I have a flight from PDX to SEA landing at 3.15pm, and a connecting flight to DXB at 5.40pm. I'm checking in the bags in PDX all the way to DXB, but need to collect boarding passes for my SEA-DXB flight at the Emirates departure gates. What is the quickest way to get from Alaska Horizon Concourse C to the Emirates departure gate (Gate S) in SeaTac? I'm hoping I'll have enough time to collect boarding passes and get through security.

Walk to the A or B concourse and then take the underground train to S. There should be signs showing the fastest way to S when you arrive.

  • SEA to CDG 40 min layover?

We fly from GEG (Spokane) to SEA and have 39 minutes to get from a SkyWest (booked through Delta) flight to the Delta flight to Paris. Are we going to arrive at the south satellite and catch our departure to paris there, too? Any chance our luggage will make the connection?

Yes, if the first flight is on-time you should be OK. Delta and Delta Connection use gates in A and S. They are connected inside security by an underground train.

I'm flying back to LAX from HKG through Seattle. I fly Delta to seattle and then fly on Alaska Airlines through to LAX. Will 1hr45min be enough time to make the connecting flight? The flight is booked through one website.

Yes, that should be enough time. Your bags should be tagged through to LAX, so once you clear customs you can just re-check your bags at the transfer desk, go through security, and take the underground trains to your departure gate.

Hi there, I'm flying Alaska Airlines from YVR-SEA then on to Orlando (also on Alaska). Is one hour between the SEA and MCO flights enough time to make the connection? I don't have any gate information to know how far apart they are. Will my bags be checked right through or do I have to get them in between flights? Thanks in advance for your help.

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Vancouver. All you have to do in Seattle is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. Alaska uses gates in the C, D, and N concourses. They are all connected inside security. N is connected to C and D by an underground train.

Hi, Ill stopover in SEA the 28th of May at 11.09 from Amsterdam. Then I have a flight to Las Vegas at 1pm. I will have to get my luggage, check it in again and go throu security. It was booked on 1 ticket with KLM. Am I going to make it?

Yes, that should be enough time. You can re-check your baggage at the re-check desk right after customs, then go through security and straight to your departure gate.

HI there, I am flying from Vancouver, BC to Seattle to Amsterdam via Delta Airlines. These are all paid together as one ticket. How will the connection be through Seattle? Will I have to get my luggage and/or clear customs? Thanks!

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Vancouver. All you have to do in Seattle is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. All gates in Seattle are connected inside security.

I am traveling compass dba delta from San Diego to Seattle with only 65 minutes layover time to delta Hong Kong. Do I have enough time for connecting flight? Do I have to claim baggage or go through custom in Seattle?

You do not go through US Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. All gates at SEA are connected inside security. You have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

Hi, I am travelling from London with a stopover in Seattle to Fairbanks. I will be travelling on BA to Seattle and then onto Alaska Airlines. It was booked on 1 ticket. Is this enough time? Thank you

Yes, that should be plenty of time.

Zap, thank you for the feedback - I appreciate your quick response.

I've to get a connecting flight to Portland, is 1 hour 25 minutes enough time?

Yes, in Seattle you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US customs. if you purchased your tickets on one reservation you can then re-check your bags at the transfer desk, go through security, and go to your departure gate. You should barely have enough time. if you purchased two separate tickets you will not have enough time.

  • 90 Mins Layover (Vancouver - Fort McMurray, AB)

I want to know if 90 minutes for a layover is enough time since I am a first time visitor in Canada. I still need to go through immigration and I have to claim my baggage then check-in again to the domestic flight going to Alberta.

That would be barely enough time if the tickets are purchased on one reservation.

My Alaskan flight has been rescheduled and will now land in Seattle at 6:44pm, will I make my connection to Delta flight to London at 7:15pm?

If your tickets were purchased together, that is barely enough time if the first flight is on-time. you will likely have to take one or more underground trains between concourses.

Thanks for the info, looks like I will have to try the later 21:59 flight.

  • 30 Minutes Connection

Hi, I am flying from SFO --> Seattle --> Japan (Haneda). The layover is only 30 minutes. Will this be enough time? Can I check in my bag to pick up at Japan?

    Both flights are on Delta

That is barely enough time. All gates in Seattle are connected inside security but your connection leaves no time to spare in case of a delay.

I arrive at Seattle airport from Portland with Delta or Alaska airlines (I still haven't booked) and I have 4 hours left to my flight to Frankfurt (Lufthansa). I have to check in my luggage again. At wich terminal do I arrive and where do I leave? How are they connected? Is it easier changing terminals with Alaska or Delta airlines? Thanks :)

Seattle only has one terminal. The connection procedure will be equal if you are buying two separate tickets. All Baggage Claims and Ticket counters are in the same building.

vancouver BC to seattle to amsterdam I am flying in from vancouver to seattle to amsterdam through Delta, tickets purchased together. How will connecting through Seattle be? Do I have to get my baggage or clear customs? Thanks

Seattle only has one terminal. You will arrive in the S Satellite, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, then put your bags on a conveyor belt to the main terminal then take a train there yourself. Then you will have to take your bag to the Delta or Alaska check-in desk.
