Rimini Federico Fellini RMI Airport Overview

Rimini Federico Fellini International Airport RMI, named after the famous Italian filmmaker, i a primary point of entry for a myriad of European vacationers descending on the resort towns along the Adriatic coast and the greater Emilia Romagna region of Italy, as well as visiting the tiny Republic of San Marino. 

The Airport is located at Miramare, Italy, 8 km southeast of the city of Rimini (on the Adriatic Sea), Italy, or 11 km from the new fairground in Rimini Celle, and 16 km from the City-State of San Marino. The airport can be accessed via A14/E55 Autostrada Adriatica, (Exit Rimini Sud or Riccione) to the SS16 Airport access road.

With a long runway and 0.6 million passengers in 2012, Frederico Fellini International Airport is served by domestic & international, regular and low-cost airlines, and by all major European & Russian charter companies. 
 
The passenger terminal of Federico Fellini Airport offers shops in both the Schengen and non-Schengen areas. For food & drink there are a few coffee shops and a self-service restaurant. Other amenities include an information desk, ticket counter, a bank & an ATM cash machine, rental car desks, and forwarding agents.

To get from Rimini  Airport to your destination, you can rent a car, take a taxi or a bus to the train:
(a)  A taxi stand is located outside the Arrivals area of the passenger terminal. You can also call for a Rimini taxi (39 0541 50020) or a Riccione taxi (39 0541 600553). Taxi fares run by meter, and fares differ from daily and nightly tariffs. For a van there is an additional charge of 1.60 EUR per person (exceeding the 5 person limit).
(b) Bus 9 runs between the Airport and the railway station in Rimini every 30 minutes and costs 1 EUR (Tram Rimini, tel. +39 0541 300511).
