I am flying on Alitalia from Palermo to Rome scheduled to arrive at 7:30am. I then have a United flight to Chicago departing Rome at 10:50am. I will have checked baggage. Will I have enough time to collect bags, get to Terminal 5 and check in for the international flight?

Yes, that should be enough time. The Shuttle stop to take your to T5 is very close to T1 where you will arrive.

  • Is there enough time to make the connection with Alitalia to Chicago?

I am flying into Rome-FCO with Alitalia from Tel Aviv and have a connecting flight with Alitalia to Chicago-ORD. Is 50 minutes enough time to make the connection? Which terminal do I land in and which terminal is the connecting flight to Chicago located in? TY.

Both of your flights will be in Terminal 3. All you should have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You should have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

    Thank you Zap, uch appreciated.

Hi, I am traveling from Athens to JFK with a 1 hour layover in Rome. Will I have enough time to get to my connecting flight? And what security can we expect to go through? It was bought together through Delta. Arriving 1:45p Alitalia Flight 719 (Terminal 1) Departing 2:45p Alitalia Flight 610 (Terminal 3) Thanks for any help/advice you can give!

All you have to do is follow signs from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You should have enough time if your flight from Athens is on-time.

we are flying Alitalia from Toronto Canada to Rome arriving terminal 3 at1300. We need to connect to Alitalia flight to Milan in terminal 1 at 1455. Is that enough time and do we pick up our luggage then check in again or just go directly to our gate in terminal 1

You will not have to claim your baggage, you will go through Schengen passport control and security and proceed directly to your departure gate in T1.

We are arriving on a Delta Flight from the United States transferring to a code share Alitalia flight to Istanbul. Will we have to go through passport control to get from Terminal 3 to Terminal 1?

Since you are not entering the Schengen area you should not have to go through passport control.

I'm flying from Amsterdam to Rome, arriving FCO at 20:55 (T1) and I have a connecting flight to Rio de Janeiro departing at 21:45 (T3). I will have checked luggage and I'm EU citizen. Can I make this connection? How are the terminals connected?

Did you purchase your tickets together or separately? They are connected. If tickets were purchased together, All you have to do is follow signs to your departure gate. You will go through Schengen Exit passport control on your way.

Thank you! I think they are purchased together (the company booked them), because they have the same booking number. Both also have Alitalia flight numbers.

Flight from TLV to JFK, connecting time between AZ809 (from TLV) and AZ609 (to JFK) possible? What about AZ603(from JFK) to AZ806 (to TVL) in 50 min? We have only handlagguage and we are EU citizens.

Should be enough time. Since you won't be entering the Schengen Area and all flights are on Alitalia you should not have to go through passport control.

We arrive in Rome on American Airlines at 9:20a.m.with checked bags. We will need to go through customs. Can we make an 11:45am Ryan air connection to Palermo?

I would think it would be possible, but doesn't leave much time to spare if your AA flight is delayed.

  • Bari to Rome Rome to Marseilles changing airlines

We are flying Ryanair from Bari to FCO arriving 7:20 and changing for flight on Iberia at 9:25 to MRS. Tickets purchased separately. Will we make the transfer in time? We will have probably have checked luggage. Also, my husband get wheelchair assistance. Thanks

Iberia doesn't fly from Rome to Marseille. Are you flying Vueling? You should have enough time. Checked luggage will make it a bit tighter but it should be possible, since all flights are within Schengen.

You are right it was booked through Vueling although the flight is ab IB one. Thanks for the reply. I don't know which terminal Ryanair uses. Would you? I know Vueling flies out of terminal 3.

Ryanair Uses Terminal 2, which is a little thing in between Terminals 1 and 3. It used to be considered part of Terminal 1.
