How much time do we need to allow if we are arriving SEA on a British Airways flight from London and changing to an Alaska Airlines flight to Portland? Allowing for passport control and rechecking luggage!

If it's all on one reservation 90 minutes to 2 hours is acceptable, but a little more wouldn't hurt.

Hi how will I get to Concourse C from Sattelite S? If I go through Concourse B from Sattelite S, then B to C can I just walk or I need to take another train from B to C? And how about S to N Sattelite? How will I get there? Thank you

How much time do I need between delta flights going to fairbanks Alaska? Is 45 minutes enough?

If the first flight is domestic then that is enough time.

  • Vancouver to DXB Via SEA
    Mar 2, 2017
Hi, I'll be travelling with my family from Vancouver to DXB Via SEA with Alaska and then Emirate airlines. do i need any visa for this purpse . there is a gap of 2 hrs in both flights.

    What is your citizenship?

Thanks for your feedback. it's Indian.

Yes, you will need a US Transit Visa.

  • Is CONNECTION TIME of 2 HRS & 25 Minutes ENOUGH?
    Feb 23, 2017
Hi, Grateful if you could answer this for me. I am arriving SEA at 2.43 pm from YYC (Calgary, Canada) by Alaskan Airlines (AS). And my departing international flight is EK leaving at 5.10 pm. I'll be doing US immigration in Calgary but I'll have two check-in suitcases and my hand-carry. Hopefully my two suitcases will be tagged straight through to my Asian destination (hopefully because my flights are on different reservations!!). 1) How do I deal with my 2 checked-in suitcases at SEA; will I need to simply collect them at SEA and put them onto the luggage belt meant for CONNECTING flights and walk to my international flight gate or will I need to take them through Security if they happen not to be tagged all the way (I'm hoping they will….)? 2) If my luggage doesn't need to go through Security at SEA; would I need to clear Security with my handcarry? Or do I walk straight onto my international connecting flight? 3) Whatever it is, will 2.25 hours be very short for me to do all of the above? The reason I ask is because the only other flight out of Calgary arrives SEA at 7.10 am and I'll have a 10 hour layover which I'm trying to avoid. Thank you!!

If your bags are tagged through to your final destination you don't have to do anything with them in Seattle. if they are not checked through, you have to go to the main terminal building, claim them, re-check them with Emirates, and go through security. If your bags are checked through you do not have to go through security in Seattle, you can go straight to your Emirates gate (although you may have to get your boarding passes from the gate desk). You should have enough time.

  • from victoria to seattle

flight leaves victoria at 7:20, flight to DFW leave 9:45. will i have time? will one bag be put on at gate so it doesn't have to be checked since small. free from victoria to dfw.

Yes, that is plenty of time.

actually, you didn't provide enough information. When does the flight arrive in Seattle? Are both flights on Alaska?

american to seattle, alaska to victoria. resv made through american all the way. arrive seattle 11:00. leave for victoria 1:45. return trip is alaska air arrive seattle 8:20 leave for dallas american 9:50. will i make it both ways and should i check a roller that carry it? also how far a walk from aa to alaska terminals. thanks

Then yes, that is enough time both ways. Seattle only has one Terminal. You could check a bag or not, it's up to you.

    thanks for the info

  • MFR-YVR 1 hour
    Feb 21, 2017
i'll be arriving from MFR at 2:30pm on Alaskan and departing to YVR at 3:30pm, same airline. I'll have a checked bag. Will I have enough time?

Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

  • 40minute connection
    Feb 21, 2017
I arrive on a United flight from Houston, then 40minutes later have an Air Canada Express/Jazz Aviation flight to Vancouver. The entire booking was made through United's website. Is 40minutes enough time to make the connection? Will I have to clear security again or just US immigration?

Yes, that is enough time. There is no US Immigration when leaving the US. All you have to do in Seattle is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time if the flight from Houston is on-time.

  • Connecting to Emirates
    Feb 19, 2017
Arriving by Alaska airlines at 4:30 pm. Have a connection to Dubai in 1 hour by Emirates. Is it possible to make the connection? Thanks

If the Alaska flight is domestic and both flights are on the same reservation that is enough time. All you'll have to do in Seattle in that case is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

  • LEd to LAX
    Feb 17, 2017
We fly from Saint Petersburg LED to Los Angeles via Amsterdam and Seattle. The first flight is operated by KLM, the other ones by Delta. We have 1 hour and 15 minutes in SEA. Is it enough for US Immigration and Customs? Where can we get our luggage? In SEA or in Los Angeles? All flights are in one ticket. Thank you

That will be really difficult. In Seattle you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk and go through security and to your departure gate.

  • Connection HNL-SEA-FRA
    Feb 15, 2017
I am arriving in SEA from HNL with Hawaiin Airlines at 9:55 p.m. with connection flight to FRA with Condor at 11:05 p.m. . Do i have to some customs check (immigration/emmigration)? Can they check in my baggage from HNL to FRA or do i have to pick it up? Is it possible to catch that flight to FRA?

There is no US Customs when you leave the US. As far as I know Hawaiian and Condor do not have an Interline agreement. You will have to claim your bags at the main terminal, re-check them with Condor, and go through security. I do not think you have enough time if you are going to check bags.

  • alaskan to delta
    Feb 12, 2017
I will be arriving on Alaskan fron wenatchee saturday morning at 6:13 and change to Delta (domestic) leaving at 8.10 . I will only have carry-on. Is there enough time? Do I need to change terminals and go through sequrity again?

Seattle only has one terminal. If you check in online fore your Delta flight before leaving Wenatchee, you can just walk to your departure gate. You have plenty of time.

It's not impossible but it will be very difficult if it's two separate reservations.

    Separate reservations

  • International to Domestic
    Feb 8, 2017
Arriving from YYJ(Canada) to SEA and transferring to SNA. I have 2 hr layover. As immigration is not pre-cleared in YYJ I'll be going through that in SEA. Will there be enough time for immigration/security and getting to the next flight in the domestic area from the international arrivals? (will be arriving in SEA around 6am PST)

Yes, that should be enough time if everything goes smoothly, especially considering the very early morning arrival.

  • Transfer from Internation to Domestic

I will be arriving in SeaTac from NRT on ANA airlines, then transfer to Alaska Air to PDX. My agents tells me she can not check my luggage through to PDX. I will need to get it in SEA, then checkin for the flight to PDX. I have a 3 hour layover each way. Is this enough time ? What is the best way to do this ?

am arriving in SEA on ANA, then transit via Alaska Air to PDX. My Agent tells me she cant ticket on 1 ticket and check baggage all the way through. I have 3 hrs this enough time ? How challenging will this be ? on the return flight, similar 3 hr transit time appreciate your guidance

3 hours should be enough time both ways, it's a little tight on the way to Portland.
