I will be taking a flight from honolulu to seattle and reach seattle at 05:59 and i need to catch another flight at 07:10 from seattle to New York City. Is this enough time? Thank you!

If your tickets were purchased together or if you aren't checking any bags that should be enough time. If you purchased separate tickets and have checked bags, you won't have enough time to transfer the bags.

Thank you ZAP. Tickets are purchased together and same airline (delta) but i will have bags to check in. Is it possible that i can request for the bags to reach New York City directly from Honolulu when i check in at Honolulu? Much appreciated reply! Thank you!

Yes, since you purchased your tickets together your bags will be checked through to NYC. You don't have to do anything with them in Seattle. All you have to do in Seattle is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You should have plenty of time.

  • Amsterdam - Seattle - Sacrmento
    Mar 10, 2015
I am considering a flight from Amsterdam - Seattle with a 1.21 min stopover for my connecting flight to Sacramento. All flights with KLM/Delta. Will this be enough time?

That's 9 minutes below the minimum recommended connection time for an International to Domestic connection at SEA.

:( I was hoping that 1 hour 21 mins would be enough. Thanks for letting me know.

  • Domestic connection at seatac

My 16 year old son needs to make the last connecting flight from SEA to BLI after flying in from LAX. Lands from LAX at 1020, flight from BLI leaves at 11:15pm. Is this enough time to make the connecting flight to BLI?

Yes, that should be plenty of time if the flight is on-time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

  • IAH - SEA - ICN - Different Airlines - Enough time to connect?
    Mar 8, 2015
Flying UA on purchased ticket to SEA; arrival at 1213. Connecting with Award Ticket on OZ (Asiana - a star alliance partner); departing 1400. Different ticket numbers. Will I have to claim baggage and check-in and if so, is there enough time?

You can show your Asiana ticket to the UA agent in Houston to see if they will check your bag through to ICN but they are not obligated to. Otherwise, yes, you will have to go back to the main terminal to get your baggage and re-check it. Which you would barely have enough time to do.

  • Enough time to transfer from domestic to International gate ?
    Mar 7, 2015
I am a non-US citizen flying from San Francisco (SFO) to Seattle with a landing time at 1:40 pm and connecting to Amsterdam (AMS) with the departing time at 2:42 pm. The gates are unknown to me. I am flying Delta on both flights. I have purchased the tickets together. What must I do in SEA. Do I have to re-check my bags ? Do I have enough time to transfer from domestic to International gate ? And how? Thanks.

All you have to do in Seattle on your way to Amsterdam is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. They should both be in the S Satellite, but Delta does use a few gates not in the S Satellite. Regardless, all gates at SEA are connected inside security.

Thank You for the quick reply. I hope that my family and I will make it within 1 hour. Once again, thank you.

  • South Terminal to North Terminal
    Mar 1, 2015
About how long does it take to get from the So. Terminal to the No. Terminal via underground tram?

S and N aren't technically separate terminals, they're concourses. it takes about 15 minutes to get between them, assuming the first flight is domestic or pre-cleared.

Is an hour enough time to connect from a Delta flight to Alaska Air?

If the Delta flight is domestic and both tickets were purchased together, it is.

  • Layover time
    Mar 1, 2015
I am a non-US citizen flying from Narita to Seattle with a landing time at 9.31 am and connecting to JFK with the departing time at 11.15 am. I am flying Delta on both flights. Do I have enough time to clear immigration and customs checks? Thanks.

    That should be enough time.

  • Internation-domestic 90 minute connection?
    Mar 1, 2015
Hi, I've booked a connecting ticket together through a travel agent from Taipei (eva air) to seattle and then have 90 minutes to clear customs, (pick up bags or are they transferred through to the next flight?) and take a domestic flight to Alaska on airliner. This is all around 730 pm. Sound impossible?

