  • Connection time
    Apr 25, 2014
I'm flying into PHL from Indianapolis at 20:54 with a connecting flight to LHR at 21:50 - these are the times US Airways gave me. Can I make the connection in this very tight time? I am very worried that I'll miss my connection as I don't know my way round PHL.

You should have enough time if your first flight is on-time. If your flight from Indianapolis arrives in Terminal F you'll have to take a shuttle bus to your departure concourse but you should still have enough time.

  • PHL Terminal transfer from ? to F. Do I have enough time?
    Apr 20, 2014
Hi. I'm flying from Orlando MCO (US Airways) to Montreal YUL (Canada) with a transfer in PHL. I don't now at what terminal I will get off the first plane, but I know the second one is at terminal F (Air Wisconsin dab US Airways Express). The ticket says that I will need to check-in with US Airways at Terminal F. Will I need to go through security again? Customs (Hopefully not)? Is a 1h15 layover time enough?

While you will arrive at Concourse A-East, you need to take the US Airways shuttle bus departing from gate A1 to Terminal F, gate F14. You have enough time, no security check needed.

  • FRA - PHI - LAX - how do I change the flight in PHI?
    Apr 20, 2014
I'm flying with US Airways flight 701 from Frankfurt to Los Angeles with stop-over in Philadelphia. Recently the stop-over has been changed into a plane change... I'm not sure if I will have enough time - around 120 minutes and it says that I will land at Terminal 2 and take over from terminal 3. Does this mean I will have to exit through immigration, take my bags and reenter? Taking into account that I fly in basing on a VISA, I remember that the queues tend to be long as hell... Any hints?

Your customs clearance will be on arrival at PHL, which does not have numbered terminals, but Terminals TA through TF. Two hours is plenty of time for transfer (Open & click on 'Terminal Map' under 'QUICK LINKS', then scroll down to the detailed text.

Thanks a lot for that comment. I'm still a bit concerned that the line for immigration clearance for non-US citizens may make it impossible to make it within two hours... but - we'll see. Do you maybe know if there is a website where I'm able to check in advance which terminal does the first flight arrive at and the second leaves?

  • Enough transfer time?
    Apr 11, 2014
I'm flying from Raleigh Durham to PHL and have 1,5 houres to catch my flight to Amsterdam (AMS). Will this be enough time?

If flight is on time, transfer time of 1.5 hrs should suffice. I suggest you open then click on 'Terminal Map' under 'QUICK LINKS', and scroll down to the detailed text.

  • PHL International/Domestic transfer
    Apr 7, 2014
Flying from ORF to Africa with transfers in PHL and Qatar. Should 1.5 hours be long enough for the transfer from domestic to international? On the way back, I would assume I need to get my bags and recheck them for my international to domestic transfer, but I've heard rumors this isn't necessary in Philly. Can anyone confirm?

Yes, 1.5 hours will be plenty of time on your way over to Qatar. On the way back, yes, you will have to claim your bags to go through customs and then re-check them.

  • 20 minute connection flight
    Apr 3, 2014
I am thinking about flying with U.S Airways down to Knoxville from Chicago with a 40 minute connection time in PHL. Would I have enough time to make it from my gate to the connecting U.S Airways flight in time?

It doesn't leave much room for delays, but it's possible, barely.

  • Flight to and from Bermuda
    Feb 28, 2014
My wife and I are flying out of Baltimore(BWI) on US Airways Express and then connecting onto Bermuda. Can anybody tell me what Terminal I will arrive and then depart from? I think Ill arrive at F and have to depart from A. Do I claim my bags and go the main international check in counter? Or can I do that all in Terminal F? Also on the return flight I have read theres a pre clearance US Customs station in Bermuda. Does that mean when I land I can just go to my connecting gate after landing and not have to claim my bags or go back through customs? Both layovers are 3+ hours so I hope that is enough time to be safe. First time international flyer. Thanks

Your bags will be checked straight through to Bermuda in BWI. You won't have to do anything with them in PHL on either trip. On the return flight, yes, there is preclearance in Bermuda so again you don't have to do anything with your bags in PHL.

  • Customs & Connected from St Maartin
    Feb 24, 2014
Arriving us airways from St Maartin. Terminal B - Then have a connecting flight to Pittsburgh. Do I have to get my luggage and the go thru customs and then recheck my bags.. All flights with US AIR. I have 1 hr 10 min layover. Will this be enough time>

Yes you will have to claim your baggage, go through customs and recheck then go through security. That will be very hard to do in just 70 mins. However US has lots of PHL-PIT flights if you miss your connection.

  • F to A?
    Feb 12, 2014
I'm flying from Manchester NH to Rome via PHL next week. Is one hour enough time to get from F to A?

Yes you should have enough time: Free large shuttle buses, operated by US Airways, connect from Terminal F (gate F14) to gate A1.

  • B to D
    Jan 20, 2014
Is there a moving walkway between B and D, and how long does it take to go from B to D? Meeting my elderly mother at D and don't want to be late.

Yes, there is a moving walkway - shouldn't take more than 10 minutes, 15 minutes at the most.

  • MSP-PHL-LHR connection and re-check
    Jan 18, 2014
I will be arriving at PHL on a domestic flight with Delta (Terminal D), and then departing on a British Airways international flight to London Heathrow (Terminal A). My flights will be two separate bookings, so I assume I will have to claim my baggage, exit security to landside, check in with British Airways and go through security again. How long must I allow? And should I transfer to Terminal A airside and then exit security, or exit security at Terminal D and then transfer landside? Is there an easier way if I've checked in online and only need to bag-drop? I'm concerned that a couple of hours may not be enough to connect. Thank you.

I would allow at least 2 hours, preferably 2.5 hours for your transfer. You can't transfer to A airside since you will have to claim your baggage in D.

Also, Delta and British Airways do have an interline baggage agreement, so even though Delta is not obligated to check baggage through to BA, it doesn't hurt to ask the agent at your origin point. Be sure to have documentation for your BA flight.

  • International > domestic flight connection

I will be travelling to Seattle from Madrid in mid-December, and I will be taking the connecting flight in Philadelphia. The flight from Madrid has an scheduled arrival at 04.05 PM and the flight to Seattle leaves at 5.55. Will 1 hour and 50 minutes be enough time to go though customs, secutiry and change terminals? Do yu know what procedure I'd have to follow in case I miss the second flight? Any information or previous experience will be helpful. Thank you.

You will go through US Immigration, claim your baggage, go through US Customs, then re-check your bags at the re-check desk. Then you'll go upstairs and through security. All terminals at PHL are connected beyond security and you will be able to walk to your gate from your arrival terminal. You should have plenty of time. If your flight is late and you miss your connection you will automatically be rebooked on the next available flight, possibly involving a connection elsewhere such as Phoenix if there is no later nonstop to Seattle.

  • Time to move between terminals.
    Nov 25, 2013
Hi! I am geting to Terminal C in Philadelphia from Grensboro at 16.50 and I am supposed to go to the terminal A to catch my flight to Madrid at 18.45. Is it enough time to do it? Will I have any kind of trouble? Thank you so much. I appreciate it.

Yes, that should be plenty of time. They are connected beyond security by moving walkways.

    Thank you so much!
