I'm flying from Incheon to Edmonton with a 9 hour layover in SEA via Delta. I'm holding a Philippine passport without a valid US visa.. Do i need a valid visa to stay in airport?

Yes, you need a US Visa. You will have to go through US Immigration and Customs in Seattle. If you do not get a US Transit Visa you will not be allowed to board the flight to Seattle.

  • Denver to Maui via Seattle 1 hour layover will I make it
    Mar 18, 2016
I am traveling from Denver to Maui Hawaii via Seattle on Delta. I have a 1 hour layover in seattle will I make my connection?

Yes that should be enough time.

It will be tight. You'll definitely have to hurry. You can usually count on it taking 15-20mun to deplane & boarding your next flight begins 40-45 before take off with doors closing 10min prior. That's not including the time it takes to walk from one gate to another. It makes it a bit easier if you're using the same airline for both flights, but even then an airline can operate out of 2 different terminals. I tell my passengers it's best to leave at least 1.5 hrs between flights.

The airline can't operate out of 2 different terminals as Seattle only has one Terminal. Delta flights are in the A, B, and S concourses.

  • Connection time
    Mar 16, 2016
Hi,I'm flying from London gatwick-Seattle-Fairbanks and I have 2hours 15min connection time In Seattle-is this enough time?what do I need to do when I arrive eg customs etc, which gate do I need to get to for the Alaska airline flight?its all on one ticket.also on the way back Fairbanks-Seattle-London do I need to recheck bags at Seattle?thanks

No Airlines fly from London-Gatwick to Seattle. What airline are you flying on your first flight?

Icelandair-gatwick to Iceland then Seattle then Alaska

I will have 2hours 15mins in Seattle to change

On your way to Fairbanks, you will arrive in S, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and take the underground trains to your departure gate in the C, D, or N concourse. You should have enough time. On your way back in Seattle you will just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate in S using the underground trains.

  • Transfer time
    Mar 15, 2016
will 45 min be enough time to make a morning connection arriving from San Jose and departing for Iceland? Separate reservations. unsure if just carry on or one checked bag. Thanks

With checked bags that would be impossible. Without checked bags that's barely possible if you are able to check in for your Icelandair flight online before you leave San Jose. I highly suggest an earlier flight from San Jose.

  • 1 hour and 20 minutes
    Mar 15, 2016
I'm flying in from Iceland and have a short layover of only and hour and 20 minutes in Seattle to Portland. Do I have enough time?

Are both tickets on the same reservation? Do you have checked bags? If two separate reservations with checked bags, no that is not enough time. Even on the same reservation or without checked bags that is very very difficult.

I'm flying from London to Portland via Seattle. BA then Alaskan. If I land at 17.05, will I be able to take Alaskan flight at 18.20? Or too tight due to security, passport and baggage reclaim etc?

No, 75 minutes is well below the minimum International to domestic connection time in Seattle.

  • YEG to SEA to LAX - will I have enough time?!?
    Mar 11, 2016
We're flying in from Edmonton (YEG) to SEA and have an hour before our flight to LAX, both with DELTA. Is that enough time to make our connection?

Yes, you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Edmonton. All you have to do in Seattle is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

  • Alaska Air to Emirates
    Mar 10, 2016
Do you know where the Emirates flights leave for Dubai - Councourse? I was thinking about spending my layover in the Club and there are 2 Club options. One is Concourse A and the other is South Satellite. I want the closest one to the Emirates flight.

    Emirates uses the South Satellite.

  • Transit
    Mar 10, 2016
Hi, I am flying from Frankfurt to Victoria BC and have to transit at Seattle airport with connecting flight from Alaska Airline. I have about 2 hrs 40 min transit time. Which gate will I be arriving in Seattle and how do I get to my connectiong flight? Do I have to go through all the procedure with collecting the checked in baggage and thru the custom and re-check in and to immigration? I have read about the 2 separate reservation tickets. What is that ? I t will be my 1st time flying. So I am pretty nervous and confuse.

2 separate reservations is if you booked the two tickets separately, like on two different sites or not at the same time. You will arrive in the S Satellite, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk (this is assuming your bags are tagged through to YYJ), and then go through security and to your departure gate, which will be in concourse C, D, or N. S is connected to the other concourses by underground trains. You should have enough time.

I have a connecting flight from Canada to Richmond Va. 90 minute layover with clearing customs in Seattle will I have enough time?

Where in Canada are you coming from?

  • Vancouver to Seattle to Boston
    Mar 9, 2016
I'll be flying in from Vancouver on Delta at 9:04PM and hoping to fly out to Boston on Jet Blue at 11:26PM. It's post-cruise, so I'll have checked luggage. Will I have enough time to get luggage, go thru customs, check in luggage, and get to new gate? Thanks.

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Vancouver. However, you will have to go to the main terminal, claim your bags, re-check them with JetBlue, and go through security. You should have enough time.

  • Delta Connection (Sky West) flights
    Mar 7, 2016
Do the Delta Connection regional jets operated by Sky West all arrive/depart from the same concourse? I'm connecting in SEA and have a 39 minute layover.

Delta connection uses both the A and B concourses. They rarely use S.

  • SEA Connection
    Mar 6, 2016
Is 51 min enough to connect from PDX to RDU via SEA? It looks like PDX-SEA at that time of the day usually lands in N, and SEA-RDU takes off in either N or C. Is 51 min enough to go from N to C?

Yes, that is enough time to get from N to C if necessary.

  • Is 40 minutes enough for layover with Alaska Airlines?
    Mar 6, 2016
Hey, I'll be flying in from LAX to SEA. There's only a 40 minute layover until the next flight from SEA to BOI. Is that enough time for the checked baggage to be transferred and for me to make it to the plane in time, or should I look at other options?

It is enough time if the first flight is on-time.

  • Dubai to LAX via SEA with 2 hour stop
    Mar 3, 2016
DBX to SEA is on Emirates SEA to LAX is on Alaska Air (codeshare with Emirates) Both flights are on same ticket. 1. Will I need to clear Immigration at SEA and travel domestic to LAX? 2. Will I need to collect bags at SEA, recheck the bags at Alaska Air counter & then go through security check to catch my SEA-LAX flight? 3. Is 2 hrs enough time for the transfer? My DBX-SEA flight arrives at 7AM (0700 hrs) Thanks!

Yes, in Seattle you will arrive in the S Satellite, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk right after customs, then go through security and take the underground trains to your departure gate in the C, D, or N concourse. You should have enough time.
