. Do we recheck bags ?

No, there is no US Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do in Philadelphia is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

My daughter is flying into PHL - arriving at Gate C28. Flight out to White Plains at Gate F33. She has 67 minute layover. 1. How long to walk between gates? 2. Where to catch shuttle bus? Thank you.

Just follow the signs. She should have enough time.

I have a weekend flight with a 42-minute connection landing Gate C27 and departing F2 at PHL. Can I make it? Better to take the shuttle bus or run? How often do the shuttle buses run?

Yes, you can make it. The Shuttle buses run almost constantly.

  • Luggage collection in Philadelphia

We are traveling from Buffalo, NY to Philadelphia for a flight on to Amsterdam. We arrive at Terminal F and leave from Terminal A. Do we need to collect our luggage at baggage E and recheck our luggage?

No, you don't have to do anything with your bags in PHL if both tickets are on the same reservation. There is no US Customs when leaving the US.

  • Enough time?

I am flying into Philadelpia from Watertown, Ny on American Eagle to connect to a flight to Chicago on United airlines. How much time do I need to connect?

If you have checked bags, you need at least 2 hours. Without checked bags you can do it in an hour if you check in for your United flight online before leaving watertown.

  • Connecting from B to F
    Aug 29, 2016
I'm flying domestic and have a connection in PHL. I arrive in PHL in B and depart from F. My American Airlines smartphone app shows a baggage claim assignment in PHL. Do I have to clam my bag there then re-check it in F?

    No, you do not.

  • Is 35 minute connection in PHL enough time?
    Aug 29, 2016
I'm flying from Albany to Green Bay in early December on American, with connections in PHL and ORD. They recently changed the schedule so I now only have a 35-minute connection in PHL. Is that enough time? My understanding is I'll have to change terminals. I'm worried about getting to the flight to ORD in time.

Yes, you will have to change terminals. that is a very difficult connection.

  • PHL to ALB

Hi - Travelling London/PHL with BA on Monday, arriving terminal A and connecting to AA4900 PHL to Albany from Terminal F. I understand I need to collect my luggage at PHL and clear US customs/immigration. But I have read somewhere that I don't need to carry my luggage to terminal F and instead can drop if off after I clear customs in terminal A - is this correct? Also, can I stay airside and take the shuttle between terminals? If I do have to take my luggage with me to terminal F, can I take that on the shuttle too? Thanks for your help.

Correct, you can drop your baggage at the re-check desk right after you exit customs in Terminal A. Then go through security and take the shuttle to Terminal F. You will already be outside security when you clear customs.

We are traveling from Orlando FL to Burlington VT with flight change this Sunday in Philadelphia. We have about 40 min. between flights. Arriving on American Airlines going out to Burlington on American Eagle. Do we have time to get to Burlington flight and what terminal do we look for in Philadelphia?

The flight to Burlington will likely depart from Terminal F, which requires taking a shuttle bus to. This is a difficult connection.

  • HOw bad?
    Aug 21, 2016
How bad can things get at PHL airport in November? Will there be delays? Will 4hr 40min work to switch to Frontier to American to go to Amsterdam? Do you do customs in the us? 1hr 50min Work in AMS to switch to Alitalita?

In November, things are not too bad. In fact, it's one of the year's best months, as there is limited risk of thunderstorm and it's still a bit too early for high chances of snow. 4h40m is more than enough time in PHL. In Amsterdam, 1h50 is enough as long as your flight from PHL is on time.

  • Sint Maarten --> PHL --> London
    Aug 20, 2016
Hi! I'm traveling from the island of Sint Maarten to London, England (LHR) with a connecting flight at Philadelphia International. My layover is an hour and a half long. I know I'll have to go through customs when I land in the US. Do I also have to claim my checked bag? And if so, is an hour and a half enough time to go through customs and claim my bag? Thanks for the help!

Yes, you also have to claim and re-check your bag after customs. You have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.

Thank you so much for your help and prompt reply! Fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly.

  • 50 min only

We are traveling from Boston Logan to Cancun with a stop in Philadelphia. Is 50 min enough time to get the connection? Both flights are AA, their website says we get at terminal 0 and leave from terminal A but it seems there is no terminal 0 in Philly.. 😒

You will arrive from Boston at either concourse A, B, or C, and depart from A. Fifty minutes is enough if your inbound flight is on time. You will simply have to walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
