we arrive in Rome from Singapore (with Singapore airlines business class) end of June @ 8:40am with checked luggage. Will we have enough time to make our flight same day with Aegean Airlines @ 10:50am. same terminal. separate bookings. Prefer the 10:50 flight over the 17:25 flight time as 9 hours transit in rome is to long. Otherwise there is a flight with Blue Panorama but I can't find any reviews on their reliability.

Considering you're business class and off first. You can probably make the 10:50 AM flight as long as your bags come out reasonably quickly. Although it's not without some risk.

  • Is 1h 30m enough time to catch a flight to Ibiza?

Hi! I am flying from London into Madrid Terminal 1 at 10am and want to catch a flight to Ibiza with Vueling at 11:30AM departing from T4. Carry on only. Will I have enough time to clear security, get to T4 and catch the 11:30am flight??

The flight from London to Madrid is with Ryanair. Thank you!

First of all, you posted this in the Rome airport forum, but I want to confirm that you are actually connecting in Madrid, correct? I think you would have barely enough time if you are already checked in for your Vueling flight and the Ryanair flight is on-time.

I'm so sorry I thought I selected Madrid in the dropdown. Yes, connecting in Madrid. Thank you for your help.

I arrive terminal 3 on air canada at 10:45 with luggage and have a seperate Vueling departure also terminal 3 at 13:55.. I have a EU passport, are there seperate security/customs lines for EU nationals? Regards

There are separate passport control lines for passengers with EU passports. You won't have to go through security unless you have checked bags to transfer between airlines. Check in for your Vueling flight online before you leave Canada.

I do have checked bags but the Vueling ticket is disticnct and seperate from the air canada so I guess I have to pick up luggage from carousel and go back upstairs to Vueling check in to give them my bags? Will I have enought time? Kind regards

You should still have enough time.

  • Rome FCO Sufficient Time??

I will be arriving United Airlines at 7:45AM. NO checked luggage I will have carry on. I have an Alitalia flight at 10:00AM separate ticket. Do you think I have enough time to clear customs and check in for my next flight? I think I go from terminal 3 to terminal 1, Thanks for your help.

Yes, that should be enough time. You can likely check in for your Alitalia flight online before you leave the US.

Do you know how long of a walk from T! to T3 ?

15-20 minutes, not including the time you will spend going through passport control.

  • Is 1 hr. 25 min. enough between terminal 1 to 5?

We will be flying Delta in from Palermo at 11:20 to Terminal 1 at FCO and our plane departs to USA on Delta at 12:45. Is this enough time. Carry-on only.

We are departing from Terminal 5

If both tickets are on the same itinerary you can go directly to your departure gate in Terminal 3. If it's two separate itineraries, since you have no checked bags I think you still have enough time to take the shuttle to T5 and go through security there if you have to.

Thank you! We don't fly overseas that often and it seems confusing about needing to go to a terminal that one wouldn't fly out of.

Only Rome has a setup like that. Leave it to the Italians.

  • Phl AA connecting in Rome for Palermo on Vueling

I will be traveling to Rome on AA arriving at 9:15 and then taking Vueling flight to Palermo departing at 1pm. Both flights were booked through American on one reservation. Will I have to go through passport control, pick up my bags and recheck them with Vueling? According to AA, the bags will be checked to go straight through to Palermo. They also told me that I'd be arriving in Terminal 5, and departing from terminal 3. Is this true?

You will have to go through passport control but you shouldn't have to do anything with your bags. You will not arrive in Terminal 5 - no flights arrive there. Both flights will be in Terminal 3.

    Thank you!

Another question: Will AA give me boarding passes for the connecting flight on Vueling or will I have to check in with Vueling?

AA should be able to issue both boarding passes.

    Thank you!

I have a flight from Split (SPU) arriving at Rome Fiumicino (FCO) at 3:40 PM (Vueling). And then I have a flight to Catania leaving at 6:10 PM (Rayanair). Is it enough time?

Yes, that should be enough time, especially if you don't have checked bags.

ZAP I just want to make certain that United arrives into terminal 3. I am flying standby in and looking to buy a confirmed ticket out and want to make sure I can make the connection. According to United flifo it says Terminal 1. My wife and I are on US passports carry on only and looking at connecting to Vueling, out of T3 i believe to Thira, but it will be a 1hr 15 min connection. Also, do we have to get on a bus after deplaning? I have read others talk about a bus. Thanks for your helo I just want to make absolutley sure.

The flifo is referring to the departure terminal on your flight into Rome. You should not have to get on a bus upon arriving, usually United flights use the jetways, but there's no guarantee. The Vueling flight will board via a bus. You have a very difficult connection.

Thank you. Are you aware If I am checked in already will i have to go through security again or just passport control?

You should only have to go through passport control.

  • Where to go, enough time?
    Apr 29, 2016

I will fly from Amsterdam to Alghero (Sardinia) with Altialia with a stop over in Rome. Arriving 19.20 in Rome, leaving at 21.30. This must be enough time for a transit, but where do I need to go? What about the checked in luggage? Which terminal? I don't know the airport and this is my first flight with a stopover. Does anyone have an advice? Thanks.

Everything will be in Terminal 1. Since both flights are within the Schengen area all you need to do in Rome is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

    Thanks a lot!534r79

Arriving from SPU on Vueling; carry on only, at 8:25 am with connection to Newark on United at 9:55 am is it possible???? How far are the terminals from each other?

this is from going from terminal 3 to 5

I do not think this is possible. I see no way you will be at the United check in counter in T5 before the checkin cutoff. Accessing Terminal 5 requires taking a shuttle bus that runs infrequently and unreliably.

  • Arrive on United leave on SAS 55 minutes later

I am scheduled to arrive on United at 10:30 AM Saturday May 22 from US and connect at 11:25 AM on SAS to Copenhagen, on same ticket. It looks like I arrive terminal 5 and depart terminal 3 according to map on the web. Does that mean we do passport control and security and will we have enough time? Thanks

You arrive at Terminal 3. No flights arrive in Terminal 5. You will just go through passport control and go to your departure gate. You should have just enough time assuming your United flight is on-time.

Thanks very much Zap , glad you know the airport well!

I am on Etihad EY0083 arriving 13.10 terminal 3 on May 18 and departing alitalia 15.00 for Barcelona terminal 1(On the same ticket with bags checked through). I understand i need go through a Schengan passport control. Is that correct ? Do i also need to go through security again ?? Will that 1 hour 50 minutes be enough time ?

You should have enough time. I believe you will have to go through security in Rome in addition to passport control.

Would you know if FCO has a separate immigration line for business class flyers or if if it'll be the same line as the coach class flyers?

i booked a connecting flight from Heathrow to Tunisia via Rome with 1 hour 15min connection would it be enough time from Terminal 3 to Terminal 1? is it walking distance or shelter bus ? as i got two small kids with me .

It's walking distance. Are both flights Alitalia? If so it should be just enough time as long as the first flight is on-time.
