hi, i am flying from Japan to Seattle and then from Seattle to San Jose. The window time is 1 hr and 20 min. I need to get my bags, go through custom and then recheck my bag at the check in right? If that is the case, do I have enough time? Thanks.
That is shorter than the recommended minimum International to domestic connection time. I think that will be very difficult, especially with checked bags.
Hi, Am traveling from Dubai to Seattle with emirate and have separate air ticket from Seattle - Edmonton with Delta Airlines. Can anyone advice me about the Delta airline baggage checkin & Boarding pass collection counter facility availablity upon clearing (near to) immigration custom at Seattle. or Do I have to exit the arrival floor and go through departure floor and do checkin /SEA - Edmonton at Delta Airline counter.
You will have to go to the main terminal with your bags to re-check your bags with Delta at their regular check in desk, then go through security and to your departure gate.
I am flying Delta from LAX to Seattle then connecting to Vancouver. I only have max. 35 mins. layover. If arrival in Sea Tac is at Concourse A, say Gate 13 and departure to YVR is at Gate S10, will I have time to connect? Can you tell me how to go from Concourse A to S? Thanks!
A is connected to S by an underground train inside security. You have enough time if the flight from LAX is on-time.
Thank you so much! The outbound from LAX is an early flight so I hope it takes off in time.
I am flying from Vancouver to London via Delta connecting from Seattle also via Delta. My anxiety is that I only have 1 hour and 5 mins layover between SEA and London. I have a Global Entry program so plan on using it when arriving at SEA from YVR. Do I have to claim luggage and go through security while in SEA?
You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Vancouver. All you have to do in Seattle is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Hoping someone has an answer for me. We are flying from Anchorage to Seattle landing in the N terminal at 4:48am and our connection is a flight leaving terminal A for Toronto Canada at 6:30am. These two flights are not on the same reservation but we also are just planning on carry-on luggage. Are we ok or did we not leave enough time?
N and A are concourses, not Terminals. With carry ons only you should have enough time. Try to check-in online for your Air Canada flight.
Thanks for the quick response. So I am assuming that we don't have to leave secure area and re-enter, go through security again then. Also, if you know, does the train run regularly and is it pretty quick? Having never been to SEA I have no concept of the size of the airport.
Smaller airport - with your connection times you should have plenty of time.
We're UK citizens (who have all the necessary ESTA/Canadian visas). We're flying from Vancouver to Hawaii with a 75 minute connection in Seattle (all flights on a single Delta booking). Will we have to collect and recheck luggage in Seattle and should there be sufficient time to make our connection?
You will pre-clear US Immigration and customs in Vancouver. All you have to do in Seattle is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
one is from calgary to seoul but i will stop over in seattle(connecting flight) on this route should i pick up my luggage to go us custom in seattle?(should means i exit and reenter?)
the other one is from seoul to calgary also stop over in seattle and also same question, should i pick up my luggage to go us custom in seattle? and also exit and reenter?
You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Calgary on the way to Seoul. That way all you have to do in Seattle is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate if both flights are on the same reservation. On the way back you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags, and go through security in Seattle.
Thank you ZAP, so when its seoul-seattle-calgary flight I should exit and pick up my luggage and re check my luggage and go through custom again?
You will go through all of those processes in a facility in the basement of the S Satellite. You don't technically have to "exit".
Just curious, why is the returning different when both flights are international and connecting to same airport? And what do you mean by "same reservation" exactly? Like booked all the flights together or same airline for convenient gate entries and exits? I also have a similar itinerary as question posted above. Thanks so much, ZAP.
