• SMF Airport Overview
  Sacramento International (SMF) Airport is 12 miles northwest of downtown Sacramento, California’s state capital. Sacramento is located in California’s Central Valley approximately 90 miles from San Francisco and Lake Tahoe and just 50 miles from Napa. The medium-sized and easy-to-navigate airport is divided into two separate terminals – A and B. Sacramento airport is served by several major airlines providing non-stop or connecting service to all points domestic and international.

• Baggage Carts / Skycap at Sacramento SMF Airport
  Baggage Carts are available curbside for departures and in the Baggage Claim area. Skycap service is also available throughout the airport to persons needing special assistance.

  Baggage Claim is located on the lower level of each terminal.

  In the upper concourses there are fax machines and payphones with ports for laptops, and separate internet terminals. Meeting rooms or conference/presentation rooms are available to the public only through the Host Airport Hotel, which is located across from Terminal B.

  Unbranded wireless Internet service is available throughout the public areas in both of out terminals for a modest fee of $6.95 per business day.   There are two Main Terminals A and B, and an International Arrivals Building. Terminals A and B each have two concourses.

• Lost & Found at Sacramento SMF Airport
  Report lost baggage directly to you airline. To report a lost item or to turn in a found item, please call 4-0701 from any white courtesy phone at Sacramento International Airport. When at home, please call (916) 874-0701 about lost and found items.

  There are two Main Terminals A and B, and an International Arrivals Building. Terminals A and B each have two concourses.
  
  

• People With Special Needs / Persons With Disabilities at Sacramento SMF Airport
  Parking:
  Persons with disabilities whose vehicles have a disabled license plate or valid DMV placard may park in the designated spaces located in economy, hourly, and daily lots. Regular parking fees apply to everyone using these spaces. Airport shuttle buses are lift-equipped and Z-ramps are available from the hourly lots to the terminals.   In addition, four of the auto rental companies at the airport -- Avis, Budget, Hertz and National -- offer vehicles for persons with disabilities (such vehicles must be reserved at least 24 hours in advance). SuperShuttle also offers lift-equipped van service.
  
  TDD Phones:
  10 telecommunication devices for the deaf (TDD) are located at the airport throughout terminal lobbies and concourses.
  
  Wheelchairs:
  Wheelchair assistance is available from both airlines and curbside skycaps at no charge (skycaps can also assist with luggage). Those wishing to transport a battery-powered wheelchair aboard an aircraft should make prior arrangements with their air carrier.
  
  Elevator Service:
  Elevator service is available between the terminal lobbies and concourses.
  
  

• Pets / Animals at Sacramento SMF Airport
  Animals are not permitted in the terminal at the Airport unless they are being used to assist disabled individuals, or are in proper pet carriers.

  Restrooms are conveniently located throughout the terminal and concourses.

  Airport Guest Services, Airport Information and Travelers Assistance
  Information Booths and Boards Volunteer-staffed information booths operate in the lobbies of Terminals A and B1 at Sacramento International. Trained volunteers are on-hand each day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. to answer questions and distribute information about the airport and local tourist attractions.
  
  Informational literature available at the booths includes the Sacramento Convention and Visitors Bureau ‘Visitors Guide,’ brochures for various attractions throughout the region, and a variety of airport publications. Volunteers will answer questions about International’s facilities and services, provide directions to visitors from out of town, and contact the Sheriff’s Department in the event of an emergency.
  
  The Terminal A booth is located in the central lobby area adjacent to the elevators and the booth in Terminal B1 is located across from the ticket counters near the baggage carousels.
  
  Information boards are located in each terminal and feature phones to obtain information about local attractions, accommodation, and transportation. Information phones in Terminal B2 will connect callers with questions to the Terminal A booth.
