I'm looking at a Delta flight from Victoria to San Francisco that connects in Seattle ... the layover is only 1 hour 10 minutes ... is that enough time to clear immigration and connect with carry-on luggage?

With Carry-ons only that's possible but doesn't leave much time to spare.

i am arriving from dubai by ethiad airwaysINTERNATIONAL TERMINAL and departure DOMESTIC TERMINAL to porland by Alaska airways. with 2 kids and 3 baggage how to transfer terminals with bagage .HOW MUCH TIME IT REQUIRES AND MAP DETAILS

Seattle doesn't have a separate International or Domestic Terminal. If both tickets are on the same reservation You will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and take the underground train to your departure gate. Also, Emirates flies from Dubai to Seattle, not Etihad. You'll want at least 2 hours between flights.

Thanks a lot for the crisp n on point reply ... It's of a gr8 help to me :)

are all delta airline departure and arrivals in the same terminal?

Seattle only has one terminal. Is your arrival an international flight or a domestic flight? Delta gates are on 3 concourses, A, B, and S.

we are arriving from Edmonton departing to san Francisco

Then you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Edmonton and all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, likely both on A or B.

We are Canadian family, going to Dubai from Edmonton Canada with 3 hour layover in Seattle. What will be our immigration and checked baggage process while going to Dubai and then coming back to Edmonton with same layover.

On your way to Dubai, you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Edmonton. If both flights are on the same reservation all you have to do in Seattle then is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. On the return to Edmonton, in Seattle you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. Again, this assumes that everything is on the same reservation.

Thanks ZAP for quick response. Yes everything is on same reservation.

Hello, what time should I depart PDX to go to SEA for a flight to Beijing on Nov 3? My Beijing flight departs 13:30. PDX to SEA takes 50 mins. I have only carry on. Hainan Airlines is Satellite South. These are separate tickets so I must check in SeaTac, I think. Advice? Thank you!

With carry-ons only I would still want at least 2 hours in Seattle as you will likely have to get your boarding pass at the gate in Seattle. So arrive before 11:30, maybe closer to 11:00.

I have a 1h18min layover at SEA arriving from London Heathrow and headed to Spokane. The flight are with Virgin Atlantic (operated by Delta) and on the same reservation. Is this enough time? Do I have to collect the checked luggage and go through passport control and customs? If I miss the flight, should the airline board me on the next available one?

Yes, you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate. You have barely enough time if everything goes perfectly. Yes, if you miss your flight to Spokane they will put you on their next available one.

I have 2 hours for me to transfer from domestic flight (Alaska) to international flight (Delta). Will it be enough? The 2 tickets are of the same reservation.

Yes, that is plenty of time. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate in Seattle.

Incoming Domestic on Southwest/ Departing Domestic Horizon. Is 40 minutes enough time to make it from concourse B to Concourse C -- no checked bag?

With no checked bags, yes, that is possible if the first flight is on-time. Check in for your Alaska/Horizon flight online before you leave on your Southwest flight.

I'm looking at a flight from ATL to SEA to YYJ (Victoria). The connection in SEA is only 45min, will that be enough time? Not sure what the US to Canada process is.

The flight arrives at 9:30pm if that helps

Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do in Seattle is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. There is no US Customs when leaving the US.

  • Delta connections between domestic/international

Our Delta domestic flight lands 40 minutes prior to our Delta international flight departs. Current gates are A3 to S2. Can we do this? Are there Delta shuttles between Concourse A and Satellite S?

An underground train runs between A, B, and S. You have enough time if the first flight is on-time.

I only have 40 minutes once I land in Seattle from DC to connect to my Portland flight - both via Alaska. Will that be enough time? How do I know what concourse these arrive/leave from?

Yes, that is enough time. Alaska uses C, D, and N.

  • Arriving From LHR on BA departing to PDX on AS with GE

We'll be arriving from LHR on BA in F (than you Avios) and departing on AS to PDX. Family of 4 all with Global Entry. Is two hours sufficient? Lots of flights SEA to PDX so if we're delayed on the inbound not the end of the world if we miss the flight to Porltand.

If both flights are on the same reservation that should be plenty of time. If it's two separate reservations and you have checked bags it will be a little difficult despite having Global Entry.

I'm hoping to get it on one reservation. Am I correct that the difference is that if it is on one reservation then once we clear customs there is a place to drop bags that are checked all the way to their final destination but if not then we need to take the bags to the check in counter and recheck them?

    Correct.

I travel from Chennai via Emirates to Portland through Dubai and Seattle. Do I get assistance for Dubai (to spot the gate or terminal) and baggage collection and re check in Seattle as I am a first time traveller with kids.

Hi all, I have a connection from Austin (AUS) to Kelowna (YLW) on Alaskan/Horizon all booked on one ticket and was wondering if there were any issues for that connection? We are in a group of 4 Australian citizens. Thanks in advance

That is plenty of time. All you have to do in Seattle is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

We are flying in from LAX on Southwest, arriving at 11:10am, with checked bags. We have a flight on Lufthansa at 2pm. Will that be enough time? Am I correct at assuming we will have to get off the plane, go get our bags at the carousel and do normal check-in for Lufthansa? Any information or tips is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

That is just enough time if everything goes smoothly. Yes, you have the procedure correct.

I'm not familiar with the layout of SEA, so forgive me for such a simple question. IS 40 minutes layover time enough for me coming in from Redmond Or headed to Vegas all on Alaska?
