Going from T1 to T3Sep 11, 201232Getting confused. Some say there is a (secure) walkway from T1 to T3. Others say you have to leave the secure area, take the airtrain, and reenter TSA. Flying early September 2012.gallicbearposted on Wed, Aug 15[ Reply ]1 person likes this post [ Like ]At SFO, T1 is opposite T3, with the garages in the center of the terminal circle. Take the Red-line Airtrain (follow signs) which cicles all 4 terminals.weaug12posted on Wed, Aug 15

Terminal 1 to Int'l Terminal/JetBlueJul 12, 201210I am flying in to Terminal 1 on Delta and have a 48 minute connection to make a jetBlue flight out of Int'l Terminal. Do i have to go out of security? Also, I am a Clear member but have not yet received my card in the mail, not sure if without the card if i do have to re-enter I can get ahead with Clear or if i have to wait until the card arrives. Finally, my 7 year old daughter is meeting me for the jetBlue flight, not sure if I should have my husband try to take her through security to meet me...STBposted on Wed, Jul 111. You need to get to the 'Domestic Terminal 1 Station' out of security area - follow signs: take the Red Line (not Blue), whose next stop is International Terminal A Station (if you continue flight at A gates; the next 2 stops are garage stops; then get off at International Terminal G Station if you depart from the G gates. You will. Between A & G gates is the Main Hall where you can meet your daughter.thjul12posted on Thu, Jul 12

Terminal 3 to International Terminal AJun 25, 201210Is there a secured transit route from Terminal 3 to International Terminal A? As in, would i have to go through security again? Thank you.confusedflyposted on Sun, Jun 241. There is no Terminal A - the International Terminal has boarding areas A & G with corresponding gates. 2. Domestic to International Terminals: A secure connector allows passengers, transferring from domestic flights in Terminals 2 & 3 to international flights in Boarding Area G, to walk directly to their new gate without having to exit and re-enter security or ride a shuttle bus between the two buildings. From there transfer to Boarding Area A.mojun12posted on Mon, Jun 25

Terminal 1 to International TerminalJun 11, 201210I am leaving out of the country from Terminal 1 and want to see one of my friend leaving out of International Terminal (G) on the same day. Once I get through the security and in the Terminal 1, can I go to the International Terminal? Or, can I go to International Terminal with my boarding pass showing the gate in Terminal 1?fatpinkposted on Sun, Jun 10At SFO you can meet your friend only in the pre-security area of the International Terminal (the G stands for boarding area G - gates 91-102). You may want to meet him on the arrivals level, near the informaton desk. All terminals are connected in their pre-security areas by Red & Blue Lines of the AirTrain.mojun12posted on Mon, Jun 11

Domestic to InternationalJun 8, 201211Hello, I am flying domestic to SFO then on an international flight with the same airline, United. I have a short connection and wanted to know where the "secure connector" is from domestic to international terminal so I dont have to exit and go back through security. My itinerary says I will be flying in and out of terminal 3 but I don't think that is right... isn't terminal 3 domestic? I am flying to China. Thanks for your help!mscposted on Thu, Jun 71 person likes this post [ Like ]To determine whether you depart from the International or the Domestic Terminal 3 - look at your ticket: The International Terminal has Boarding areas A, gates 1-12 & G, gates 91-102. Terminal 3 has boarding area F with gates 68-90. International terminals are mainly used by airports for international arrivals. As to secure connector, between international terminal and T3, just follow signs.frjun12posted on Fri, Jun 8

Delta domestic to international terminalMay 1, 201210Hi,I'm arriving by delta flight from LAX arriving SFO at 10.15 AM and need to go to international terminal for Frankfurt Germany. The tickets says Lufthansa flight operated by United airline at 13.55. I guess i have enough time to collect my luggage and go to international terminal. Please give me advice. I'm nervous traveling alone.***posted on Mon, Apr 301. First at LAX, when checking in, find out if your baggage will be transferred by by the Airline taking you to SFO (not all airlines do, in which case you would, on arrival at SFO, claim your bag in the baggage area, and take it along on the AirTrain, checking it in at the International Terminal. If your airline transfers, your bag's tags need to indicate all three airport codes). 2. While all terminals are connected in the unsecured areas by the Red & Blue lines of the AirTrain, a secure connector allows passengers, transferring from domestic flights in Terminals 2 & 3 to international flights in Boarding Area G, to walk directly to their new gate without having to exit and re-enter security or ride a shuttle bus between the two buildings. 3. The International Terminal has boarding areas A and G on either side of the 2-level Main Hall. Terminal 1 has boarding areas B & C and offers access to the International Main Hall. 4. On Arrival at SFO look at the overhead screens to find your Lufthansa flight number, gate & time of departure, then follow signs. Suggestion: open www.ifly.com/sfo and click on the Quick Links (at upper left) at "Terminal Map" - you see the terminal layout & below it all the information you need.tumay12posted on Tue, May 1

how to meet someone in terminal 1Apr 25, 201210my parents are gonna arrive in sfo terminal 1, and they can't talk any english. How can I manage to see them inside the airport. is there a way to go inside? where is the good place to meet up? thanks a lot!somayehposted on Tue, Apr 24I presume your parents use a domestic flight, if arriving at Terminal 1. Therefore, all they need to do is follow signs (internationally understood) and the others to the baggage claim area. Meet them there (find out airline & flight number ( look at overhead screens of baggage carousels) or meet them in front of the information counter in the arrivals area.weapr12posted on Wed, Apr 25

Inter arrival connect to Term 1 deptApr 23, 201210What is the process for connecting from International flight to domestic flight departing from Terminal 1 and how long does it take on average?***posted on Mon, Apr 231. As an international arrival at SFO (unless you have gone through US customs clearance at participating airports in Canada and the Caribbean), you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag (the tag should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes). This takes about 35-45 mins. 2. To connect from the International Terminal to the domestic terminal 1, you can take the AirTrain's red line at either station A or G below the Main Hall.moapr12posted on Mon, Apr 23

Meet someone connecting from internationApr 4, 201210I am flying domestic but would like to meet someone flying in from hkg andf then flying onward to my destination on the same day. where can we meet? Where is the re check bag area for international flyers with connecting flights and can i get to it if I have a domestic ticket?kangjieposted on Tue, Apr 3Your friend will arrive in the international terminal where he/she will have to get bags, go through customs clearance and - if continuing flight - recheck-in bags. I suggest you meet up near the Information counter at the Arrivals level. All four terminals are connected in the unsecured areas by the Red and Blue Lines of the AirTrain, an automated people mover. You cannot meet your friend in the secured area with only a domestic ticket.weapr12posted on Wed, Apr 4

travelling internationalMar 17, 201210from frontier but they arent checking me through, I have two hours till my next flight out (cathay pacific), is there any way i could go secure so i dont have to deal with lines, im afraid 2 hrs would be stretching itAMMposted on Fri, Mar 161. You arrive at SFO via Frontier at Terminal 1 and need to get to the International Terminal (a Hong Kong flight is listed today at gate A3). Since Frontier does not transfer your bags, you need to recover them from T1's baggage carousel, then take the blue line of the AirTran (an automatic people mover) to the International Terminal, where you need to check-in your bags with Cathay, go through security check and on to your gate. Two hours will be enough time.samar12posted on Sat, Mar 17
