I'm arriving in Rome via Delta 444 from JFK, at 10:45 a.m. I have a connection on Alitalia 896 to Cairo that leaves at 11:45 a.m. Is this enough time to make the connection? Will I need to go through immigration in FCO?

You will not go through immigration since you are not entering the Schengen Area, you just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

    Is an hour enough time?

It should be enough time if the flight is on-time.

I am arriving at FCO Rome from Malta via Alitalia then connecting at T3 with Air Croatia to Split. Will I have to claim luggage and check in again

Are your tickets on one reservation or two separate reservations? If two separate reservations then yes, you will have to claim your bags and check them again in T3 with Air Croatia.

Hi, I am coming from Abu DHabi. I am landing in Rome at 7 AM and I have my connect flight to Atlanta at 12 noon. I have a US visa and Indian passport. Do I need any additional Visa in Rome. My flight is landing on Terminal 5 and next flight from terminal 3. Please suggest

No, you do not need a transit visa since you hold a valid US Visa. Both flights will be in Terminal 3 - no flights arrive in Terminal 5.

I have the same iterniery as mentioned here Abudhabi-Rome-Atlanta. But the e-ticket shows the arrival terminal is 3 and departure terminal is 5.

You don't have to go to Terminal 5, you can go directly to your departure gate in Terminal 3.

I'm arriving at Fumicino At 9.05 a.m from Chicago. Than I want to book separate ticket Rome Fumicino to Barcelona El Prat. How much time should I allow between the flights because I would first need to pick up my baggage and check in for the new flight? I would probably use Vueling or Raynair for the BCN flight. Thank you in advance.

I wouldn't book anything before 12:00 at the absolute earliest.

I will be flying from Atlanta to Rome on Delta 62 arriving at 7:00am Terminal 3 connecting to Delta 6619 (operated by Alitalia) at 10:00am to Naples from Terminal 1. Do I need to pick up my baggage and recheck? Also do I have to leave secured area and go through security again? Thank you!

No you do not have to do anything with your bags. You should not have to go through security again, but may have to due to construction. Regardless you have plenty of time.

I have flight from a non-schenhgen country to Paris, going through transit in Rome, Fiumicino (FCO) terminal 3. Same airline tickets with checked baggage. I am arriving at 7am and the next flight to Paris is at 8am. Do I have to go through passport control and security? If so will I miss the flight?

Yes, you will have to go through passport control. Security depends on your origin city. You have barely enough time.

I have a connecting flight from Rome to Chicago I land in terminal 3 and depart to Chicago from terminal 5 do I have to collect luggage? The tickets I purchased were booked at once? Will I have to recheck in through security?

You don't have to do anything with your bags and depending on where you're coming from, if you are checked through to your final destination you don't even have to go to Terminal 5. What airlines are you flying?

Elal from Tel aviv to Rome then American airline from Rome to Los Angeles

    Thanks so much

I will be flying into T3 on AZ 651 and my friend will be flying into T1 on AZ 2037. We both will have checked bags to claim but we both need to meet up together at the airport somehow to catch the Leonardo Express train to the city. Are the arrivals area of the two terminals connected or what is the recommend option on where we could both meet without getting lost and with having to do our baggage claims and customs etc.

I would meet in the Leonardo Express train station.

    2 separate reservations

We are flying into FCO from Mykonos, Greece on Vueling, and have 2 hours to connect to a Qatar Airways flight to Doha. Both flights are in T3. We'll have check-in luggage. Will we need to collect our luggage and re-check it at the transfer desk? Will we need to go through security / passport control? Any advice is much appreciated.

Are your tickets on one reservation or two separate reservations?

    They are on separate reservations

Yes, you will have to claim your bags, re-check your bags with Qatar, go through security and schengen exit passport control. That will be very difficult to do in 2 hours.

I think that will be very difficult, if not impossible if you have checked baggage.
