I'm flying into Seattle from Dubai with Emirates and from Seattle to Las Vegas with Alaska Airlines. Transit time will be for 1h55 min. Could i check if that would be enough time and if Emirates will check my baggage all the way to Las Vegas? Thanks so much for the help!
If both flights are on the same reservation that is just enough time. If both flights are on the same reservation your bags will be tagged to Las Vegas but you will have to claim them in seattle to go through US Customs, then immediately re-check them afterwards.
I am flying to Seattle from Spokane on Alaska, arriving at 7a.m. My connecting flight is on American Airlines departing at 8:30 a.m. I have a checked bag. Will I have to claim my baggage and go through TSA again for my second flight? And will I have enough time for the connection?
Are your tickets on the same reservation or two separate reservations?
Two separate reservations
You can show your AA reservation to the Alaska agent in Spokane and ask that they check your bags through, but they are not obligated to. If they do not you will have to claim and re-check your bags in the main terminal building and then go through security, making the connection very difficult.
We are booked on a Delta Airlines flight from Anchorage scheduled to arrive at SeaTac at 5:30. We are scheduled to leave on an American Airlines flight at 7:30. Do we have to go through security again if we don't have checked baggage? If we can't print our tickets for American ahead of time can we get them at the departure gate in SeaTac?
If you don't have checked baggage you can go directly to your AA departure gate. If you don't already have your boarding passes either the gate can print them or you can get them on your phones.
I have made single ticket booking from Duabi to Seattle (Emirates) and Seattle to San Diego (Alakska airlines)
Will the bags be automatically transferred to the other airline in Seattle? Or do we need to manually move these and hand voer in Alaska airlines?
Can someone please help on this info?
Your bags will be tagged to San Diego. In Seattle you will arrive in the S Satellite, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and take the underground train to your departure gate in the C, D, or N concourse
I am travelling from Dubai into Seattle then re-connecting into Alaska flight for Vancouver Canada. Can someone tell me customs process and also how to get to Alaska terminal
You will arrive in the S Satellite, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US customs, re-check your bags at the recheck desk then go through security and take the underground train to your departure gate in the C, D, or N concourse. You will go through Canadian immigration and customs when you get to Vancouver.
My checked bag was taken off the turnstile. When I went to the Alaska airlines customer service desk I was told by the manager Stephanie thatI could not file a claim, that I needed to allow them 30 days to find my bag. They would not tell me what their policies were and they treated me like a criminal. The port authority police told me the same thing. My bag was taken before it went around the turnstile. I was told by the agent that it was probably an honest mistake. I travel quite often for my work and I will avoid Alaska Airlines from now on. Your customer service is horrific and your people are not properly trained. I was promised a call back today by Stefanie the manager, and I seriously doubt that I will get one. I just looked at some of the travel blogs online and I am seriously concerned about Alaska airlines ability to be honest and professional in this matter.
This is not Alaska Airlines' website. Nobody from Alaska Airlines will read this.
Does anyone know whether SFO has the same option as IAH, where international travelers in transit get a green T tag and the airline transfers the baggage to the destination? Does SFO subscribes to this service?
No, IAH is the only United hub that has this. The only other two airports in the US that have it are DFW and MIA.
