  • FCO-Rome termini- Bologna

Hi! I'll be flying to FCO with Etihad ETA is 06:40am. I'm trying to catch the fastest train to Bologna. How much time do you think it'll take to reach the Leonardo express? (non EU & Check in baggage) And how long of a layover time do I need at the termini station? The tickets online are showing only a 5min connection time! Planning to take the 08:15am to Bologna. You think it's possible?

FCO is a mess right now. I wouldn't pre-purchase any fixed departure time rail tickets.

  • United States to FCO to Naples Italy

How much time do i need to get through customs and baggage at FCO if i have a United Airlines flight arriving Sunday June 7 at 1030 and need to catch the train to Naples Italy - would we have a problem making the 1253 Leonardo Express train ?

I think you would be leaving FCO about an hour after arrival. Then calculate the time to get to Termine.

  • Catching a Train

We are arriving at FCO from the US on Apr 15 at 9:20 AM and are scheduled on the 11:08 train. I read on here that all flights from the US land at Terminal 3 and the train station is also at Terminal 3. Is that correct? Do you think that is enough time to get through customs and get our tickets printed at the kiosk (we are already booked) and get on the train? I would think 1 hour and 48 minutes should be plenty of time, but I want to make sure. Thank you!

The train station isn't technically IN terminal 3, it's closest to Terminal 3 though. Yes, that should be enough time.

I am arriving at 955 pm into FCO from LHR.. whats the easiest way to get to city center at that hour ?? How long does it take to clear customs....

At this time it should not take more than half an hour to get your bags & clear customs. For transport options open www.ifly.com/fco, then click on GROUND TRANSPORTATION / Buses & Trains.

We are a group arriving T-3 Aer Lingus ...where would we direct driver to meet us.as we would have cleared customs in Dublin?

At FCO, the Arrivals level of Terminal 3 has 5 exit doors. The Arrivals hall offers food & drink establishments and shops, Information desks, escalators to the baggage claim area with lost & found counters. Take a pick for your meet-up!

Can my ground transportation for departure take me directly to terminal 5 for check-in

It depends what it is. If it's a taxi or shuttle bus they should be able to.

  • Best taxi service to Rome centre

From gate 709 to taxi service then to Rome centre...how do we accomplish this?

FCO's terminals have boarding areas B through H, with corresponding gates (i.e., gate H19) There is no gate 709 - the highest gate number is 30. After going through 'non-Schengen' passport check, and picking up your bags, you can board outside of the Arrivals level your taxi. Other options: 1. Airport Connection Shuttle between the Airport & all of Rome's hotels at a fixed price (a private taxi costs at least 70 EU). 2. The Airport's train station is in Terminal 3's concourse (leading to H gates), where the Leonardo Express train to Rome runs twice an hour, non-stop, to the main train station 'Termini' in Rome.

  • Time from landing to train
    Jul 18, 2013
I am landing in Terminal 3 from Lisbon and need to take the train from FCO to Roma Termini. How much time should I allow? I'm scheduled to land at 10:45 am and want to catch the 11:38 am.

Yes, I definitely think you could make that train if your flight is on-time since you won't have to go through immigration.

If I need to check baggage, do you think there will still be enough time?
