Aruba Queen Beatrix AUA Airport Overview

Aruba Queen Beatrix International Airport AUA is located on the beautiful Caribbean Island of Aruba, belonging to The Netherlands, and named after its reigning queen. 

Wih an estimated 1.2 million passengers a year, Queen Beatrix Airport is served by many international airlines and charters.

The terminal complex at Queen Beatrix International Airport has separate buildings arranged under one roof.  Internet, food & drink establishments, as well as lshops and lost & found are available:
The ground floor of the passenger terminal complex accommodates check-in facilities for US bound and non-US bound passengers, and a walkway to the concession area. The arrival hall/baggage claim area is located in the center. The Arrivals part of the ground floor has a duty-free pickup/dropoff, a baggage dropoff, a secondary security screeening & the Baggage Relaim Area and US Homeland Security (leading to the US-bound check-in terminal). This floor also has F&B Vending machines and telephone card machines. After passing the security checkpoint, escalators take you up to the first floor.
The first floor of the passenger terminal complex has a meditation room, F&B vending machine, gift & magazine shop, A VIP lounge for non-US bound passengers, and an American Airlines VIP lounge. This floor houses the gate area with gates 1 to 8.

Parking option at Queen Beatrix International Airport: The Parking lot is within walking distance of the terminal complex. When entering the lot, take a ticket from the dispenser and take it with you. Once you are ready to leave the lot, you can use one of thpay stations located inside the arrivals terminal. Parking fees must be paid in Aruban Florins.
If you pick up/ drop off a passenger, you can do so in the loading zone in front of the terminal, for quick discharge of your passenger & luggage.  If you need more time, park in the parking lot.

To get from Queen Beatrix International Airport to your destination you can rent a car, take a taxi, or a bus: The taxi stand is right across from the arrivals terminal; taxis charge a minimum fare of $6 and their fees run from an estimated $15 (Talk of the Town Resort) to $30 (Tiera Del Sol golf course) You can also hire a taxi on an hourly basis at around $45.
The public bus 'Arubus' (tel. 297-582-7089 /fax 8633) has a bus stop with regular service right outside the Airport perimeter.
