I am scheduled to arrive at gate F14 at 10:55 a.m. and my connecting flight departs from gate F3 at 11:35 a.m. Is this doable? Will my luggage make it too?

Yes, that should be enough time. As long as your first flight is on-time this is an easy connection.

How far between Terminal A and F. Only have one hour, can I walk between terminals? Is shuttle bus inside the terminal or have to go outside?

The Shuttle bus connects those terminals inside security. It obviously runs outside, it's not safe to drive bus indoors, but you won't really be exposed to the elements. You have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

  • Connection Time From Terminal B to F

I am due to arrive at Gate B9 at 4:45PM & depart from Gate F37 @ 5:39PM. How frequently do the shuttles run & where do I get on it? Can I reasonably expect to make the connection? Thanks! Jim

The shuttles run pretty much constantly. You have enough time if your first flight is on-time, but there's not much time to spare. This map clearly shows the shuttle boarding locations - https://www.aa.com/i18n/aboutUs/whereWeFly/terminals/terminal_PHL.jsp

The map shows shuttles to Terminal F from: (1) mid-way between Concourse A-East & Terminal B and (2) near Gate C16 & 17. Are these separate shuttles or does a shuttle pick up at one location & then pick up at the other location before going to Terminal F? If I am pressed for time & it goes to both locations, which is the last location picked up before going to Terminal F ??

I have a flight from Pit to PHL then PHL to Minneapolis and I have never flown through PHL before. The layover is an hour and 26 minutes long and I always get lost! If I am in Terminal A-West do I have enough time to get to Terminal B? and is it just a walking area or is there a transit we have to take?

That is plenty of time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. A and B are very close to each other.

  • Where do we go through immigration

We fly from Manchester UK to Miami via Philadelphia, where will we clear customs, do we collect our luggage between flights.

In Philadelphia you will arrive in Terminal A, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate which will be in Terminal A, B, or C.

  • Clearing immigration with visa - enough time?

Hi, I'm travelling in late April from Manchester UK through Philadelphia, arriving 1340, with a 1540 flight on to Cleveland. I have a work visa so I cannot use electronic immigration lanes. Does this give me enough time? Thanks.

Yes, I think that will still be enough time.

    Thanks, ZAP

coming back from jamaica through philli and have a 90 min layover before plane to detroit departs. sounds too close?

That's just right on the minimum time. So it's possible but carries some risk if your flight from Jamaica is delayed or if there are long lines.

  • Arriving 1952 Terminal A departing terminal F 2050

Will there be enough time for the connecting flight going from terminal A-East to F in less than one hour? Concerned about the arrival and depart times of 1952 arrival/2050 departure.

That is enough time if the first flight is domestic and on-time. There is a shuttle inside security from A to F.

Am flying in from Heathrow via Philadelphia to San Diego (American Airlines).. Do I need to pick up my luggage and clear customs or does my luggage go straight through to San Diego

Yes, in Philadelphia you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate.

    Thanks so much.

Hello! I will be flying to PHL from BNA (Nashville) then to London and Spain all with the same airline, will I have to re-check my luggage at any point on those layovers? Thanks!

No, on your way to Spain you will not see your bags between Nashville and Spain.

    Thanks!

Hello, I will be arriving at PHL from SJU (San Juan, PR) and departing from PHL to Boston. I have a 45 minute connection in PHL. Is that enough time?

If your first flight is on-time that is enough time. All you have to do at PHL is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

first time going from LaGuardia (LGA) through Philadelphia (PHL) to LA (LAX). my flight is on Jan 4th and connection time at PHL is 36 min. WILL I MAKE IT?!?!

That is barely enough time if your first flight is on-time. All gates at Philadelphia are connected inside security.

I am flying from Seattle to London via Philadelphia. I'll be issued boarding pass till London from Seattle. Do I have to go through the immigration in Philadelphia and if yes how much time it will take as the connecting flight is within 90 mins.

There is no US immigration when leaving the US. All you have to do in Philadelphia is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You should have plenty of time.

Thanks a lot for a quick response.

Arriving from Manchester UK in March at terminal A and leaving from terminal 0 which does not appear on the airport terminal map. We have 1hour 50mins before the flight to DCA. Is there enough time for immigration, security and transfer between terminals?

There is no Terminal 0. What airline are you flying on your second flight? If it's AA then you will depart from A, B, C, or F. You should have enough time.

Thanks for the reassurance. It is AA. I will go ahead and book the tickets.
