Hi I'll fly from Cancun to PHI and have a layover of 1hr and 45mins before I go to Amsterdam. Both flights are american airlines and I arrive and depart at terminal A. I fly with handluggage only. Will I have enough time in PHI?
Yes, that should be enough time. You have to go through US Immigration, Customs, and Security and to your departure gate. Everything will be in Terminal A.
I am arriving at PHL on United/Lufthansa from Frankfort Germany at 4:00 PM. I need to be able to take an American flight out at 5:47 PM to return to Nashville. If I can't take that AA flight I will be stuck either staying over night or taking another round of more expensive connecting flights and getting home past midnight. Is there ANY way for me to have United/Lufthansa transfer my luggage to American? Or would it be possible to get thru Customs to pick up my bags and then recheck with AA and still make this flight?
I don't think that connection is realistically possible on two separate reservations with checked baggage.
I have a flight out of Pittsburgh that transfers in PHL before heading to Cancun. Do i have to claim my bags and go through security a second time? I only have 55 minutes between flights. Is this enough time?
All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. There is no US Customs when leaving the US.
I'm thinking of connecting thru PHL on a future trip from LHR to TPA, BA67 arriving terminal A to BA6916 Departing Terminal C (operated by AA). I'm buying seperate tickets to reduce the price, do I have to collect and recheck my checked bag, and can I do it all in 1 hour and 30 minutes? Thanks!
You will have to claim your bags regardless to go through US Customs, but since it's two separate reservations, it will take longer to re-check in PHL. I would only try this with no checked bags.
Yeah, thought i'd be pushing it, booked the direct flight from LGW instead! thanks!
Hi, My flight arrives at 17:16 in Terminal F, and my connecting flight is 1 hour and 19 minutes later from Terminal A. Do I have enough time to get to the connecting flight (what is the minimum time for change of terminals in case of of late arrival? ). Will my checked in baggage make it to the connecting flight? Thank you!
Yes, that should be enough time. There is a shuttle from F to A that runs inside security.
My travel agent booked me on flights week before Christmas with only a 55 minute connection between Richmond-PHL and PHL-London...in the evening. Are gates likely to be far apart and is there even a small chance that we will actually make the London flight? Thank you!
Your flights may be far apart but if they are far apart American runs a shuttle between F and A inside security. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time if the first flight is on-time.
I have an hour layover on American in Phil before my next flight to Dublin on American. Do I have enough time to get to the international terminal
We have 45 mins to make our connecting flight on AA from Terminal C to terminal F. According to their website we have to leave and go back thru security to make our connecting flight in Terminal F, is this true? It'll just be me and my 4 year old so I am worried about the time constraint if we do really have to go back out thru security.
You do not have to go through security. You can walk or take a shuttle to Terminal F inside security.
Hi I've seen a flight itinerary that leaves Nashville at 1655, arriving PHL at 1956. Our onward flight to Manchester, UK leaves at 2050, giving 54 mins. I believe we need to change terminals but I'm not sure which terminals are involved. Will this be enough time, regardless of which terminal we need to get to? If there isn't enough time, will American Airlines put us on the next available flight at no charge? Thanks!
Yes, that is enough time. All terminals and gates at Philadelphia are connected inside security and all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The next available flight wouldn't be until the next day, but yes, they would put you on it if you missed your connection.
