You have to take the AirTrain to the Rental Car Station. You can see it on this map: http://www.flysfo.com/to-from/rental-cars

  • Connecting flight in SFO, AC to UA

We have a connecting flight in SFO on March 30th. Air Canada to United Airlines, with only 1 hour layover. Will our baggage be passed through to UA and do we have to go through security again at SFO, we will have already done this in YYZ.

Your baggage will be transferred. AC uses some gates in SFO that are directly connected to the UA gates and some gates that require going through security. Either way an hour should be enough time.

Arriving Terminal 1, being picked up by friends International Terminal, Alaska Airlines, upper level. How do I get there walking?

Upon arrival, exit the secure area of terminal 1, then walk to the International Terminal, then go to the upper level.

  • Is 2 hours 15 minutes enough?

Hi, I'm landing SFO airport at 6.30pm from Taiwan through Eva Air and then having a connecting flight to OR with Virgin America at 8.45pm (Booked separately). Am I able to catch up the connecting flight? Thanks.

That would be probably enough time. But probably doesn't leave enough time for any delays or issues with immigration.

I have 3hrs between landing on my flight from London and leaving for New Zealand. Will I have to collect all my bags and re check in and will I have time to use Freshen up for a shower? Is freshen up easily accessible or would there be security problems? Thanks

Yes, you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the transfer desk, You could probably use the restroom after you claim your bags and before you go through Customs, but I'm not 100% sure if there is a restroom available there.

  • PDX-SFO-MCO 34 minute connecting time

Hello, I booked my flight months ago and was assured 34 minutes would be enough time, but now I'm getting worried. Family of 4 flying from PDX to MCO. Layover in SFO is 34 minutes. Called and will be arriving and departing from terminal 3. Will we make it?! I also found the early AM flight from pdx to sfo (UA 392) is 100% on time so that certainly helps. Will they hold the connecting flight a few minutes if needed?

Yes, if your first flight is on-time that should be enough time. They usually don't hold flights. If you miss your connection you will probably be rebooked to Orlando through Houston.

is there a microtel or similar motel IN the airport? I will be flying United, arriving 11 pm, have a 12 hr layover, then continuing my flight to S Korea

There are no hotels inside the airport.

  • Connecting flight international to domestic HELP!

I'll be flying in on an international flight and ill need to make another domestic flight on UA to LAX. I am supposed to meet someone at baggage claim (the one non passengers can go to) and give them a dog. How am I supposed to go about doing this? Once I get off the flight i'll need to go through passport check, then what? Help please.

After passport check you'll claim your bags, then go through US customs. Since you're bringing a dog make sure you have all the import requirements for the dog complete. Then you'll exit customs and you can meet the person there. After that you can re-check any non-dog bags you have and go up to go through security and to your departure gate.

Arriving Hawaiian Air at 10:15pm at International Terminal...how do I make 11:10pm for Virgin Ai Terminal 2/

Take the AirTrain and run and check in for your Virgin America flight online before you leave Hawaii (preferably on your smartphone) as you will probably get to T2 after the check-in cutoff.

As a slow walker, is it possible to arrange to have an electric cart take me from gate to gate?

Not sure. However, you could contact the Airport at (650) 821 8211 or via e-mail at http://www.flysfo.com/flysfocontactus/main

If you are disabled contact your airline for wheelchair assistance.

  • Best Place to Meet - SFO - United

My daughter is arriving at the B Concourse (United Express) and I am arriving about 30 minutes later, Terminal 3, Concourse F. What is the best place for us to meet? Thanks!

Your daughter arrives in Terminal 1 (B gates), where she should proceed to the Red-line of the AirTrain (an automated people mover) to Terminal 3 (your arrivals terminal). Have her meet you in the Arrivals area, next to the Information counter.

Does Skywest have curbside baggage service? Do they give you time to unload? We will have alot of luggage and 2 kids. Will I have to leave my family and return our rental car by myself?

Skywest operates as United Express at SFO. (Open skywest.com) Uniitd Airlines are listed in Terminals 3 & International Terminal. Contact United Express as to whether they have curbside service. Otherwise return rental car and board the Airtrain with family & bags to your connecting terminal.
