PUB Airport & Flight Info
  • PUB Airport Overview
Pueblo Memorial PUB Airport, originally the Pueblo Army Air Base, was quickly constructed in 1941 in the month’s following the attack on Pearl Harbor. After the war, in 1948, the airfield was given to the City of Pueblo, Colo., which remodeled the airport for commercial use. The airport saw steady use and was served by multiple airlines from the late fifties through the early eighties, but the airport has struggled since then. Currently, only Mesa Airlines offers two daily, nonstop flights to Denver. In order to attract more airlines and to retain federal funding, one of Pueblo airport’s primary objectives is to increase the number of passengers from 3,748 in 2003 to 10,000 in upcoming years.
