Nice thought.

1. Make sure you go through U.S. Customs clearance at Vancouver Airport. 2. At SEA, you will arrive at Satellite North (N gates) and depart from Satellite South (S gates) 3. As Air Canada & Lufthansa are both members of the Star alliance, your bags will be automatically transferred to your Lufthansa flight. 4. To connect between the N gates and the S gates, take the train from South or North Satellite to the Main Terminal, then cross over and take the train on the opposite side, which is the shuttle that runs at post-security between the North & South stations.

The South Satellite is the only one with immigration/ customs clearance facilities. If Emirates will transfer your bags to Alaska connecting flight (not all airlines do - check!) you would simply take the shuttle train to your connecting Alaska Airlines departure at North Satellite (or to either Concourses C or D, used now by SkyWest operating as Alaska Airlines). Check your ticket and overhead screens for your connecting gate. Note that Concourses & Satellites do not have a baggage check-in facility - meaning you would have to go to the Main terminal.

At SEA Airport, at Concourse A, opposite gate 4, two levels down, is the train to B, S & D gates, and a connector at D gtes leads to C gates (C1-20).

Find out which terminal your party arrives at and meet up in the Arrivals Hall near the information counter.

Today's search for Anchorage flights via Alaska Air brought up gates C, D & N - C & D are Concourses, N is the North Satellite. (search: http://www.portseattle.org/Sea-Tac/Flights-Airlines/Pages/default.aspx).

SEA Airport's terminal complex is quite extensive; without knowing the airline or Concourse /gate you arrive & depart from, I cannot give you detailed transfer instructions. However, an hour between flights should suffice. It is best for you to open www.ifly.com/sea, then click on "Terminal Map" under QUICK LINKS, and scroll down to the detailed text to find your airline, concourse or satellite and how to connect between them.

From Concourse A you need to get to the Main Terminal's ticketing level: The ticket counters 1 to 6 correspond to the skybridge numbers leading to the parking garage.

At SEA, the Link Light Rail to the City departs from the new SeaTac/Airport Station, which is connected by a pedestrian covered walkway to Skybridge 6, located on the 4th floor of the Parking Garage, which connects to the main passenger terminal's ticketing level. Trains run every 7.5 minutes during rush hours and every 15 minutes thereafter, MonSat 5am-1am & Sun 6am-midnight.

1. I cannot tell you where the Patriot Express lands - it probably operates for one of the larger airlines. Your ticket should indicate location. 2. I doubt that they will forward your baggage t your AA flight connection - do contact them about that. If not transferring, you would need to get the bags and check them in with AA before proceeding to your AA flight (at Concourse A). I strongly suggest you open www.ifly/sea and click on "Terminal Map" under QUICK LINKS, giving you details of terminal layout and how to connect.

At SEA, on arrival at North Satellite, take the STS shuttle train's North Train Loop between the main terminal and the C and N gates.

As Delta uses the South Satellite, with gates S1 - S13, for all of its flights, you merely transfer from gate to gate.

On arrival at SEA, opposite Gate 4 - two levels down - is the train to B, S & D gates (S gates being South Satellite). You have plenty of time.
