  • Bangalore to Dubai-Seattle-Denver via Emirates
    Dec 7, 2016
Hi, my family along with 2 children is travelling to Denver via Dubai-Seatlle by Emirates, She has to take Alaska Airline in Seatlle. She has 2 hrs stop over time, Will that be sufficient to clear all things? Does she has to check baggage claim at Seattle and again check in for domestic or can she directly check baggage at Denver? Appreciate if you could you help me out

If both flights are on the same reservation it will be just enough time. In Seattle she will have to go through US Immigration, claim her bags, go through US Customs, re-check her bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to her departure gate.

Thanks for the information, Oh I am bit concerned that connecting between international terminal to Domestic terminal in Seatlle is just 2 hrs, and in this 2 hrs, clear Immigration, check baggage and then carrying those baggage to domestic will be pain when she has many luggages. What is the distance between international terminal to domestic terminal in Seatlly connecitng to Alaska airlines?

She doesn't have to carry her bags to the domestic terminal. Seattle only has one terminal. She can drop her bags right after clearing customs at the re-check desk that will be right there.

Does that mean Alaska airlines will take care of baggage at Seattle? Or she has to claim baggage there, clear customs and again she has to checkin baggage with Alaska airlines? Because both the fllights (emirates and Alaska is one reservation till Denver)

Yes, that should be enough time if everything goes smoothly.

Seattle only has one Terminal. What airline are you flying into Seattle? Are both flights on the same reservation?

  • Connecting in Seattle from Vancouver on route to Lonon
    Dec 3, 2016
I am flying Delta from YVR (Vanocuver to London. Delta flight 3569 lands in terminal A. I catch Delta flight 36 for London in terminal S. Do I need to collect my baggage for the flight to London or can Delta send it straight through. Would appreciate any other details on making the connection too.

You do not need to do anything with your bags in Seattle. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Vancouver. All you have to do in Seattle is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

We are flying from Victoria to SEA on Alaskan Airlines, arriving S terminal. We have to go through customs. We connect to an Alaskan Airlines flight to SFO 1 hour 10 minutes later, which seems to be departing from Terminal 1. Is that enough time? Thank you!

Seattle does not have a Terminal 1. You will depart from Concourse C, D, or N. This is a very difficult connection, but not impossible, especially if you don't have checked bags.

Flying back from Frankfurt to Seattle with no checked luggage on Condor. Need to go through immigration. Will i have enough time if i give 2 hours until my Ak airlines flight departs for spokane?

That should be enough time as long as you don't check bags and check in for your Alaska flight before leaving Germany.

    Nov 27, 2016

Yes, all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

  • Connection time in SEA- travelling from Victoria to Dubai
    Nov 27, 2016
I will be arriving in Seatle from Victoria, Canada, and only have a 1 hr 30 min connection in Seattle before boarding an Emirates flight to Dubai (All in 1 reservation). Will I need to collect my checked luggage and/or do security all again? There are no US customs in Victoria so I will need to go through customs upon arrival to SEA, and am concerned that this won't be enough time. If I could get some info as to which terminal is for Alaska Airlines (for flights b/w Canada and the US) and which terminal is for Emirates that would be very helpful as well. Thanks for the help, Cheers

Yes, in Seattle you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. Everything will be in the S Satellite. You have enough time if your flight from Victoria is on-time.

  • International flight to domesticin 2.5 hrs
    Nov 25, 2016
Hello my mom is coming to seattle in emirates flight (dubai) and board to SLC flight (alaska airlines- probably gate N). Does she need to collect baggage. if yes, where she supposed to recheck-in? recheck-in available in main terminal? Is 2.5 hrs sufficient? she is first-time flyer, does she have to take train? Thanks in advance for the help

Yes, she will have to go through US Immigration, claim her bags, go through US Customs, then re-check her bags at the re-check desk immediately after (If they are tagged to SLC, which they should if everything is on the same reservation), then go through security and take the trains to her departure concourse. She has enough time.

Thanks a lot for the response
