Emergency / Medical Services at Raleigh-Durham RDU Airport Dial 9-1-1 in an emergency. The RDU Airport Authority Police Department. Offices are located near the information desk in Terminal A and in the baggage claim area in Terminal C. The offices are open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily or call (919) 840-2125 to schedule a time to retrieve your item.
People With Special Needs / Persons With Disabilities at Raleigh-Durham RDU Airport For those passengers traveling with a disability, RDU provides the following services and accessibility information.
Access to the Airport and Parking:
Accessible parking spaces are available in all RDU parking garages and Park & Ride lots. All shuttles serving the Park & Ride lots are lift-equipped. Wheelchair service is available from your airline. Notice to RDU Customers: With the opening of Raleigh-Durham International Airport’s newest parking garage, handicapped parking spaces will be located in all Hourly and Daily parking garages. All parking charges will be based upon the vehicle’s location. All vehicles parked in Hourly spaces will be charged the Hourly parking rate.
Elevators:
All areas of the airport, including ticketing, baggage claim and security checkpoints, can be accessed by elevators.
Restrooms:
All public restrooms are accessible.
TDD:
TDD public pay telephones for the deaf and hearing-impaired are conveniently located throughout the terminals. Each unit is marked with the international symbol for TDD. Visitor Services staff can help you locate a TDD unit.TDD machines are also available at the information desk in both terminals.

Wheelchairs:
Airlines provide wheelchairs for their customers. Wheelchair service can be requested from the airline in advance or at the ticket counter when you check in.
Medicines:
All medicines must be properly labeled (professionally printed label identifying the medication or a manufacturer’s name or pharmaceutical label). Travelers are permitted to bring the following diabetes-related supplies and equipment through the checkpoint once they have been screened:
* insulin and insulin loaded dispensing products (vials or box of individual vials, jet injectors, pens, infusers, and preloaded syringes)
* unlimited number of unused syringes when accompanied by insulin
* lancets, blood glucose meters, blood glucose meter test strips, insulin pumps, and insulin pump supplies.
