HI we are taking the train from Florence arriving in FCO around 9.52am. Our international flight to Asia leaves at 12noon and leaves from T3. Would 2 hours suffice in the airport?

Arriving from Madrid on Sat Sept 24 at 13:55 (terminal unknown) Departing for Tel Aviv 50 minutes later (terminal unknown) No checked bags. Both flights via Alitalia (and suggested by their website). Is this enough time to get from arrival gate to departure gate (i.e. no going through security or customs)?

Looks like both are Terminal 1... so I'm assuming should be ok?

Hi! I'll be arriving from Santiago de Chile to Terminal 3 at 7:00 AM, and have an onward Air France flight to Paris-CDG from Terminal 1 at 10:20 AM. The flights are NOT on the same itinerary. Will I have enough time? Since both airlines are SkyTeam, will it be possible to check the bag through to CDG when checking in in SCL?

Sorry, forgot to point out that the SCL-FCO flight is Alitalia. :)

Yes, that should be enough time. You will have to show your Air France confirmation to the Alitalia agent in Santiago. They are not obligated to check your bag through but are able to.

    Thank you very much!

Hi. I have a flight on Emirates from Dubai arriving Terminal 3 at 13:25 with checked bags. I have a flight on a seperate ticket with Meridiana to Olbia leaving Terminal 3 at 15:45. Will I make this connection? Thank you!

With checked bags that's just enough time.

    Thank you.

I'm flying in from US to Rome FCO on 9/9/16. I am going to Monterosso & instead of taking train all the way I would like to fly to Florence & take the train from there. My flight gets in from US around 9:05 AM & flight with Al Italia leaves @ 10:25. I'm assuming Al Italia is in another terminal. Will I have enough time to collect baggage & get to my flight in time. I want to use air miles so I don't want to book unless I'm sure I can make it!

That would be very difficult on two separate reservations.

Hi, I'm travelling from Cairo to Rio De Janeiro via Rome. I'm flying alitalia from cairo to rome and I'll be landing in terminal1, and I'll have 1 hour and 45 minutes to catch my connection from terminal 3, both flights are alitalia and on the same tickets, and I have an egyptian passport, so will I need a transit visa, and do I have enough time to catch my connection? thanks

Your flight from Cairo will arrive in Terminal 3. All you have to do is go through security and walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. Since you did not post your citizenship I will assume you are Egyptian. Egyptian citizens do not require a transit visa for an airside transit in the Schengen Area (which this is). You should have enough time.

    Thank you so much

sorry, another question, I noticed that on my return from Rio I'll be landing in terminal 3, and my connection to Cairo will be at terminal 1 this time, so will it be the same and I won't need transit visa since I'll be going to another terminal. Thanks

That's also incorrect, the Cairo flight should depart from Terminal 3.

Delta DTW-FCO, arriving at 09:15 at T3 connecting to Vueling FCO-JMK at 10:40 at T5. Carry-on baggage only, separate itineraries. Is 1hr and 25mins enough time? I know that's rush hour!

I don't think you'll make that flight. You will have to go through customs and immigration, then walk to Terminal 5, check your bags in with Vueling, and go through security. You will not make this flight.

Vueling does not use Terminal 5. They use Terminal 3. However, I still think that's not reasonably enough time.

  • Bom --> Abu Dabbi -> JFK. Do I need visas

i just booked my cousins ticket from India to aboo dabby to Rome to JFK ( final destination). She has a green card ( US ) and Indian passport. There's far too less time now ( leaving tomorrow ) to get a schenzen visa. She'd be arriving I think in terminal 1 and leaving of terminal 5. With a green card and a onward ticket to JFK , does she still need a Schenzen visa ? is she going to have difficulties . For those 4 hrs , she'll be @ the airport but she has to change terminals ( T1 or T3 to T 5 ) . Abs no interest in leaving outside.

Since she holds a valid US Visa she doesn't need a Schengen Transit Visa.

Thanks Zap for that Zap reply

We are arriving from Malta on Alitalia 0887 at 1:35 Terminal 1 then to JFK on Alitalia 0610 at 2:45 Terminal 3. Is this connection possible?

It's just enough time if everything goes smoothly.

Does immigration and baggage collection required at Rome before boarding Alitalia flight to Athens? if yes how much time it will take ? are terminal different ?

You will go through passport control in Rome. Are your tickets on two separate reservations or one reservation?

Just talked to her ..Its one long ticket but 3 different carriers. Jet airways for 1 leg ( Bom to Abo dabbi ) and Altalia from Abu Dabbi to Rom. I beleive bags will be checked in all the way till Rom

Then she will arrive in Terminal 3 and depart from Terminal 1 and have to transfer her bags.

Hello, My mom is flying to Naples from Moscow via Rome, with arrival to Rome in Terminal 3 and departure to Naples in terminal 1, both flights with Alitalia. She is concerned about transit and immigration procedures, she's got 1.5 hours in between the flights. The flights are booked on one ticket. Can you please advise what she has to do in terms of immigration and passport control and transit procedure in this case. Can she go directly from one terminal to another, she has the appropriate valid visa to travel already. Thank you!

She will go through passport control and then through security and to her departure gate in Terminal 1. She has just enough time if the flight from Moscow is on-tine.

Hello, I'm flying Dubai- Rome on Emirates with US passport. Then taking alitalia/darwin flight to Pisa. Will 2.5 hours be sufficient to clear passport control, collect luggage, and get to domestic terminal gate (I assume is 1-hour check in required for domestic)? Thank you.

That should be just enough time if everything goes smoothly.

I'm arriving in Rome via Delta 444 from JFK, at 10:45 a.m. I have a connection on Alitalia 896 to Cairo that leaves at 11:45 a.m. Is this enough time to make the connection? Will I need to go through immigration in FCO?

You will not go through immigration since you are not entering the Schengen Area, you just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

    Is an hour enough time?

It should be enough time if the flight is on-time.
