Am arriving at Terminal A from Heathrow at 20.15. Have a connecting flight to Newark at 22.50 from Terminal F. Is it enough time?

Yes, that should be enough time. In Philadelphia, you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and take the shuttle bus to Terminal F.

My father needs assistance after landing in philly today. He is on Delta Flight 375 from Atlanta and he lands at 12.58pm. How do I get in touch with the Delta desk at the gate to ask them to help him to baggage claim where my mother will meet him? Thank u!

If he needed wheelchair assistance it needs to be requested before the flight. There's nothing you can do right now. He'll have to ask for help himself or find his own way out.

I actually got the number for delta operations within the Philadelphia airport from delta customer service. I called them and they arranged for my father to be escorted to delta baggage claim. It is a medical emergency so in this case travelers are accommodated. I wanted to leave this feedback in case anyone else is in this predicament. Thanks so much!

I am flying from Manchester NH to Cancun, April 16, 2016 with a stop in Philadelphia at 8:32am. My connecting flight is at 9:45am. Is that enough time to make it to that flight

That should be enough time. All you have to do in PHL is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. All gates at PHL are connected inside security.

Have flight from toronto landing at 1637 and then flying to Venice at 1835. Do i have enough time? Thanks

Yes. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. You just have to go to your departure gate in Terminal A. It appears that flight arrives in Terminal F. If so, American operates a shuttle bus inside security from Terminal F to Terminal A. You should have plenty of time.

OK,it actually arrives at 1657. The Toronto to Philly is AA and the Philly to Venice Italy is with British Airways. I was under the impression that they were both out of Terminal A

British Airways does not fly from Philadelphia to Venice. That flight will also be operated by AA. Your flight from Toronto may not arrive in Terminal F, but it definitely won't arrive in A. American Eagle flights do not use Terminal A.

Yes, that should be enough time.

I will be returning from Dhaka, Bangladesh to Toronto, Canada via Qatar Airways..After catching my Qatar Flight from Dhaka and Doha, I will reach Philli on Terminal A and catch my connecting flight to Toronto on AA at Terminal F ..I want to know if I can do direct checking of my luggage from Dhaka to Toronto as I am travelling with my wife and child and don't want to fetch 6 suitcases in Philadelphia..Do we have to do immigration at Phili airport although we are catching a connecting flight to Toronto? We are Canadian Immigrants with Bangladeshi PP

In Philadelphia you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and take the shuttle bus to Terminal F. You are legally required to do so, there's no way around it.

Any idea how long the whole process will take? And re-checking desk, is it closer to US customs or i have a long commute/walk before I go to Terminal F

The re-check desk is right after customs. The minimum International to International connection time in Philadelphia is 90 minutes.

Hello, I'm travelling with US airways from Montreal to Miami with a 2hr and 25 min connection time in PHL. Do I have to recheck my bags there and pass through US customs or i just pick them up in Miami?

You will pre-clear US Immigration and customs in Montreal. All you have to do in Philadelphia is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You will arrive in Terminal F, and will have to take a shuttle bus (which runs inside security) to your departure terminal.

Flying from Chicago to Philidelphia catching a connecting flight to London and have 2 hours in Philly. Is this enough time to get bags and go through customs. American Airlines

You do not have to claim your bags or go through US Customs when leaving the US. You will go through UK Immigration and Customs when you get to London. All you have to do in Philadelphia is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have plenty of time.

My son is travelling from CIncinnati to Manchester changing at Philadeplhia. He arrives at Terminal C at 7.55pm and leaves from Terminal A at 8.50pm to Manchester on 31.8.14. As he is travelling on his own, I wonder if u could let me know if this will be enough time for him to catch the connecting flight home.

Yes, that should be enough time. All he has to do in PHL on his way to Manchester is to walk from his arrival gate to his departure gate, which are connected by walkways inside security.

Thank u very much for your reponse. U have put my mind at rest now

  • Electronic devices connecting flight

Hi, when you fly from Europe to the US electronic devices need to be able to be switched on and be fully charged before flying to the US. We will fly from Amsterdam to Philadelphia and from Philadelphia to Knoxville. After the roughly 9 hr flight from Europe to the US I'm pretty sure the iPad and iPods batteries will be done. Will this be a problem for our flight from Philadelphia to Knowxville? Are we allowed to bring those kind of devices on board with empty batteries when you have a connecting flight? Thanks for the help!

They do not have that requirement when going through security at US Airports.
