Connection and TimingMay 22, 201300I am flying from Frankfurt to FCO on Luftansa flight (booked through United) that arrives ar 2:05pm. On a separate ticket, I will by flying to Olbia on Meridiana. I'll have to check a bag for the Olbia flight. Will I have time to go through the passport check, customs, and check my luggage with Meridiana in order to make a 4:45 flight to Olbia? Or should I book a later flight to Olbia at 6:15pm? (I haven't booked that flight yet.) Can someone describe what I will need to do when I arrive at FCO? I would greatly appreciate any advice.EAWposted on Wed, May 22[ Reply ][ Like ]

Connection time Delta Alitalia at FCOMay 19, 201310We are flying from Detroit to Rome and have 3 hours before an Alitalia flight to Sardinia. Is that enough time to clear customs and claim luggage? Should we try to take carry on luggage for our 2. week trip?megposted on Sun, May 19Delta & Alitalia both belong to the Skyteam Alliance - your bags will automatically be transferred. As to baggage vs. carry-on: it's a matter of paying baggage fees or buying what you need in Sardinia & only take carry-on. Alitalia uses Terminals 1 (Boarding Area B) and Terminal 3 (Boarding Areas D & H) with corresponding gates. Delta arrives at Terminal 5, where you go through special security checks & passport control. A shuttle bus runs between T5 and T3, and you can connect to T1's Boarding Area B inside security. You have plenty of time.sumay13posted on Sun, May 19

US Airways flight connecting to Air MaltMay 14, 201320Hello, I am travelling from North Carolina on US Airways arriving at 9:30 Terminal 3. My next flight is on Air Malta departing at 11:30 am. These are booked as separate flights and not connections. I have to pick up luggage that I will check. Do I have enough time to go through security, pick up luggage, and get my boarding pass to be on the Air Malta flight at 11:30 am?ajmtraderposted on Mon, May 13Probably enough time if your flight in is on-time and your bags come out at a reasonable time.ZAPposted on Mon, May 13

Help for dropping off at terminals PleasMay 8, 201310Hello, we have flights for my daughter to fly on Aitalia to Milan at 9am with my husband and myself returning to the US at 9:40am on Delta the same day. We'd very much like to get her checked in and to her gate before we go do the same. How long does it take to transfer between the necessary terminals and will it be a real hassle if we have several suitcases? We appriecate any recommnedations. Thank you!karenposted on Wed, May 8You will not be able to go to her gate with her. I suggest you do your goodbyes when you drop her at Terminal 1 and then make your way to terminal 5. You will have to check in and go through special security procedures in T5 so you should not delay. After that you will be bussed to the Terminal 3 satellite for your departure.ZAPposted on Wed, May 8

Malta to AthensApr 16, 201320Flying into FCO T3 with Air Malta at 10.00 with a connecting flight at 11.00 to Athens with Aegean Airlines also T3. My agent says that as our luggage will be transferred straight to the connecting flight we will have enough time to transfer ourselves (providing the incoming flight is on time) , is this true ?Steveoposted on Tue, Apr 16Malta, Italy, and Greece are all in the Schengen zone so you won't have to go through any immigration procedures and Air Malta and Aegean do have an interline baggage agreement, so your agent is correct.ZAPposted on Tue, Apr 16

Transfer advice, between terminals 2 & 1Apr 4, 201320On Wed 24 July 2013 I land at FCO Terminal 2 from Easyjet flight ex Split, Croatia, arriving at 7.40pm. I next fly FCO to Venice, from Terminal 1 with Alitalia, at 9.40p,. As a non-Schengen arrival will 2 hrs suffice for passport & customs checks & transfer & new check-in? Is walking time a serious factor?Cyber Bobposted on Tue, Apr 2At FCO, T2 is connected at the arrivals level to T1. On arrival at T2 after going through non-Schengen passport control, proceed to T1 (follow signs), go up to the departures level, go through security check and on to of T1's Boarding Area B with gates 1-30.tuapr13posted on Tue, Apr 2

time from landing to TerminiMar 31, 201320How long does it take from landing [from Heathrow] clear customs, etc. to get to Downtown? I know the express train itself is 30-35 minutes to Termini. Thanks!chemdocposted on Sun, Mar 31It depends on the terminal and the time of day with how long it takes to clear customs and it depends what you mean "downtown" - do you mean to Paddington? Minimum time from Door open to gate at LHR to stepping off the train at Paddington would be about 1:15 minutes, but probably close to 2 hours would be more normal.ZAPposted on Sun, Mar 31

transfer time between T3 to T1Mar 27, 201340US citizen Coming from Accra at T3 going to US at T1, how much time I need?ansharmaposted on Tue, Mar 26On arrival at FCO you need to go through non-Schengen passport check & customs clearance. Make sure your first airline transfers your bags to your connecting airline (if you use separate airlines) - if not, you need to re-check in your bag at T1. Free shuttles run between all terminals & carparks every 15 mins. Count at least 75 minutes for transfer time (add another 20 minutes if you need to re-check in your bag with different airline).wemar13posted on Wed, Mar 27I have carry on only. But I have 45 minutes only and my agent told me it will be OK???ansharmaposted on Wed, Mar 27

Getting from one terminal to anotherMar 21, 201352My husband and I are arriving from Detroit at 9:10 and catching a flight to Athens at 10:20. He has limited walking ability. Enough time?angie6posted on Thu, Mar 21FCO has 4 terminals (T1, T2, T3 & T5. You will arrive at FCO, Terminal 5 (for U.S. & Israel flights), where you need to go through special security check & passport control before proceeding to your connecting terminal /gates. This area also has a special assistance lounge, you may want to drop by. A shuttle bus outside T5 connects to T3, and another shuttles runs between all terminals & carparks every 15 mins. The time of 1hr 10 mins is extremely tight!thmar13posted on Thu, Mar 21Actually, you will arrive in Terminal 3, Terminal 5 is a departure-only terminal. Your flight to Athens' location depends on what airline you are on. If it's Alitalia, then you need to get to Terminal 1, which is connected to Terminal 3 but not particularly close. This link has a lot of good info on navigating the Rome airport: http://www.roninrome.com/%20transportation/where-to-meet-at-fcoZAPposted on Thu, Mar 211 person likes this post [ Like ]Delta does not fly from Rome to Athens - even though the flight has a Delta code, look closely at your reservation, it probably says "Operated by Alitalia"ZAPposted on Thu, Mar 211 person likes this post [ Like ]
