Similar to the other questions here, I'll be flying with Delta and have a connecting flight in SEA. I'll be coming from DTW and headed to HND, with a 30 minute layover. I will only have carry-on luggage. Is this enough time? Would you know which terminals I'd be arriving and departing from?

Both gates will be in the S satellite and all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, but it obviously leaves no time to spare in case of a delay on your DTW-SEA flight.

I'm a US citizen looking at a flight that gets me in to SeaTac from London at 3:23 PM, with a connecting flight on Delta to Salt Lake at 4:35. That gives me an hour and twelve minutes to get through customs and to my gate. I feel like this is just cutting it too close, but I have no familiarity with SeaTac, is it?

You will land at terminal S, collect your luggage and thru customs. 30-60 min. The new self service kiosks take about half that. You then have to go through screening again to get the next flight. I would suggest a later flight as you will cutting it very close

Hi, I'm flying to Seattle from Phoenix, arriving in Seattle at 10:25 am with a connecting flight leaving at 11:20 am to Seoul. Tickets are booked with Delta all the way through. Will 55 minutes be enough time to make my connecting flight? DL1794, DL199

Yes, that should be enough time. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. Both should be in the S Satellite.

Hi, i'm trying to book a flight from HND to SLC, and i found one with a connecting flight from SEA. Will a 1hr45min connection be enough to make it for my flight from SEA to SLC?

Yes, that should be enough time.

  • arrival from MSP at 7p leaving HND at 7:37p

Any experience with Delta scheduled to arrive from MSP at 7pm and trying to catch Delta to HND at 7:37p. Looks like DL 2253 has been delayed by min 10-15 mins every day this week (even on days when flights left on time). Any feedback would be much appreciated.

All you will have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, both in the S concourse. so all you really need is 10 minutes. However, yeah, if the flight is late you'll be stuck in Seattle overnight.

I will be arriving at 11:35 at Seattle airport from China with a connecting flight on Alaska airline departing at 1400 to DEN. Will this give me enough time to make this connection?

Yes, this should be plenty of time if tickets were purchased together and enough time, if tickets were purchased separately.

  • Confused by AS baggage policy
    Mar 30, 2015

AS phone agent said it is possible to thru check my baggage from YVR to SFO but the web policy does not agree. I have separate bookings travelling AS 2033 YVR - SEA and then AS 308 SEA - SFO Thu 7 May. Connection time 75mins. Do you know if bags are transhipped and if not is 75mins enough time to collect bags and recheck.

Since both flights are on AS the agent in Vancouver should be able to handle joining the two bookings and checking your bags through to SFO. Even if they are not, 75 mins is probably sufficient time to claim and re-check your bags.

    Thanks ZAP.

  • Enough time to make my connection

I have a UK passport and will be arriving on a BA flight from LHR on 11 Sept at 17.05. I have an Alaskan flight for Portland departing at 19.00. Will I have enough time to make this flight - and what is the best way to transfer between the arrival and departure terminal. Will I have to collect my luggage and check in again with Alaskan? Many thanks for your help.

You will arrive in the S satellite, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, and go through US Customs. Then if your bags are tagged through to Portland you can re-check your bags at the transfer desk, then go through security and take the underground trains to your departure gate in the C, D, or N concourse.

Many thanks for that reply. Do you think I will have enough time to make the connections bearing in mind it is international transferring to domestic?

Yes, if you purchased your tickets together that is enough time.

My domestic flight (Southwest airline) arrive in Tacoma airport on 10:30am. My next international flight (Korean airline) departing on 2:15pm. I need to claim the baggage and check the baggage for my international flight. Do I have enough time????

Yes, that should be enough time. Everything is in the same Terminal building so after you claim your bags you'll just have to find your way to the Korean check-in desk.

Hi - I am flying SMF to SEA, then on to Amsterdam. Time in Seattle has just been shortened to 43 minutes. It makes me a little nervous. Any advice/comment? Thanks so much.

That should be enough time if your first flight is on-time. both flights should be in the S Satellite.

  • 30 minute connection- is it possible?

I will be arriving from SFO with a 30 minute connection at SEA to HND. I talked to a DeltaAssist rep on Twitter and she said it would be enough time. I see that traditionally the flight arrives to gate S4 and the next flight departs from S8. Community- what do you think? Is this doable? Would it be unwise to check a bag? Thank you!

Yes, that would be enough time if the first flight is on-time.

Hello! i'm citizen and flying UA on purchased ticket to SEA arrival at 10:34 am Connecting with Award Ticket on DELTA (international - to ICN) departing 12.12pm. Not purchased together.different ticket numbers. Will I have to claim baggage and check-in and if so, is there enough time? thanks!

    sorry its 12:12am

sorry again! its 12:21 pm .I was right. (sorry for confusing )

Yes, you will have to claim your baggage. You will BARELY have enough time to make this connection with checked baggage as the checked bag cutoff will be 11:21 AM. You will need to arrive, go to the main terminal, claim your bags, and bring them to the Delta counter by this time or you will have missed your flight.

Hi. My flight is entirely with Alaska Airlines. I am leaving Las Vegas and arriving in Seattle (domestic flight) at 12:25pm. I am then leaving 60 minutes later, at 1:25pm to Vancouver BC (international flight.) Will this layover be enough time to make the connection? Also, how long of a walk is it from the 2 gates. cheers

That should be plenty of time. It shouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes to get between gates.
