Planning to fly from Washington DC to Rome via United Airlines and then connect to an Alitalia flight to Brindisi. These will be two separate tickets. How much time do I need to schedule between flights at FCO? Only carry on luggage. Thank you
Hi! I'm coming from Brazil to Paris the 08 august 2017 with an 1h connection in Rome by Alitalia.
They say in the reservation that I'll have to change terminals and so take the bag and drop again. 1h is time enough to pass through immigration and take/drop bag? Do you know wich terminal do I arrive and wich one do I depart?

Thanks!!!
Hello! We are traveling from Montreal to Rome June 13, our flight arrives at 8:30am. We'd like to catch a flight to Genoa. One leaves at 10:20am, the other at 2:20pm. Would we have enough time to catch the 10:20 after going through passport control, customs etc.
FYI- we will only be bringing carry-on luggage
We are Indian Nationals. We will be boarding from Mumbai, India and our end destination is Detroit, USA for which we have a valid US visa. We are not holding Schengen visas. Our flight into Rome is by Alitalia and we are flying out of Rome to Detroit on Delta Airlines. All of our flights are on the same ticket, so I think we will get boarding passes for all flights from Mumbai airport. It looks like we will have to go through Schengen Passport Control, reading up on this thread.. But will we require a visa? Or can we transit the area as being passengers in connection, ie. with connecting flights?
Since you are not entering the Schengen Area you will not have to go through Schengen Passport Control in Rome. Both gates will be in Terminal 3.
Thank you for your response! But the ticket says arrival by Alitalia is in Terminal 3 and departure by Delta is from Terminal 5. Will we still not enter the Schengen area?
We will be landing with Alitalia in Terminal 3, and then connecting for Podgorica, Montenegro with Alitalia again. The reservation is Alitalia all through in one single reservation. Which terminal will the Alitalia flight for Podgorica depart from? How long will the walk be to the next gate?
It will likely depart from a bus gate in Terminal 3. It will likely be a short walk.
My wife and I are arriving FCO on Delta from Detroit on June 9. We are connecting to Alitalia for a flight to Palermo. I assume we arrive Terminal 3. Do you know which terminal we will fly out of? We are checking bag to go all the way to Palermo.
You will fly out of Terminal 1. You just have to go through Schengen entry passport control and to your departure gate.
My husband is arriving On United 42, arrive at 10:50a. I will already be in Rome. We will both be departing on Alitalia 1475 at 230P from Rome to Venice. His flights are on two different tickets. If I meet him after he goes through customs and retreaves his bags, how do we then transfer to the new terminal.
You can just walk to Terminal 1 from there.
Hello I am Arriving from Dubai to FCO Terminal 1, and my connecting flight going to Ibiza (Spain) is at Terminal 3 do I need to go through passport control, to go Terminal 3 from Terminal 1 ? I have Schegen Visa for Spain.
Both flights will be in Terminal 3. You will go through Schengen Entry Passport control and security in Rome.
thank you very much
I'm flying from TLV to FCO with Alitalia, landing at 18:30 on a Sunday (July 2nd). Taking off at 20:00 with Alitalia to Milan and need to pass immigration. Is this doable or should I look for more time in FCO? What would you guys recommend as a minimum?
That should be just enough time.
On 10/25 departing tel aviv 10:30 am arriving FCO 1:25 pm. at terminal 3. Departing 2:50 pm
terminal 1 to jfk... Flying both segments on Alitalia on one reservation. Do we have to go thru passport control? Will there be enough time for transfer?

Thanks
Both flights will actually be in Terminal 3. You won't have to go through passport control.
