We are flying Toronto to San Francisco on Air Canada, landing at the international terminal, then connecting to a United flight to Seattle. We have 85 minutes between flights. Are we able to get off the first flight and walk to the gate for the second flight? We are travelling on one ticket but will have checked luggage. Will we need to claim our luggage and recheck it and get UA boarding passes?
You don't have to do anything with your bags in SFO You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.
I am flying Swiss Air from Frankfurt to San Francisco arriving at 115pm. I then would like to take a flight on United to Austin at 325pm. Is that enough time to go through immigration/customs, pick up my bags, recheck them, go through security and get to my flight. I do have status with United so will be able to go through short security line.
Your first flight will be on Lufthansa or United, not Swiss. That is just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
My flight from Kansai lands at SFO at 11:15 am and my next flight has moved up and now takes off for DEN at 12:55. I have global entry. Will I need to get my luggage or go through security at SFO? Will I make it?
Yes, in SFO you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security. With Global Entry you should have enough time.
I have a flight from LAX to TLV with a 1h 8m layover in SFO. all flights with United. 1. Is it enough time? 2. Do I need to go through security again in San Francisco? 3. Do I need to change terminals? 4. Do I need to re-check my luggage?
Yes, that is enough time. You will arrive in Terminal 3 and depart from Concourse G of the International Terminal. They are connected inside security by a walkway. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
I am on United from KOA (Hawaii) arriving at TERMINAL 3 at 5:28 am and need to connect to an Air Canada flight to Toronto leaving TERMINAL IN-INTL at 7:15 am. Is that enough time to connect and will I have to go through security at TERMINAL IN-INTL? Thanks.
Yes, that should be enough time. Most Air Canada flights use Concourse G, which is connected to Terminal 3 inside security by a walkway.
Thanks for your help. As it turns out, the "International Passengers" link at www.flysfo.com has the info about Terminal 3 to Concourse G connections but I was not sure of the Concourse used by Air Canada (and the page displays arrivals info - you have to notice and click the departures tab at the top of the page).
I am flying from Dubai to SFO and arriving at 124pm local time, I have a connecting flight to San Diego at 15.20pm. Is there sufficient time to clear immigration ,customs and be in terminal 2 before my flight.
That's barely enough time if everything goes smoothly.
