We will be travelling on route YEG-SEA-DXB-DAC. US Immigration check and luggage tagging will be completed at YEG (YEG has US immigration counters). Do we need to collect luggage again at SEA during transit? Thank you.
If everything is on the same reservation then you don't have to claim your bags in Seattle.
Good point! Yes on the same reservation. Thank you for your response.
I am travelling from Victoria to Kona with a connection in Seattle. It is only 1:15min between flights. Do I have to get my luggage in Seattle and go through customs. Will this be enough time? Thanks!
Yes, in Seattle you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk and go through security. You have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
We have been notified that our times have changed on our booked reservations. We are flying from Boise on Skywest DBA Delta (Small commuter plane) and making connections with Delta to HNL. They have given us 35 minutes now. Concerned that we may have departure delays due to de-icing that time of year. Is it possible to make this connection? What is the legal connection time?
Yes, that is a possible connection, Boise is an uncongested airport so any deicing delays should be minor. All you have to do in Seattle is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Im landing from Atlanta into SEA and connect to Calgary both Delta flights. layover is 50 minutes, whats the process from gate to gate ? AS 749 ATL to SEA, arrives 09.40am then AS 784 departs 10.30am SEA to YYC. Will I make this connection under normal circumstances ?
That sounds like both are Alaska flights, not Delta flights, but anyway, you should have enough time. You just have to walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. There is no US Customs when leaving the US.
Great, do need to pass through X ray security again ? between gates
No, you do not. All gates in Seattle are connected inside security.
Hi, my family along with 2 children is travelling to Denver via Dubai-Seatlle by Emirates, She has to take Alaska Airline in Seatlle. She has 2 hrs stop over time, Will that be sufficient to clear all things? Does she has to check baggage claim at Seattle and again check in for domestic or can she directly check baggage at Denver? Appreciate if you could you help me out
If both flights are on the same reservation it will be just enough time. In Seattle she will have to go through US Immigration, claim her bags, go through US Customs, re-check her bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to her departure gate.
Thanks for the information, Oh I am bit concerned that connecting between international terminal to Domestic terminal in Seatlle is just 2 hrs, and in this 2 hrs, clear Immigration, check baggage and then carrying those baggage to domestic will be pain when she has many luggages. What is the distance between international terminal to domestic terminal in Seatlly connecitng to Alaska airlines?
She doesn't have to carry her bags to the domestic terminal. Seattle only has one terminal. She can drop her bags right after clearing customs at the re-check desk that will be right there.
Does that mean Alaska airlines will take care of baggage at Seattle? Or she has to claim baggage there, clear customs and again she has to checkin baggage with Alaska airlines? Because both the fllights (emirates and Alaska is one reservation till Denver)
She has to claim the bags in order to take them through customs. You have to do this any time you enter the US. The counter to re-check them is literally right after she clears customs and is specifically for the purpose of re-checking bags for connecting passengers that had to claim bags to take them through customs.
