Getting from one terminal to anotherMar 21, 201352My husband and I are arriving from Detroit at 9:10 and catching a flight to Athens at 10:20. He has limited walking ability. Enough time?angie6posted on Thu, Mar 21[ Reply ][ Like ]FCO has 4 terminals (T1, T2, T3 & T5. You will arrive at FCO, Terminal 5 (for U.S. & Israel flights), where you need to go through special security check & passport control before proceeding to your connecting terminal /gates. This area also has a special assistance lounge, you may want to drop by. A shuttle bus outside T5 connects to T3, and another shuttles runs between all terminals & carparks every 15 mins. The time of 1hr 10 mins is extremely tight!thmar13posted on Thu, Mar 21Actually, you will arrive in Terminal 3, Terminal 5 is a departure-only terminal. Your flight to Athens' location depends on what airline you are on. If it's Alitalia, then you need to get to Terminal 1, which is connected to Terminal 3 but not particularly close. This link has a lot of good info on navigating the Rome airport: http://www.roninrome.com/%20transportation/where-to-meet-at-fcoZAPposted on Thu, Mar 211 person likes this post [ Like ]Delta does not fly from Rome to Athens - even though the flight has a Delta code, look closely at your reservation, it probably says "Operated by Alitalia"ZAPposted on Thu, Mar 211 person likes this post [ Like ]

Rome -LamenziaMar 19, 201360We are a party of 7. We are looking at flying from Marseille to Rome on the 17th of September, then hopefully making our connecting flight for Lamenzia. We would arrive in Rome at 12:30 and our connecting flight leaves at 1:15...enough time or not??? Thanks!!!Debposted on Tue, Mar 19Since both of your flights are within Schengen it's possible, but you're talking Italy and you're talking Alitalia here, so I wouldn't be surprised if one or both of your flights is late.ZAPposted on Tue, Mar 19It looks like we will be flying from Marseille with Air France, and with Alitalia to Lamenzia...would that make a difference?Debposted on Tue, Mar 19Yes, it's a help, since the AF flight is more likely to be on-time. Both will still be within the Schengen area of Terminal 1.ZAPposted on Tue, Mar 19Thanks ZAP..soooo you think that we will be able to make the connection to Lamenzia? One more thing...will we have to get our baggage or will it just be put on the flight to Lamenzia? Thanks so much for the info..it is a great help!!! DebDebposted on Tue, Mar 19Since you're staying within Schengen it should be checked through to Lamezia and you won't have to claim in Rome. It's a very tight connection, so any mess up and you'll miss it, but luckily Alitalia has lots of flights from Rome to Lamezia, so if you miss, you can be rebooked.ZAPposted on Tue, Mar 19

connection from united to alitaliaMar 18, 201340Arriving fco 7:45 a.m. from newark, nj. trying to catch a 9:20 alitalia flight to venice. i know it will be close, but is it possible? worst case scenario, i pay the change fee and take a flight 4 hrs. later. how best to navigate thru customs, etc? any help you can give, greatly appreciated! (we are on a wed. in july) thanks!imaarposted on Mon, Mar 18If your tickets are bought on the same reservation you probably won't have to pay a change fee if you miss your connection. However, I think you will be able to make it.ZAPposted on Mon, Mar 18Bought on separate reservation. each directly thru united and alitalia, respectively. do you know which terminal is customs and baggage pickup?imaarposted on Mon, Mar 18You will arrive in terminal 3, even though United flights depart from Terminal 5. This website does a good job covering it - http://www.roninrome.com/transportation/where-to-meet-at-fco You will then have to walk to Terminal 1 for your Alitalia flight.ZAPposted on Mon, Mar 18

Connection procedure & timingMar 18, 201321Arriving T1 9.35am from Amsterdam. Depart Aegean Air for Athens 11.00am T3 on separate ticket with cabin luggage only. I will have a printed boarding pass. Can I check in at gate or do I have to go to regular check in counters? Is there a fast track check in counter? Will I make it? Thanksmazzaposted on Sun, Mar 17All you need to do on arrival at FCO is follow signs to 'Boarding Area' (gates B through H). T3 has Boarding Are with gates D1-10 & 6-19. (All Boarding areas B through H are inter-connected.momar13posted on Mon, Mar 181 person likes this post [ Like ]Thanks momar13. Forgot to say that I have Aegean Air app on my phone, so I can do a web check in. Where would I find a convenient kiosk in T3 to print out my boarding pass? Or do you think I'd be better to check in via a computer & have the printed document - in case I can't find a kiosk? Thanks again.mazzaposted on Mon, Mar 18

HOw Much time to leave between flights?Feb 10, 201310I fly from TUrin to FCO, then USAIR to the US. I am trying to decide how much time to leave between the arrival from Turin and Departure to US? Thank youmartyILMposted on Sat, Feb 9First find out if your departing airline from Turin will transfer your bags to US Airways & which boarding area they arrive at - if not, you would have to claim your bags and check them in with US Airways. Terminal 5 with boarding area G is for US flights. T5 can only be accessed from T3 via shuttle bus. All other terminals are connected at their boarding areas. I suggest you open www.ifly.com/fco, then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text.sufeb13posted on Sun, Feb 10

ConnectionFeb 5, 201330How long does it atke to go from Terminal 5 (US arriving on American) to Terminal 1 (Alitalia) domestic. I will have 2 1/2 hoursckessposted on Wed, Jan 30At FCO, after going through passport clearance, you have a choice of using the special shuttle bus at T5 to T3, then walk past the control tower and Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 (T1 & T2 are connected at Arrivals). OR take the free shuttles running between all terminals and carparks daily, every 15 mins; (during 1am-4am you can also request such shuttle by using the intercom situated at every shuttle stop.) You have enough time.thjan13posted on Thu, Jan 31

ThanksASLposted on Mon, Jan 28I suggest you open www.ifly.com/fco, then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text. Any recommendations what is the least expensive? Also where to meet once we arrive at FCO?Maxposted on Mon, Jan 28Both airlines Delta & United use Terminal 5 at FCO. You may want to meet in front of the information counter in the Arrivals area, where you also can get some transportation information. Delta to FCO, Meridiana to OlbiaJan 27, 201310I arrive to FCO on Delta at 7:30 a.m. and must connect to Meridiana Flight to Olbia at 10:30a.m. Can you give me directions to make the connection? Thank you.***posted on Sat, Jan 26At FCO Delta arrives at Terminal 5 where you need to go through passport check and may need to pick up your bags if Delta does not transfer bags to Meridian, which uses Terminal 2. You have two options to get to T2: (a) take the free shuttle bus outside running between terminals and carparks every 15 mins., or (b) take the special shuttle to T3 and walk over to T2 (the control tower is between them. You have plenty of time.sujan13posted on Sun, Jan 27

Would we have enough time??Jan 16, 201310We are thinking about taking a flight from Marseille to Rome, then from Rome to Lamenzie Terme. Our flight from Marseille would arrives at 12:25 and our flight to Lamenzie would leave at 13:15. From what I can find, both flights are in and out of T1. Do you think that we would have enough time to make our flight to Lamenzie? Thanks...DAposted on Tue, Jan 15
