Flying from YVR to SFO landing at 21.49. Outbound flight to SYD leaving at 23.25. Is this enough time to transit with 3 checked bags?
If both tickets are on the same reservation, yes, that is enough time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Vancouver.
Hei, I am arriving from San diego by Virgin America at 1.30pm and connecting a flight by Emirates at 3.20pm. I have 3 checked in luggages. Will these luggages will checked through or do i have recheck with the Emirates? Thank You.
Are your tickets on the same reservation or two separate reservations? If it's all one reservation then your bags will be checked through and you do not have to claim them in San Francisco.
I will be arriving at 4.35pm with Swiss and have a connecting flight with Air Canada to Vancouver at 6.55pm. Is this sufficient time for the Connection?
Yes, that should be enough time.
Hi, We are flying into SFO on a Qantas flight, arriving at 9.30am on 14 December.
United has just changed our flight time to Denver and it is now leaving at 11.10am. Will we have enough time to make that flight or should I try to change it to the later one at 12.55pm? Thanks
I would ask for the later flight.
Hello! i will be traveling from México to San Francisco and then i wiil only have one hour to connect my flight to Los Angeles. Same airline but different plane. Do I have to pass through inmigration again? will i have enough time? thanks
I´m traveling with united airlines in both. thanks!
That is not enough time to go through US Immigration, Customs, and security.
Hi I am arriving at SFO from London Hrw on Virgin Atlantic at 5:50pm and have to get a Southwest flight from SFO to LAX departing at 7:25pm. I am a US resident and will be flying into SFO upperclass on Virgin Atlantic. Will this be enough time to get my luggage and go through security in time to catch the Southwest flight?
Sorry its a United flight departing at 7:30pm not Southwest!
So arrive Virgin Atlantic into SFO at 5:50pm and depart United at 7:30pm.
With checked bags that will be pretty difficult as you will have to transfer your bags yourself to United. It's not impossible if everything goes perfectly though.
Will be landing SFO @640am from AUH Etihad FLT. Do we have enough time to catch FLT to PDX Virigin air at 930am FLT
That should be plenty of time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Abu Dhabi.
Thanks for the help! Yes the pre clearance at AUH makes trip to US bearable. But wasn't sure If we have enough time to catch the connection FLT.
Hi there - I am arriving from Auckland via UA and then having to switch to Delta, I arrive at 630AM and depart on Delta at 8AM, given that I will need to recheck my bag and go thru security again, in your experience is this enough time?
I should have mentioned too - if it matters, I am medallion and premium access - so if they have the premium lines, i should be able to use those
It will be very difficult, but not impossible. You'll have to hope the flight from Auckland is on-time, hurry to immigration, hope the lines are short, and hurry to Terminal 1 to re-check your bag before the cutoff.
Thanks - maybe I will try to fit everything into a carry on .. lol, guess it's been a while since i have come international back thru SFO, too bad I can't just do a transfer like most other airports...
Not sure if it matters - but it will be a Saturday morning that I arrive - not a weekday.
That will likely help a little bit.
Hi, I will be travelling from Tokyo (NRT) through SFO to YYZ (Toronto, Canada). My plane lands at 10:10am and leaves for Toronto at 11:45. Will I go through customs and will I have to recheck my bags? Will there be enough time?
Almost forgot, NRT-SFO is United, SFO-YYZ is Air Canada. They are Star Alliance partners.
Yes, you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. You barely have enough time if everything goes perfectly.
We are flying Toronto to San Francisco on Air Canada, landing at the international terminal, then connecting to a United flight to Seattle. We have 85 minutes between flights. Are we able to get off the first flight and walk to the gate for the second flight? We are travelling on one ticket but will have checked luggage. Will we need to claim our luggage and recheck it and get UA boarding passes?
You don't have to do anything with your bags in SFO You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.
