Hi, I would like to ask if I arrive at PHL at 11:00am domestic, is there enough time to make a bus (30th Market St) by 12:30pm? Thanks.

Without checked bags that would probably be enough time. With having to wait for checked bags it might be a little difficult.

HI, I am flying from MAN (UK) to Philadelphia and have a connecting flight to Indianapolis I know I have enough time as I have well over 3 hours. The flights are all booked through American Airlines or their partners, I would like to know if I will have to claim baggage and then re-check them. I don't know which terminal I will be leaving from but assume it will be different from the arrival one. Many thanks.

Yes, you will arrive, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, then re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate.

Is 1hr 25 mins enough time to change terminals?

You will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags, and go through security. No, that is not enough time. You'll want at least 2 hours.

Thank you SO much for your speedy response ... saved me a lot of heartache. No idea why they would give this much time whey know it's not enough.

  • From International - Domestic Terminal

Hi, My Lufthansa flight from FRA is scheduled to land in PHL at 16:05, we will land in Terminal A correct? My American Airlines connecting flight is scheduled to leave PHL flying to CLT at 17:25. What terminal does AA fly out of? Will I have enough time - only carry on luggage with me... Thnx! Christl

You will arrive, go through US Immigration and Customs and security. 80 minutes is below the recommended international to domestic connection time, even without checked bags. Your flight to Charlotte will depart from Terminal A, B, or C, but you will probably miss it.

Hi, I am planning on booking a flight from San Diego on American Airlines landing in PHL at 19.45, my connecting flight departs for Manchester, UK at 20.55. Is this enough time to make the connecting flight? How will I stand with customs, immigration, luggage etc...

Yes, that is plenty of time. There is no US Immigration or Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do in PHL is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

Hi Will be flying from Cancun via Philly later on today, final destination Heathrow , UK all sectors on American airlines . Do we still clear customs at Philly although we will be proceeding on another international flight ? Connection time is 90 mins , a little apprehensive about missing the conex . Please advice . Thank you

Yes, you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate. you have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.

Flying into Philly from Barcelona, American Airlines #743, arriving Philly at 4:10pm, departing Philly at 5:45pm American Airlines #715. Is there enough time to make the connection? I suppose we will have to go through customs and then security. No checked bags. Thanks.

With no checked bags it's possible, but it leaves no time to spare if there are any delays.

Is 50 minutes sufficient to get from Terminal B to Terminal F?

Yes, it is if the first flight is on-time. There is a shuttle inside security to Terminal F.

What terminal do we arrive at coming from Halifax on American Airlines? we are connecting from terminal f, will we have to go through security again? I'm concerned that we would lose our Duty free purchase as we are only taking carry on luggage, Thanks for info.

You will arrive in Terminal F as well. Even if you do not. Terminal F is connected to the other terminals inside security by a shuttle bus and you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Halifax so you do not have to worry about going through security in Philadelphia.

Hi I am flying from Manchester UK into PHL and then have a connecting flight onto Dayton OH - there is 2 hours and 15 minutes between the incoming and outgoing flights. Firstly, is that enough time to clear customs (not the fast track agreement because the UK doesn't have that yet) and will I have to collect and re-check my bag or is it checked all the way through from Manchester? Secondly, the return leg is the same but I only have 1 hour 21 minutes to get my connecting flight back to Manchester. Again, is that going to be enough time? Apologies for such a long post and thanks in advance for any responses.

Yes, that should be enough time. Yes, your bags will be tagged to DAY, but in Philadelphia you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate. On the return to Manchester, all you have to do in Philadelphia is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. There is no US Customs when leaving the US. Again, you have enough time.

travelling domestic to philadelphia from atlanta then onto london heathrow we have 1hr 40 mins time to get from i think its terminal c to terminal a how far is it as both husband and i dodgy knees ,.another question is we are doing lhr to charlotte do we get baggage and do imiigration and recheck bags

It's too too far and there are moving walkways. you have plenty of time on your way to London. On the way back, in Charlotte you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, and go through security.

I will be flying into phl and have to wait a very long time for my ride. I am not taking another flight. my question is when I land in phl and get my checked baggage... what is there to do? are there any shops or somewhere to eat outside of security?

There isn't much to do there if anything.

Hi, have a flight American Airlines 2033 lands at terminal c (c31) and next connecting flight American Airlines 615 terminal a west (a26), the time is only 30 minutes in between. Would there be enough time? Also what would be the fastest way/route from terminal c to terminal a-west?

The fastest way is to walk and yes that is barely enough time as long as the first flight is on-time.

Hi, I will be flying from Greeville (SC) to Doha with connecting flight from Philadelphia. Flight from Greenville will land on Terminal F while departure flight to Doha is from Terminal A. Will appreciate if you can guide on transit process, do I have to pass through both from Immigration & security (OR) only security? Is 1hr 33min is sufficient time to catch Doha flight?

You will have to go through neither. There us no US Immigration or customs when leaving the US. If both tickets are on the same reservation and bags are checked through you just have to take the shuttle bus inside security from Terminal F to Terminal A. You have plenty of time.

Hi ZAP, Thanks so much for the quick response - appreciate it. Both the tickets are on same reservation and hopefully I will be able to check my baggage for end destination from Greenville airport. So once baggage is checked to end destination then I don't have to pass through any further scanning or security at Philadelphia airport, just take shuttle bus from terminal F to terminal A and that's it. Am I right?

    Yes, that is correct.

Hi - I will be flying American Airlines from Chicago to Philadelphia, then catching an international flight to Barcelona. I believe both my arrival and departure are in Terminal A. Do we just walk from the arrival gate to the departure gate for our international flight or are there checkpoints/customs we go through between our two gates in Terminal A? Thanks for your help!

All you have to do in PHL is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. There is no US Customs when leaving the US.
