In July, I will be arriving from London at 1.15pm at terminal A and leaving at 3.40pm for Bangor from terminal F. Will I have enough time? Will I have to go through US immigration at Philadelphia? Will I have to take a shuttle? Thank you for your answer.

Yes, that should be enough time. Yes, you will arrive in Terminal A, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and take the shuttle bus to Terminal F.

I am flying from Montreal to Phil, then Phil to Doha, do I need to re-check my luggage in Phil?

If both tickets are on the same reservation, no, you do not. You will pre-clear US Immigration and customs in Montreal. All you have to do in Philadelphia is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

What is the minimum connection time from AA international arrival to AA domestic departure?

90 minutes is the minimum but I recommend 2 hours.

Tomorrow morning, I land in PHL at Gate F39 at 7:00AM. I depart from Gate A11 to Cancun at 7:50AM. Will I make it? Will I have to run? Should I walk or take the shuttle?

Yes run and take the shuttle. You can make it if your first flight is on-time.

My flight from EWR reaches Terminal F at 14:53 Hrs and I have next flight from Terminal C gate 31 going to Pittsburg at 16:25 Hrs. I feel time enough for me to reach comfortably. I think I need to take the shuttle departing from T-F gate 14. Please confirm.

Yes, you have to take the shuttle and yes you have enough time.

Hi there, I have read some previous comments and I just want clarification. My first trip to the US will be next month and Im getting concerned with how much time ill have to get to my connecting flight. My flight arrives at PHL at 16:25 terminal A and a connecting flight to orlando at 18:20 also in terminal A, will this be enough time to clear immigration and re check my bags? Also, because Im flying with the same airline all the way through (BA), I thought they check your bags in until your final destination, is this not the same in PHL? Thanks for the help!

Your bags will be tagged through to Orlando but you will have to claim them in Philadelphia to go through US Customs, then re-check them immediately after at the re-check desk. Your second flight will be operated by American Airlines (possibly both flights will - look closely at your reservation). You should have enough time.

  • Dublin-PHL-Orlando layover time

I am flying Dublin to Philly in June 2016, arriving at 13:50 to Terminal A. I have a connecting flight to Orlando at 15:50, also from Terminal A. Is the 2 hour layover enough time? Do I need to go through immigration, customs, baggage reclaim and re-check?

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Dublin. All you have to do in Philadelphia is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have plenty of time.

i AM LANDING FORM lONDON WITH BA AT 5-23PM AND LEAVING FROM DIFFERENT TERMINAL TO nEW ORLEANS AT 7-15. dO I HAVE ENOUGH TIME. wILL I HAVE TO GO THROUGH IMMIGRATION OR JUST GET THE SHUTTLE

In Philadelphia you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate. I do not think you will have to take the shuttle. You should have enough time.

I will be having a 1hr 40 mins connection at Philadephia to Bradley Hartford (AA, Terminal F), from London (AA Terminal A-East). Do I have to claim my luggage and recheck? And if I do, how to get to Terminal F once I recheck my luggage?

Yes, you will arrive in A, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate. If you depart from F there is a shuttle bus that connects A and F inside security. You have enough time if everything goes smoothly.

I will be arriving at terminal F from Salisbury MD on 13th march on AA,I will then be leaving out of terminal A on an Iberia flight operated by AA,my question is will I need to collect my checked luggage from the first flight and recheck it for the second flight?Thankyou for any help.

No, you won't need to collect your checked baggage. Just take the shuttle bus inside security from F to A and board your AA flight.

  • Connection Terminal C to A

Hi, I am scheduled to arrive PHL Terminal C Gate C27 at 4:58 pm with a connecting flight Terminal A Gate 13 at 6:05 pm. Do you think this is enough time to walk? Also, I read that there is an East and West Terminal A are they far apart?

You don't have to ask the same question twice.

I didn't see the original question. Based on flight statuses, I will be arriving at C29 or C30 and leaving from A10. I have 1:05 between flights and my wife will be in a wheel chair. Both flights are domestic but I'm guessing we have to go through security in T-A. Are we cutting it too close? Thanks.

Help, 1st ever family holiday next month, due to fly in from Heathrow to Philadelphia to catch a connecting flight to Orlando. All flights with AA, arrive 1323 depart 1550. Is this enough time & any top tips as I am getting a little worried about the whole connecting flight thing. Thanks a very concerned Mum.

That should be enough time. You will arrive in Terminal A, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate. Be sure to complete ESTA for your family members before your trip.

I have a connecting flight from Heathrow to Philadelphia (BA) and from Philadelphia to Tampa (AA) The layover time is 1 hour and 40 min. Do I have enough time? What is the procedure for immigration until re-checking baggage? Thank you

That is just enough time. You will arrive in Terminal A, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate in Terminal A, B, or C,.

  • Will we collect our bags and recheck?

Hi. We are booked from London Heathrow to Fort Myers on BA and their partner airline American. We have 2 hours 20 minutes as a layover. Will we collect our bags and recheck or will they go straight through? Also, the layover time was preset by BA. We simply bought the tickets together and so I am hoping it will be long enough. Am I right?! Many thanks.

In Philadelphia you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate. You should have enough time.

  • PIT to PHIL - PHI to SJU connection time 45min

Hi, We are traveling with American Airlines both connections. First Leg: PIT 5.30AM to PHL 6.47AM. Next flight departs at 7.35AM to SJU, also on American. Do we have enough time to connect? Thank you.

That should be enough time if the flight from PIT is on-time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

Hi Again, And thank you for quick feedback. Would both gates be in the same terminal?

Any of the gates could be in Terminal A, B, or C (although departure is likely from A). A, B, and C are all connected inside security by walkways.
