I fly in from Victoria(YYJ) to Seattle on alaska airlines and arrive at 8:51 am and next flight on american airlines departs at 10:05 to Oakland. Is this enough time?

American Airlines does not fly from Seattle to Oakland, so both flights will actually be on Alaska. That isn't really enough time for your transfer, especially if you have checked bags as you will have to clear US Immigration and Customs in Seattle, then re-check bags, go through security, and to your departure gate in a different concourse. Without checked bags it's maybe possible.

I am flying from Victoria BC arriving SeaTac 4:45 via Alaska Airlines, then have to get a United flight to Houston departing 5:49 … worried about connections. Will I be able to make it?

That is not enough time as you have to clear US Customs and Immigration in Seattle, re-check your bag with United, go through security, and to your departure gate in another concourse. It's maybe possible if you don't check a bag.

  • Arrival from Canada (Alaskan) connection on to Emirates (Intl. flight)

I arrive at SeaTac at 2:20pm from Victoria, BC and my next flight is Emirates departing at 5:45pm which gives me about 3hrs in transit. Do I need to claim baggage after arrival in SeaTac and go through Passport control and recheck the baggage to Emirates? Do both airlines operate on the same Terminal (south) since both are International flights? Which are my arrival and departure terminals? Will I have to switch terminals? Your help in clarifying this is much appreciated.

Yes, you will have to claim your baggage, to go through US Customs, then take it to the main Terminal and check it with Emirates. You will have to go to the main Terminal to re-check your bags with Emirates and get your Emirates boarding pass. The S Satellite is not a terminal, it's just a gate area with immigration facilities.

Thanks. So the emirates check-in is in the Main terminal. How long is the commute there? If my baggage is tagged all the way to my Final destination, do i still need to claim and re check it? thanks

The train to the main terminal after you clear US Immigration is maybe 5 minutes. Yes, you will still need to claim your baggage to go through US Customs, but you should be able to re-check it immediately afterwards if it is tagged through to your final destination, meaning if you already have your Emirates boarding pass you won't have to go to the main terminal. However, if you don't have your Emirates boarding pass, you will have to go to the main terminal to get it.

  • Domestic transfer at Seattle Airport: YVR-SEA-LAS

I am going to travel from YVR to LAS via SEA. I will be arriving at Seattle at 6:48am(Horizon) and departing for Las Vegas at 7:50am(Alaska Airlines). I have only one hour in Seattle. Is it enough time to transfer? Do I have to take my luggage and re-register?

Go through US Customs clearance at YVR - you will then be a domestic arrival at SEA & simply transfer to your connecting gate, as bags will automatically be transferred. Note that Alaska uses Central Terminal Concourses C, D and Satellite North (N gates). I suggest you open www.ifly.com/sea, then click on 'Terminal Map' under 'QUICK LINKS', and scroll down to the detailed text - paying attention to 'Connecting between Terminal & gates'.

I will be arriving on Alaska at 6:35 a.m. and need to connect to Hawaiian Airlines flight leaving at 10:00 a.m. How do I get to the concourse served by Hawaiian Airlines?

Hawaiian uses the S Satellite. Simply follow the signs to the S Satellite. There are a series of trains that connect the Alaska gates in C, D, and N to S. You should have plenty of time.

  • 45min transit time from SFO to SEA, and SEA to ICN -- All Delta

Hello, I have 45 min transit time from SFO to SEA and SEA to ICN, all delta. It seems a tight schedule but is it possible to take the international flight within 45 min? Thanks,

Yes, it's possible. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate and get on the plane. However, it doesn't leave much time for delays.

Your Delta flight arrives at Terminal 2 (T2), unless you departed from either LAX, SFO or SEA airports, where you would land at T4. Alitalia serves Terminal 1. The 'Airline Terminals Train' on the upper level (follow signs) runs counter-clockwise on average every 10 minutes. No time to waste!

Hello ! I am going to take the flight from HKG to SFO via Seattle on Delta flight in both. The duration time is only 1hr 45 mins.Is it enough for me to connect the flight? Is it also in S satellite? And one point is i bought the tickets seperately. Thanks!

Delta uses the South Satellite (gates S1-16) on arrival you need to go through the immigration process (passport check, pick up bags, go through customs clearance & re-check-in bags where indicated; then go through TSA security screening and proceed to your connecting gate. Your transfer time is sufficient.

Show the Delta agent in HKG both of your reservations and he or she can get your bags tagged through to SFO. You will still have to claim them to go through customs, but it will allow you to immediately re-check them.

Assuming your first flight is on-time that should be plenty of time. You can get between any two gates at ATL via the plane train in less than 25 minutes.

Great! Thank you so much!!!! :)

It's possible but doesn't leave much time to spare in case of any delays.

I am looking at a Delta flight that arrives in SEA from FAI at 5:27AM. Can I get to a SW flight that departs SEA at 6:30AM? I am thinking that luggage would be the problem unless I can get it transferred from Delta to SW without having to pick it up myself?

Hi, I'm flying in from Seoul (ICN) to SEA on DL198, arriving at SEA @ 12:04. My connecting flight to NY (JFK) is at 13:40, giving me only 1:36 to get to my next flight. I know it's not a lot of time, but at this point I don't have a choice in terms of changing the flight. My travel agency said arrival at SEA and departure from SEA will be at the same S terminal. Is this true? Also, could you give me some advice as to how to make it to my connecting flight? One thought I had was maybe staying overnight at an airport hotel and taking another flight out the next day. Thanks!

I have a flight with Delta Airlines from Heathrow to San Diego but will have a connecting flight from seattle tacoma airport. Do ineed to claim my baggage and re-check in again ? Which terminal in sea-tac will i be arriving ?

You will have to go through security to get to T3. If Alitalia gives you your Delta boarding pass in Florence, then many people report that they are allowed to pass through security in T3 rather than having to go to T5. However, make sure if you are successful, that you check with the Delta agent so they know that you're there and don't mark you as a no-show.

Case 1- Arrive at SEA from ANC via Alaska Airlines with 2 hours and 22 mins to connect to Asiana Airlines to ICN. Case 2- Arrive at SEA from ICN via Asiana Airlines 2 hour and 5 mins to connect to Alaska Airlines to ANC. In both cases, Is this enough time to claim checked bags and re-check them again? Case 3- Same with case 1 except both tickets were not purchased together.

Those are questions. Thank you for your answer in advance

Case 1 - you can make with tickets purchased together or not. Case 2 - you can only make with tickets purchased together, it's too difficult if you have to take your bags to the main terminal to re-check

Hi, will arrive at SEA at 1120 hrs by ANA in Terminal S with just handcarry, no check in lugggage. need to connect to southwest airline at concurse B for 1410 hrs flight. Pls give me the direction. Thanks in advance.

You have plenty of time! You arrive at Satellite South and depart from Central Terminal's Concourse B. On arrival you need to go through passport check, hand in your customs declaration form and proceed to the South Train Loop station serving the Central terminal's B & S Gates.

However, if you want to take the transfer train without going to the main terminal first, you will have to check-in online and print out your boarding pass for your Southwest flight before you leave Japan.

Thanks to Samay and Zap. Currently in Narita now. I have done a check in on Southwest mobile apps but have not printed the boarding pass. Can I go straight to concourse b? First time doing southwest

No, you need to print a boarding pass. Southwest does not have mobile boarding passes. You will have to go to the main terminal check-in to get a paper boarding pass.
