I will be flying with my family from Naples to Rome (with check in baggage) and then have a 3 hour layover in Rome before flying on to our final destination in Toronto. Both flights are with Alitalia.
1) Once arrive in Rome, do we need to pick-up our luggage and go to some international check point or are bags automatically placed onto next flight bound for Toronto?
2) Is 3 hour layover sufficient time to make our connecting flight which is probably in some international terminal to Toronto?
As we have children I just want to make sure before we book flights
Your bags will be automatically sent to Toronto. All you have to do in Rome is go through Schengen Exit Passport control and walk to your departure gate in Terminal 3. You have plenty of time.
Which terminal will our lax flight to Rome land in and which terminal will we connect with our flight to Palermo
You will arrive in Terminal 3. If your flight to Palermo is on Alitalia it will be in Terminal 1.
Just received notification for flight time changes, leaving me not much connection time.
Arrive Terminal 1 at 5:25 PM (AZ from BDS) and leave from Terminal 3 at 6:25 PM (CI to TPE). Single award ticket booked by DL. How are my chances looking? Will I need to redo security checks when transferring between T1 and T3? In case I were to miss the connection, who would be responsible for re-booking me? DL (ticket issuer), AZ (incoming flight carrier) or CI (outgoing flight carrier)? Thanks in advance.
You do not have to go through security again, just Schengen Exit Passport Control. You have enough time if the first flight is on-time. If you miss the flight Alitalia or China Airlines would rebook you.
i'm flying to tel aviv from JFK on alitalia with a two hour connection at FCO- is that enough time? will i have to change terminals?
Yes, that should be enough time. Both flights will be in Terminal 3.
Hi - I am arriving in Rome terminal 1 at 8,30pm AZ flight and need to catch a connecting flight to Abu Dhabi terminal 3 at 10pm. I will only have carry on luggage. Should I walk it or is there a shuttle ? Will I have enough time ?
You will have to walk. You should have enough time if the first flight is on-time.
I am taking Alitalia from Tel Aviv to Venice with a 1hour and 10 min stop over in Rome. I don't know the terminals at FCO the flights are leaving from or arriving. Is 1hour 10, enough time to make the flight to venice.
You will arrive in Terminal 3 and depart from Terminal 1. You have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
I will be flighing in from Los Angeles with Air Italia and have 1hrs10min transfer to fligh to Dusseldorf. Is this too tight?
Flight to Dusseldorf also on Air Italia ticket.
It's possible.
I am flying to Paris with Transit of 50 minutes connection flights in FCO via Alitalia (same ticket for both flights). Arriving Terminal 3 and departing Terminal 1. Is this doable for me and my BAGGAGE as well if flights were kept af exactly same time.
I appreciate your help
I also should check in on the passport control for my shenghen visa
That's just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
I am flying from Montreal to Catania, via American airlines with stop over in Philadelphia and Rome. I have one ticket through travelocity. I only have 1hr and 20 minutes in Rome. Do you know if I need to pick up baggage in Rome before boarding for Catania. AA says yes, Travelocity says no.
What airline are you flying to Catania?
If it's all on one ticket then you should not have to claim your bag in Rome and should have enough time.
Thank you.
I will be flying from Tel Aviv to CDG Paris on Alitalia, connecting for my second flight at FCO. I have a wide choice of connections, ranging from 1 hour 20 minutes to 12 hours. Will the shortest connection of 1 hr 20 min be long enough, or should I try for something in the 2-4 hour range?
I personally would book the 2-4 hour range, but the 1 hr 20 minute one isn't impossible.
