I am flying From Phoenix to SFO with United (1hour 10 min layover) then SFO to KZN with Turkish Airlines . do I have to claim my luggage and go through customs? do I have enough time
If both flights are on the same reservation then all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. There is no US Customs when leaving the US.
I have a 1 hour layover in SFO where i arrive at International Terminal A(Hawaiian Airlines) and need to catch a connecting Flight with United Airlines at Domestic Terminal 3. Is one hour enough time and is there a way to avoid going through the security again?
There is no way to avoid going through security again. It's barely enough time without checked bags and impossible with checked bags.
I will have checked bags as well :(
Do i need to re-check them? I don't understand why Expedia site would come up with such an itinerary when it is so difficult to get to the connecting flight.
I found another itinerary with a 1hr 55min layover in SFO connecting from Intl Terminal A to domestic terminal 3 (United airlines). With checked bags, would it be possible to make it ? Thank you
That would be easier.
I'm a us citizen returning from SYD to SFO and have a 1:20 layover to get to my connecting flight to SAN. I won't be checking bags and will be flying first and business class so reentry through security is through the expedited lines. Is this enough time? I land on a Friday morning at 7:20 am and next flight departs about 8:30 am, all united.
It's barely enough time if everything goes smoothly.
We are flying a United from Denver to Kauai in January with only a 55 minute layover. Is that a safe connection with a mother who needs a wheelchair and given the fact that deicing may have to be done before the plane leaves Denver? With as popular as Hawaii is, Im afraid three of us may not be able to get out on the next flight if we miss our connection?
Yes, that should be enough time. Denver is pretty efficient at De-Icing.
Thank you!
I'm traveling from Mexico City to NY via SFO
I land in San Fran at 22:28 & my connecting flight to NY leaves at 23:25.
I have been told my bags with go through but will I get to my flight on time? I didn't choose this flight my travel agent arranged it & told me it's plenty of time but I'm a little worried, as I'm assuming I have to go through immagration & I know that can sometimes take awhile.
Any advice would be helpful thanks in advance.
you have been told completely wrong. You have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. 58 minutes is not enough time for that, even late in the evening.
Thanks for that, I have made my travel agent change the flight that has me flying into San Fran @ 19:05 & out @ 23:25 still.
All on United ticket. ORD to SFO T3 with 1:10 connection time for SFO Intl T to TPE. Is this enough time and can you get to the connection inside of security.
Yes, that is enough time. Yes, there is a walkway inside security from T3 to Concourse G of the International Terminal.
I am going to travel IND-SFO-NRT in Dec. I have 65 min. connection in SFO to board the flight to Narita, Japan. All flight tickets are under United airlines reservation and SFO to NRT is operated by ANA. ANA boarding time is normally 40 min before departure time. Will I able to make this connection?
All you have to do in SFO is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time if the flight from Indianapolis is on-time.
Traveling from PHL through SFO to SYD on Qantas on Dec. 10. Layover is 1:53. Is that enough time to get from domestic to international terminal? We are not checking any bags.
What airlines are you flying? That's fairly important information.
We are flying American PHL-SFO and Qantas SFO-SYD. Thank you for your advice.
That should be just enough time if the flight from PHL is on-time.
I am going to fly PVG-SFO-ATL. However United changed the time of the second flight. So I only have 2hr15min connection time. I am a Chinese citizen. Is it enough for me to go through the custom, take my baggage and get on the next flight?
Yes, that should be enough time if the flight from Shanghai is on-time.

My flight from BWI is scheduled to arrive at 09.52 AM at SFO this Saturday. Next flight from SFO to YVR will depart at 10.40 AM. Will I make this connection, or should I change my flight schedule?

Forgot to mention: both flights are operated by United airlines and I do not have checked baggage
Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
