Pula PUY Airport Overview

Pula Airport PUY is located 6 km from the city of Pula, which is located close to the southern tip of the Istra peninsula of Croatia. Its access road leads into road 66, which connects shortly thereafter to the A9 motorway to the north, and which also connects the Airport with Pula city.  Pula Airport is designated as the alternative airport for parts of Slovenia, Italy & Austria, due to its long runway and favorable weather conditions. 

With an estimated 357,000 passengers in 2012, Pula Airport is served by Croatia Airlines, and a host of international regular & low-fare airlines offering direct and connecting flights to all points of the globe, and by seasonal charters. 
The Airport is also catering to the jet set, arriving by private or rented aircrafts, who may visit the Brijuni islands or attend cultural events at the Pula Arena.
 
The passenger terminal at Pula Airport is divided into international departures, international arrivals and domestic arrivals. Its Information desk is close to the entrance and open 6am-10pm (or call +385 52 530 105). 
15 check-in desks close to the main entrance, for domestic & international flights, include domestic ticketing sales. They are open 2 hours prior to scheduled departure for international flights and one hour for domestic flights.
Other services and amenities in the passenger terminal include: Coffee bar, ATM cash machine, nursery, duty-free shop, meeting point, travel agency, Lost & Found; rental car desks, VIP services & VIP room; and a medical room.

Parking options at Pula Airport: A parking lot close to the passenger terminal for both long- and short-term parking offers 100 spaces.  Three self-service parking ticket machines are available in various areas.
 
To get from Pula Airport to your destination, you can rent a car, take a taxi or a bus:  
(a) The taxi stand is next to the bus terminal. The taxi fare to Pula is about 100 kn; to Hotel Istra, Fazana or Marina Veruda about 180 kn; to Medulin 200 kn and to Rovinj 450 kn, etc. You can also call for a taxi at +38 552 223 228.
(b) Terravision accepts booking for bus transfers to Pula Airport and other Istrian resorts. Many area hotels may also provide their own shuttle bus transportation.
