I am coming from Florence(Italy) in Alitalia and landing on terminal 1 at 19:45 pm. I have connecting flight Emirates to Dubai at 20:45 pm from terminal 3. I need to know if i need to claim the baggage ? how much time security check would take ? Is it possible to make everything in 1 hours. Appreciate your help.

i really need to know above questions answer,

If you purchased your tickets together you have enough time as your bags will be transferred to Emirates, you just need to RUN to the Emirates transfer desk. If you purchased two separate tickets you have no chance, you need to get an earlier flight to Rome.

Thanks ZAP. I have got the tickets together so my bags got transferred to final place. The moment i got down at domestic i started running and reached to skybus 7-8 mins (terminal signs are very clear, no need to ask) then 5 mins in passport control, Pretty much 15 mins i reached to emirates desk where i got the actual boarding pass and was in front of boarding gate. People kept coming i believe next 30 mins. So 1 hour is sufficient unless something happens unexpectedly

  • T3 to T1?

Hi I am flying from Abu dhabi to Rome to catch a connection flight to Tirana with Alitalia. The ticket says I need to change from T3 to T1 which means I need to get a schengen visa since a chinese national. But according to the immigration police that both flights are in T3. So I am confused. Do I need to go through passport control to get the connection for Tirana?

The Ticket is wrong, the Tirana flight will depart from T3.

Hi ZAP thanks for the answer. I am wondering how sure you are about my Alitalia flight for Tirana departing from T3? I checked the flight information on the airport website. It still says the flight for Albania depart at T1. I am arriving on a alitalia flight from Abu Dhabi and getting a connecting flight for Tirana. If I have to change terminal, does that mean I have to enter Italy as a tourist?

I've just come back from my trip and I have information to share regarding the connection T3 to T1, it is walking distance and takes not more than 15 minutes in a hurry walk, it is very good signed all the way down and even written how many mnutes you need to reach your gate. What I can advise is always to check your gate number when you get inside the airport because they often change the number before you arrive on the airport. Hope this would be helpful

Hello, I will be flying from Israel to Amsterdam through FCO in about two weeks. I have an 1h5min connection in FCO - is it enough? Both flights are with Alitalia.

I suggest you open www.ifly.com/ams, click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS, then scroll down past the map to the detailed text (terminal layout, arriving/connecting passengers, flight transfer, terminal details, etc)

We are planning to book a flight on Ethiopian airlines that transits through FCO. We arrive and depart on the same plane with the same flight number. There is a 1 hour lay over. Will we have to go out and back through security or just stay in the boarding area?

You will just stay in the boarding area.

hello, I will have transit of one hour only. I'm coming from Florence via Alitalia and suppose to change from terminal one to terminal three to catch emirates flight to Dubai. Is it possible since I don't have luggages.

You will arrive as a 'Schengen' (domestic) arrival at T1, Boarding Area B - all you need to do is follow signs to "Boarding Area D or H" (depending at which one Emirates depart from - look at overhead screens for Airline & gates). Note that Gates H1, H2, H3 are on the first level, while an escalator takes you to gates H6 - H19A.

Hello I am traveling to Paris from Tirana. I land in Rome at 07:15 and my next flight to Paris is 08:05. Do i have enough time to go from Terminal 3 to Terminal 1? From tarmac to bus transfer and airport entrance do i go left or right to transit area?

That will be difficult to make as you will also have to go through Schengen passport control.

When i go from bus transfer to airport entrance, transit is left or right? THANK YOU SO MUCH
