  • Belgrade, Serbia to Boston, USA via Rome Fiumicino

Traveling form Belgrade, Serbia to Boston, USA with a connection at Fiumicino Airport. Arriving at FCO at 1:40 pm and leaving for Boston at 3:20pm. I have only 1 hr and 40 min to make the connection. Is it doable? The flight from Belgrade should arrive at Terminal 3, and US flight departs from Terminal 3, as well. Both flights are Alitalia and booked on the same reservation. Do I need to go through the security check, and immigration after disembarking from the flight from Belgrade? I have a non-EU passport and a US visa. Thanks!

You should only have to go through security. You should have enough time.

Hi, I am planning to book a flight from London Heathrow to Abu Dhabi via Rome with Alitalia. The details are as follows: 28 August London departing at 6.45 am Arriving in FCO at 10.15 am 70 mins to change FCO to Abu Dhabi (AZ7040) departing at 11.25 am Can someone let me know if 70 mins is enough to catch my connecting flight? Also do I need to change terminals to catch my connecting flight? If so, would I need a transit visa? I am not a UK or EU national but have a valid UK residence visa

  • Flight from US, then getting to an Alitalia flight

I have a flight from the US to FCO. I have a separate flight then booked on Alitalia to Bari. I know I will have to go through immigration and claim my bag, then get to another terminal. Will I then just check into Alitalia? And any terminal information would be helpful from baggage claim to Alitalia terminal.

You will arrive in Terminal 3 or a makeshift facility, depending on how soon you are traveling. Your flight to Bari will depart from Terminal 1. I suggest at least 2 hours for your transfer.

I am connecting in Rome from Atlanta to Malta. My connection time is only 60 minutes. Do I have to pass customs in Rome? Is this a reasonable time to go from T3 to T1?

Yes, you will have to go through Schengen passport control in Rome. This is a possible connection but really depends on that flight from Atlanta arriving on-time or preferably early.

We land at FCO on Aug26 @ 7:35am T3 and depart for SUF @8:45am from T1. We each have one checked luggage and one carry on bag. Is this enough time?

If both tickets were purchased on the same reservation it might be barely enough time.

  • Connecting Flight to Genoa

I am looking at a flight landing in Rome at 12:50 (on October 15th) then with a connecting flight departing 90 minutes later at 2:20 PM to Genoa. Would be coming into Rome from USA so would have to go through customs at Rome I presume. Is 90 minutes enough time for the connecting layover to Genoa? We wouldn't have any checked luggage to worry about

I think that would be barely enough time.

I am flying to JFK from terminal e on Aug 19. Will this be the same or diverted due to fire repair? thanks

Probably not. Apparently while a small portion of the airport is still closed, it is now operating close to normal capacity by using temporary buildings.

hi, we are traveling on the 21st September RIC-FCO/AirBaltic BT/ and FCO-LIS /TAP/ have 1:35h to connect. Would it be enough time? all bags go stright to final distanation. Should we have to pick up schuttle?

You should not have to take a shuttle. Both flights should actually be in the Schengen area of Terminal 3.

I'm flying into FCO Terminal 3 from Australia via London on BA on 18 Sept 2015 arriving 10.30am. I have to connect to RyanAir 4891 departing 13.50 for Catania, but the terminal number doesn't appear to be available yet. Which terminal does the flight leave from and do I have enough time to connect? Presumably I will have to clear customs in Rome, collect checked luggage and go to RyanAir departures.

    Ryanair flights use Terminal 3.

  • VUELING from Croatia CONNECTING AT FCO to UA to ORD, NO CHECKED BAGS

I will have only a carry on bag but want to know how long it takes to connect in Rome (FCO) getting from Vueling (a flight from Croatia) to United (a flight to Chicago). Are they in the same terminal? Any way to make the connection in less than an hour and a half? Trying to avoid an overnight. Thanks!

No, they are not the same Terminal. Vueling uses Terminal 2 and United uses Terminal 5. I don't think you can do it in 90 minutes.

It should be barely enough time.

Hello, departing Fco for dxb August 9. Do I check in at terminal 1 or 3 now because of the fire? Thanks so much for your help!

Emirates is still using their check-in counter in Terminal 3, though your flight may actually depart from somewhere else.
