  • 1 hour transit in fco from Beirut to Madrid
    Nov 5, 2014

I am travelling from Beirut to Madrid on Friday. My transit time is 1 hour only in Fiumicino Airport. The plane stops on tarmac and the transfer to the airport is by bus. Do i have time to change from T3 to T1 and catch my flight to Madrid ?

It will depend on your first flight being on-time. It's doable.

  • Transfer from terminal 3 to terminal 1

I fly from Belgrade to Bologna via Rome with ALITALIA. Transfer time is only 1 hour. Arrival time (from Belgrade) is 13:40 and departing time for Bologna is 14:40. Do I have enough time to transfer and how easily and quickly to transfer from Terminal 3 to Terminal 1? I only have hand luggage. Where I go to passport control, in Roma or in Bologna? Thanks in advance.

You will have enough time but it doesn't leave much time to spare. You will go through Schengen passport control and security in Rome.

Am flying into Rome from Venice arriving 8.55am and needing to fly out for international flight, leaving at 12md. These weren't booked together. Is there enough time to get luggage and to the necessary check in by the 2hour before flight? (so an hour in between landing and check in)

What airline are you flying for your International flight?

  • Transit from terminal 1 to terminal 5 for the flight to Atlanta

Please kindly provide me indications on how to get to terminal 5 from terminal 1, do I need to follow transit indication since I will be arriving from Catania? which gate has been scheduled for the flight Rome - Atlanta ? Should I be doing the check in once again?

Did you purchase separate tickets or together? If you purchased tickets together and are given your Atlanta boarding pass in Catania, you can access your departure gate in T3 through T3 Schengen exit passport control without going to T5 first (T5 has no actual gates). Once you get there approach the Delta agent as they will have to check your documents and issue you a new boarding pass.

Hi, I'll be arriving FCO from Toronto YYZ at 1:15PM and getting on the AZ 844 to Lagos LOS at 2PM. Please is 45mins enough for this transfer?

It should be as both flights will be in the Terminal 3 satellite and since you won't be entering the Schengen Area you won't have to go through passport control. However, it obviously leaves very little time to spare in case of a delay.

    I see. Thank you

Arriving from Toronto at terminal 3 at 1:15pm. Connecting flight Alitilia terminal 1 to Munich at 2:35pm terminal 1. We don't have EU passports. Will we be able to make our connection ?

forgot to say that both flights are Alitalia.

Yes, that should be enough time.

  • Is an hour enough?

Is 1 hour and 10 minutes enough time to catch a plane at FCO? I am flying from Atlanta to FCA via Delta and then from FCO to Bucharest with Delta as well (DL6615). Is an hour enough time to make this connection?

    FCO* Sorry

Your flight to Bucharest will not be operated by Delta, it will be operated by Alitalia and will depart from Terminal 3, the same Terminal from which you should arrive. You will not have to go through Schengen Immigration as you will not be entering the Schengen area. You should be able to go directly from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

  • Geneva-Tirana flight, connecting in Rome, fast way to get from T2-T3
    Oct 23, 2014

Hi! I have a return connecting flight from Geneva to Tirana, through Rome Fiumicino. For the trip Geneva-Tirana, I reach Terminal 2 and have to catch my other flight in Terminal 3. I have 1:30 mins of time to do this. On my return trip, I arrive in Terminal 3 but need to get to Terminal 2. I have 1 hour to do this. I am travelling with hand luggage only. How far are the two terminals? Which is the quickest way to go for this? Thanks, Nita

It is a very easy walk between T2 and T3, you should have plenty of time on your way to Tirana. On your return from Tirana it will be much more difficult as you will have to go through Schengen Immigration, then make your way to T2. However, you should be able to check in for your Easyjet flight online which should save some time.

  • transit gates H to D in Terminal 3

I am travelling standby with Air Canada from Rome to Toronto. If I don't get on the Air Canada flight I will travel with British Airways to London Heathrow. Both airlines depart from Terminal 3. Is it possible to get from the H gates to the D gates without going through security and passport control for a second time?

Made a mistake BA departs in Terminal 3. Is Terminal 3 gates G and H? If so is it possible to walk from one to the other without going through security and passport control again?

Yes, you should be able to.

Arriving in FCO Rome from Catania via Vueling Air at 9:30 am and then to US via US Air at 11:30. Which terminals? Is there any passport control in FCO or just security check? How about timewise- is there enough time. Thanks.

You will not have to go through passport control in FCO as Catania is also in the schengen area. However, to check in for your US AIrways flight you will have to take the Shuttle bus to Terminal 5 where you will check in and go through security. You should have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

My wife and her sister are flying to FCO arriving on Flight 720 at 9:45am and have to transfer to Air Malta Flight 613 departing at 11:00am. Can they make the transfer, and what is the procedure? Thanks for any help, Herb Sherman, TX, USA

It will be nearly impossible for them to make this transfer. They should not have booked it.

  • Transfer form Delta to Alitalia

My Delta flight arrives at terminal 3 in Rome at 7:30 am. Upon arrival I will proceed to terminal 1 to catch a 9:20 am flight on Alitalia to Terana Albania. I MUST go to an Alitalia kiosk at the Rome airport to check in for my flight. Can I accomplish this with a 1 hr and 50 min layover? Also, where will I find the nearest Alitalia kiosk?

Did you purchase your tickets together? If so Delta should be able to issue your boarding pass for your Tirana flight and check your baggage through to Tirana. Also, if you purchased tickets together, as Albana is outside the Schengen area, your flight will not depart from Terminal 1, but will depart from Terminal 3 and you may not even have to go through schengen passport control to access your second flight.
