i am arriving into SFO from Calgary on UA5576 and i have a connecting flight to Singapore via UA001. I will check thru my baggage. Will i have enough time given that the transit is only 1 hour 13 mins. how far of a walk and will i have enough time?
Yes, that is enough time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Calgary. All you have to do in SFO is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. It should take less than 15 minutes.
I'm arriving at 5 am from Ogg to SFO via United. I have a connecting flight with Southwest at 6 10 am to Denver. I don't have to check bags or anything. How far amI from the terminal? Will I make it or are the terminals not designed to help me make my connecting flight through Southwest? I'll be traveling with 2 kids ages 6 and 7 so they will not walk as fast as me. Thanks in advance for your helpful knowledge!
It will be very difficult - you will have to change terminals and go through security again, although the early morning arrival does help.
you an't walk from the United terminal to the Southwest terminal without exiting and reentering security?
Can't you walk from the United terminal to the Southwest terminal without exiting and reentering security?
No, Southwest uses Terminal 1 which is not connected to any other terminals inside security.
Going from g98 to e62 will my husband have to go through security? He has a very tight connection
Flying from Toronto to Melbourne and United has flights with a one-hour layover at SFO. I will be pre-cleared for immigration in Toronto, but do I still need to pick up my bags and go through a security check? YYZ to SFO operated by Air Canada, SFO to MEL operated by United -- flights booked on the same ticket.
You do not have to do anything with your bags or go through security in SFO. You just walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, which will both be in the G concourse of the International Terminal. You have enough time.
I am traveling out of SFO to SEA and then to CDG on Monday and my flight out of SFO is at 8:15am. Please can anyone advice what time is best to go to the airport as this is my first time in SFO, thanks in advance. Will 6 am be too late or early?
Hi, I'd be flying domestic from LAX to SFO apparently landing at 18:30pm, and my flight to LHR is at 20:05 which mean I have a 1hour 35mins connecting time. Is that enough time for me to catch my flight to LHR? The domestic is Delta and international is Virgin Atlantic.
That is enough time if everything goes smoothly. You will have to change terminals and go through security.
Thanks! Would I have to recheck my bags again that came from LAX or will it go straight on to my next flight?
Oh and how long will it take me to the terminal, like how far apart will it be?
No, you will not have to re-check your bags. You arrive in Terminal 5 and depart from Terminal 2. So it's about a 15 minute walk between them.
Flights are UA, SYD-SFO-BNA. The flights I like have a two-hour layover, which seems sketchy to make it through immigration and customs, then make my connecting flight. I'm in GOES so the INS part may go quickly, although it sure didn't at ORD last time I made an overseas jaunt. Haven't been through the system at SFO. Is 2 hours enough in general, or only if everything goes perfectly?
Yes, that should be enough time, definitely if you have Global Entry. SFO is fairly efficient.
