How do you get from baggage claim to car rentals? I'm used to the Oakland airport. First time at SMF in along time.

At Sacrament Airport, exit your terminal and take the frequent Rental Car Terminal Shuttle to the Rental Car Terminal located on McNaire Circle, near Air Cargo and Beneto.

Head towards baggage claim and there will be signs pointing you in the direction of the car rental agencies. It is very simple and easy to find! or you can hire your own car rental from TCL http://www.chicagoairportlimos.us

How can we call ourselves a city when we dont have transportation to the airport. This is surely small town thinking. Sacramento has come a long way but this is something that needs to be fixed.

How can I get from Sacramento International Airport, to anywhere in San Francisco (I'm staying for a few days), in April? don't mind any trains, buses, Bart, Amtrack, etc. Do I have to go into central Sacramento? or is there something that goes straight out of Sac Airport? Thanks.

    1. (b) Yolobus (530-666-2877) offers daily service to/from the airport and connection to Regional Transit. 2. Transportation pickup Areas are located in the ground transportation area adjacent to baggage claim in Terminal A; and in Terminal B at West & East commercial curbs. Also google search Amtrak & Greyhound.

why is there no public transportation to downtown sacramento from the airport?????

There is: (a) SuperShuttle (800-258-3826, a shared-ride provider, offers service to the counties of Sacramento, Yolo, El Dorado, Placer, San Joaquin, Yuba, Butte, Solano, Sutter, and Nevada. (b) Yolobus (530-666-2877) offers daily service to the airport and connection to Regional Transit.

Hopefully this will help others: Try the Yolo Bus - Route 42A goes non-stop to downtown Sacramento every hour. Route 42B runs in a loop in the opposite direction - nonstop from downtown to the airport. The ride takes about 20-30 minutes depending on traffic.