If you purchased your tickets together and your bags are tagged through to your final destination, then you can re-check your bags at the transfer desk after clearing customs in the S Satellite, then go through security and take the underground trains to your departure gate. you should have enough time.

Thx zap! The tickets were purchased together, but because its international going to domestic and different airlines, would they tag our bags through to the final destination?

They tag your bags to your final destination but you will have to claim your bags to go through US Customs then re-check at the transfer desk afterwards.

  • SFO-SEA then SEA-NRT (Narita)-Singapore (1 hr 7 min layover)
    Feb 27, 2015
Both SFO-SEA (arriving 11:35 AM) and SEA-NRT (departing 12:42 PM) flights are with Delta. Do we have enough time to make it to the international flight? I suppose we can check through (SEA-NRT-SG) our luggage at SFO, right? Many thanks!

Yes, that should be plenty of time. All you have to do in Seattle is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You should not have to touch your baggage again until you get to Singapore.

  • flying from Heathrow with connection to Las Vegae
    Feb 27, 2015
I am flying from Heathrow to Seattle and have a connecting flight to Las Vegas, I will have to reclaim my luggage and go through customs, I have 2hours 15 min to do the above and get to the connecting flight (with a different carrier) will \I have enough time? The flight arrives at Seattle 11 March 16.26. Also will I need to queue again with my luggage to check in for my Las Vegas flight?

Did you purchase your tickets together or separately? What airlines are you flying?

They were purchased separately through a travel agent who has already told me that I will have to collect my luggage and go through customs. I fly to Seattle with Delta Airlines and then onto Las Vegas with Delta Airlines

You should have enough time. You should either be able to get your bags tagged to LAS in London (bring your SEA-LAS confirmation with you) or get your bags retagged to LAS at the Delta transfer desk after you exit customs so that you don't have to go to the main terminal to re-check your bag. You should have enough time.

Many thanks for the useful information,I will try and get the bags tagged in London. Thanks again

  • Arriving JetBlue flight 597 connecting to Alaska #2482 to Bellingham
    Mar 14, 2015
I arrive by JetBlue at 12:07p and need to connect with Alaska #2482 @ 1:55p. Is that enough time to get to baggage claim and then to Alaska desk?

Yes, that should be enough time.

Friday JetBlue #597 was delayed departing Logan and arrived at Seattle at 1:17p. I'm taking same flight Monday and my Alaska flight leaves at 1:55 from C2D, to BLI will I make it if my luggage is manually tagged thru?

  • Delta-Alaska Air connection
    Feb 24, 2015
We have a 50 minute connection from Delta (MSP-SEA) to Alaska Air (SEA-SIT)in June. I received a notice that it may not be enough time. Is it?

That should be enough time if both tickets were purchased together. You will just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate, using the underground train.

Thanks! We actually purchased the tickets through Orbitz - who put us on a later flight, but we are still showing a reservation on both the earlier and later flight on Guess I should call Delta to be sure.

  • Concerned about making my connection
    Feb 23, 2015
My father's flight is HKG-->SEA, with 45 mins to connect for SEA--> YVR final destination. It's purchased under one ticket transaction through Delta. I want to know: 1) Will 45 mins be enough to go through US customer, re-claim baggage and go through security then departure gate. 2) Are there forms my father will have to fill out of just a brief encounter with the immigration officer at the custom gates? He doesn't speak English very well so I'm just concerned about the connection time and want to ask if there's anything I can prepare for him to make the transfer smoother. Thanks!

No, 45 minutes is not enough. He needs at least 90 minutes.

  • Timing between connections?
    Feb 22, 2015
I'm flying into Seattle from Vancouver, B.C. on an ticket purchased by aeorplan and need to connect to another separate purchased flight for Denver within 45 minutes. Am I forced to go to the counter to check in to the second flight or can I just go to the gate? I'm concerned about timing between flights.

If you do not have checked baggage and you check-in online for your flight to Denver, you can go straight to your departure gate. However, there's very little time to spare in case there are any delays.
