12yr old flying aloneJun 4, 201310I have a 12 year old granddaughter flying from Albuquerque (Flt 1203) to Spokane, WA (Flt 280) She has to change flights in Phoenix with a 1 hour and 20 minute layover. I am concerned about her making her flight and being able to find her connecting flight. Phoenix is a large airport. Any suggestions?wrnjboydposted on Mon, Jun 3Just give her a plan. When you get off the plane, look at the monitor, make sure she finds the right flight on the monitor and show her how to do that. Then have her follow the signs to the next gate. Then when she gets there make sure she looks at the board at the gate and makes sure it matches her boarding pass. US Air 30 min connection?Mar 21, 201320My family and I (2 small kids) have a 30 minute connection between a domestic flight into PHX and an international flight to Costa Rica, all on US Air. Seems a little tight a connection for a long planned vacation. Any advice? US Air thinks it's fine. Your daughter is probably on US Airways. Transfering terminalsJan 7, 201321Looking for a little help. Flying from Newark to Kauai via Phoenix. Coming in on United and have a little over an hour layover before flying out on US Airways. Looks like I may have to transfer from Terminal 2 to Terminal 4. If you have bags checked make sure they check them through to LIH in EWR - as long as your flights are all on the same reservation they should. Do I have enough time?DMposted on Thu, Nov 29You arrive & depart from the large Terminal 4 - after security checkpoint, moving walkways connect all gates A - D on three sides of the food court: US Airways uses gates A1-14 & A17-30 & B1-14. Southwest uses gates C1-20 & D1-D8. Check on arrival the overhead screens for your connecting gate. You have enough time.thnov12posted on Thu, Nov 29
