Hello. We are arriving on Delta from JFK on Sunday morning at 7:10am. I would like to reserve our train ride to Florence, but would like an idea of approximately how much time to allow for getting our luggage, going through customs, and getting to the train departure site. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I have a flight at 8:25am British Airways -- so to make the flight will have to return Budget rental car during off-hours -- which parking area do I drive to and what is the procedure? I am having trouble learning from the company.
That isn't something that anyone on here can answer. I suggest asking when you pick your car up in Rome.
Please would someone let me know what are my options (especially public transport) from Rome to FCO to catch a vueling flight at 6:40 am to Stockholm Arlanda?
We are arriving at 9:45am on a direct American Airlines flight from charlotte NC USA to Rome on August 20th. Will we arrive at terminal 5 or terminal 3? We will have one checked bag how long does it usually take for a person with an american passport not EU to get thru passport control and security. We are taking the leonardo express to rome termini then a frecciarossa to firenze. We want to make the 11:50am train at rome termini stazione. Is this possible? I didnt want to advance purchase the tickets if we cant make the train. Thank you
Nobody arrives in Terminal 5. You will arrive in Terminal 3. I don't think an 11:50 train from Termini is reasonable.
Thanks ZAP. Any idea of how long it will take so I can look at the later trains? The apartment owner in firenze wants a general idea of the arrival time . They asked would it 12:00 -14:00 or 14:00 - 16:00 or 16:00 - 18:00. I see later train times around 12:40 is that time possible?
Hi dnesmith, how long did it take you on the 9:45 am flight from Charlotte? we have similar situation. we were thinking of the 12:30 or 1 pm train out from FCO?
We made the 12:40 train without being rushed. Our flight arrived about 10 minutes late so i think you should be fine with any of the trains from 12:30 to 1pm.
Thank you! Did you buy tickets ahead of time? If so, what site did you use https://www.raileurope.com/index.html or http://www.trenitalia.com/tcom-en? Did you purchase the higher price ticket to allow for one change prior to departure? Also, how much time do you need when switching trains in rome termini?
I will pull up of our old receipts and answer this for you. Are you flying out of charlotte NC? I think all of our tickets were from trenitalia, I will post back when I look at old receipts and tell you what my arrival and departure times were at the different train stations.
We are flying out of charlotte NC and arriving in Rome at 9:45 am? My son has the same flight one week later. Both of us are trying to get to Florence on the same day we arrive into Rome. Thank you for looking into your old receipts!

Would also like to know if you bought tickets when you landed or bought them online.
Bought tickets online at trenitalia . We caught 11:57 train from FCO to roma tiburtina station. Then high speed train to firenze (florence) we got there at 14:25. email me if you would like more info. davidneesmith at yahoo
Ciao. I am arriving from the US on United at 8:10 am with carry on bag only. Do you think I can make the 9 am bus to Perugia?
Does the bus leave from the Airport? Maybe that's barely enough time.
I was told that I could catch a bus from FCO terminal 3 to Perugia. Is that true? Can I buy a ticket on the bus?
Prior to a morning departure from FCO back to the US (I assume out of Terminal 5), we'll be spending the night at the Rome Hilton Airport (which is connected to FCO by a walkway) after arriving at the airport train station. Where is the train station located relative to the terminals and the hotel?
The train station is located across the roadway in the center of Terminals 1, 2, and 3. I assume if the Hilton is also connected by walkway, that it is close by.
US citizen visiting Europe - flying from Prague to Rome. How long will it take to store one bag at the airport then get to the train station at the airport (and where is it located)? Trying to buy advance train tickets to Florence and need to know how long to allow before train leaves. Thanks!
I believe the storage lockers are near the airport train station but am not 100% sure. The train station is centrally located in the middle of the terminals.
