  • How Much Time to Allow?
    Sep 11, 2016

Next summer, flying from Brindisi to FCO on Alitalia, then changing to Air Canada flight to Montreal. 2 separate reservations. Will have checked bags. I'm in business class for the second flight. How much time should I allow between flights in order to not have to rush or worry? Thank you.

I would still want 3 hours.

My flight departs at T1 and my parents' flight departs at T3. Would I be allowed to enter the security with them at T3, sending them to their gate, and then walk to my own gate in T1 (without exiting the security)? Thanks!

    No, you can't.

3 nephews landing LH232 at 12:35 connecting to TG945 at 1:30 PM. I think they are both T3 gates. Bags checked. Thoughts please, thanks!

If both flights are on the same reservation it will be very difficult but it's not impossible.

Arriving FCO from NRT on EY at 1:10pm, connecting flight on IB to MAD at 3:20pm. Will I have enough time to make my next flight?

On two separate reservations that will be difficult. On the same reservation that should be enough time.

I am arriving FCO from calabria on Alitalia at 9.20am flying out on AA 11.20am to Chicago, Not booked in same reservation. I am trying to see if I can gate check my bag or have it checked all the way through. If I can't do either will I have enough time to catch my flight?

You won't be able to do either. You don'r realistically have enough time.

I am flying in a few days to Madrid so I am changing my plane in Rome, FCO. I am arriving in Terminal 1 from a Shengen area country and I need to go Terminal 3 to catch my flight. Time between flights is 55 minutes. Do I have enough time? Which is the fastest way for me to get from T1 to T3 and how to I proceed?

Are both flights on the same reservation? What airline are you flying out of Rome on? Where are you going?

Yes both flights are on the same reservation and I am flying with the same airline, "Alitalia" to Madrid. I beg my pardon, I have made a mistake, since I am going to transfer from T3 to T1. If you have any information how to do so and how much time it may take to me, please help me! It is my first time in FCO and I need to catch my flight in less than an hour.

just follow the signs to your departure gate. YOu will just go through passport control on the way. You have barely enough time.

I have an Alitalia flight arriving into Rome at 12:20. Then on a separate ticket I have another Alitalia flight to Naples at 2:30 at a different terminal. Will I have enough time to get baggage, go through customs, change terminals, go through security and make the flight? What are my options if I don't make the flight?

Where are you flying into Rome from? You should have enough time.

    Miami, USA

Yes, that should be just enough time.

Can i get a boarding pass at the boarding gate? My flight arrives from dubai at 2005 at terminal 3 and my connecting alitalia flight departs to skopje at 2145 at terminal 1.. My baggages hopefully will be checked through to the destination.. Trying to save time by hopfully being able to reprint my boarding pass at the gate?

You can get your boarding pass at the Alitalia transfer desk.

Is that near the gate before security? Or after? I hope there is enough time what do you think?

Our Air Canada flight from Toronto arrives at 9:35 and our flight to Dubrovnikon Croatia Airlines leaves at 11:15, both in Terminal 3. Flights are on same ticket. Do we only have to go to security and then to departure gate? If it's the case, do we have enough time to make the connection

You don't even have to go through security. You have enough time.

I am arriving from Abu Dhabi on Etihad at 1.10pm and checking onto Iberia departing at 3.20pm with luggage. Both are in T3. Do I need to clear customs or can I check in for Iberia in-transit? Is this enough time? Thanks

Yes, since you are on two separate reservations you will have to go through passport control, claim your bags, re-check them with Iberia/Vueling, and go through security.

    Thanks Zap

We are arriving 12:10 p.m. into Terminal 5, FCO (Terminal 5) via United, We have to meet with our friends who are arriving 4:15 pm into FCO (Terminal 3), via British Airways - about 4 hrs later.. What is the best way to go from Terminal 5 to the Baggage arrivals section of Terminal 3 ? We have 3 pieces of luggage & would like to wait preferably near an airport restaurant. Do we need to go through security again? Thanks.

YOu do not arrive in Terminal 5. You arrive in Terminal 3. You both arrive in Terminal 3. Meet at the meeting point in Terminal 3.
