    Piedmont Triad International Airport GSO is located in Greensboro, North Carolina, with easy access to Interstate Hwys. I-40, I-85 and the future I-73 and I-74. Its location is convenient for the residents of and visitors to northwest North Carolina and southwest Virginia. With presently two runways and a third under construction, the airport is served by a host of major and minor airlines offering nonstop flights to over many US Cities, with connections around the globe. A Marriott Hotel with 299 rooms is located on the loop road between the terminal building complex and Airport Parkway.

    The modern terminal facility has an easy-access layout – ticketing and boarding concourses are on the upper level, while baggage claim and rental car services are on the lower level. The passenger terminal building contains 296,000 square feet of area on two public levels, 25 gates adjacent to the two concourses, as well as separate baggage claim and ticket counter areas for each concourse. Piedmont Triad Airport offers restaurants, shops and newsstands, a conference room located on the lower level next to the baggage claim area and designed to accommodate up to 20 people.

    Public parking is available in a 2,000-space multi-level parking garage. Surface lots for long-term parking are located across from the terminal building. Additional overflow parking is available just to the north of the terminal and on satellite lots nearby. All long-term and satellite lots are served regularly by airport shuttles. Valet Service (336-393-0270) drop-off is available at the center of the upper level, while pick-up is on the lower level.

    To get from the Airport to your destination, you can rent a car, take a taxi or limo, or a hotel shuttle or a bus--for reservations or information contact Triad Transportation at (336)668-9808. PART (Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation) will get you where you need to go in the Triad. Buses connect to Winston Salem, High Point and Greensboro with affordable, comfortable transportation.     NOTICE: Bryan Boulevard has been rerouted to the northwest to give the airport room to build a new runway and taxiway to better serve the growing Triad population and to allow room for the FedEx expansion. Therefore, the new interchange will carry all traffic into and out of the Airport. Once the interchange is open, the primay accesses to the Airport will be from Bryan Blvd. There will an an additional access from Old Oak Ridge Road--signs will direct you to the Airport. Old Oak Ridge Road will provide the only access to the new FedEx hub facility. During the rerouting time, allow for extra time to get to the Airport.
