Does Horizon operate out of the North Satellite?

Some of their flights use the North satellite, but some also use concourse C of the main terminal.

We have a flight arriving from PDX at 9:15pm and a connection to FLL at 10:05pm. Any suggestion as for the time to get to the gates and how. The PDX plane flight is 2056 and the FLL is 28.

Was not able to get listing for aariving flight 2056; however flight 28 to FLL (Alaska Airline) leaves from the North Satellite , gate N7. If your arriving flight is also by Alaska, you will simply walk to your connecting gate there.

Thanks for the info, the 2056 flight is through Horizon Air operated by Alaska

Flight 2056 could arrive at concourse C or in the North Satellite. If you need to go between C and the North Satellite there is an underground train.

  • Delta to JetBlue in 1:25?

I am flying from San Diego to Seattle on Delta, from 4:15pm to 6:50pm. I then have to get off the plane, get to the main terminal, check my baggage with JetBlue, go through security and my flight is at 8:15pm. Will I have enough time to do everything? Flight 7661 from San Diego to Seattle It is flight 907 on JetBlue

Delta flight 7661is actually Alaska Airlines flight 493. I think you will have enough time, but barely and you'll have to hurry.

  • RCF TO NORTH SATELLITE

Is there any handicap assistance available from the RCF to the North Satellite? I am travelling with my Mother who needs assistance. I have arranged for help with United after the check in, but, she needs help. She can not walk far.

    What's an RCF?

the rental car facility(building) is shown as RFC on the map.

She will only have to get herself from the Rental Car Facility to the check-in counter, which is not in the North Satellite, but in the main terminal. You could perhaps call the rental car company and ask if they have any assistance that they can call out to them to help her get to the check-in counter.

I'm arriving 6/22 on Delta 1653, departing Alaska Air 87. Can you tell me the gate or terminal locations and how to move from one to the other? and how long will it take- I have 1 hour 20 min layover.

Delta arrives at gate S3 of the South Satellite; Alaska Air departs from gate N9 of the North Satellite. To connect between the N gates and the S gates, take the train from South or North Satellite to the Main Terminal, then cross over and take the train on the opposite side, which is the shuttle that runs at post-security between the North & South stations. You have enough time.

  • 1 hour enough time to connect to Int'l flight?
    Jun 19, 2013

I arrive at SEA 15:20 on Alaska AS2170 (as Horizon) and need to connect to my next flight SEA to KEF on Icelandair FI680 at 16:30. I have spoken to two Icelandair reps who assure me this is enough time. Is it really enough time? I will not have checked bags. How far do I have to go? What are the usual gates for these flights? Thank you.

Horizon uses both Satellite South (S gates)and Concourse C (C gates), while Icelandair uses Satellite South. Transfer between S Satellite & Concourse C: take first the train from the South Satellite to the Main Terminal, cross over to the shuttle to the North Transit Station, from there cross again to the train at the opposite side to take you to the end of Concourse C. You should be able to make the transfer in time.

  • Domestic flight to international with checked luggage

We will be flying into the N satellite terminal on AS. We want to retrieve our luggage at the Baggage Claim area. We do not want it transferred by the airline due to a past bad experience. We have separately purchased tickets for each flight. From the Baggage Claim area, how do we get to the S satellite terminal to check our luggage and take an international (BA) flight to London. We will have a 6 hr layover. Thanks for any assistance.

All the baggage claim and ticketing areas are connected. So you can easily just claim your baggage from your AS flight and walk to the BA check-in counter to check it. Note that due to your long layover the BA counter may not be open yet.

Wouldn't there be quite a distance to walk between the two terminals? If so, is it possible to take the airport transit train?

There is only one terminal where check-in and baggage claim is done. The S terminal is just gates.

Arrive Delta flt# 2246 5:42am, depart delta fly #7627 6:45 am (operated by Alaska air). Do they share the same concourse? Should I have time to connect?

They do not share the same concourse but all the gates at SEA are connected beyond security.

  • Connecting to international flight
    May 14, 2013

Flying with my kids from Oakland to SEA on AlsakaAir, then connecting to IcelandAir for international flight. Bought flights as seperatae reservations. We want to carry bags onto flight OAK to SEA, but check bags at IcelandAir for international flight. Do we have to go through security for connecting flight in SEA? Can we go directly to IcelandAir gate and check bags there? How much time should we allow for transfer through airport? Thank you for any information, Shelley

I doubt you will be able to check the bags at the gate (you might get lucky and they will let you). I would schedule at least 2 hours to make your connection. Preferably 3.

  • N gates to S gates

Does anyone know how long it takes to go from N gates to S gates?

At SEA, to connect between the N gates and the S gates, take the train (near gate N10, down one level) from North Satellite to the Main Terminal, then cross over and take the train on the opposite side to the North Satellite stations & take escalator up. My guess is 25-30 mins.

    Thanks for the info.

  • Connecting to international flight

I am flying from Anchorage to India and will change flights in Seattle and Seoul, South Korea. I would like to get information on the following: 1. Do I have to collect check in bags in Seattle and re-check in to the Korean Air? 2. I will go through security check in Anchorage. When I transfer to connecting flight in Seattle, do I have to again go through security check or will I directly go to the gate of Korean Air? I just want to get an idea of time required in transit. Any information is highly appreciated. Thanks Pawan

Was your ticket bought on one reservation? If so you probably won't have to claim your bags in Seattle. I believe all gates in Seattle are connected beyond security so you won't have to go through any security there either.

  • Hawaiian to Alaskan in 10 minutes?
    Apr 13, 2013
    1
Landing Hawaiian 11:05 pm. Can I catch Alaskan at 11:15 ?

At SEA, Hawaiian uses Concourse A (A gates), while Alaska uses Concourses D, C and Satellite North (N gates). 10 mins transfer seems to be not enough. I suggest you open www.ifly.com/sea; then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text.

  • Security Wait Times
    Apr 1, 2013
    2
The iFly information on security wait times would be a lot more useful if there was any information on when it was last updated? Are these figures for this week, or last June?

Well it does say 'based on historical averages', and as a frequent traveler I'd say they're pretty close. HOWEVER, they're only pretty close for certain days of the week. Try flying Monday before 9am and you'll run into the east-coast crowd starting their week. Saturday afternoon? Not so much of a problem. They need to show average BY DAY. And please, could you decifer the check in lines are called? Not everyone knows the name of the entrance by the food court with twice as many metal detectors as the other entrances!

*decipher what... (can't spell or type today)

  • 1.5 hr connection - cutting it close?

I'm scheduling a one-way Alaska cruise-tour at the end of May (start in Fairbanks on land and end in port of Vancouver). I am considering ticketing round trip to SEA and collecting my bags from American for check-in for Alaska flight to Fairbanks with 1.5 hrs in between. Is that time sufficient for baggage claim from AA and check-in with AS? Terminals may be changed by May such that all AS flights are from North Satelllite. Help!

That's probably enough time, but try pricing it as a multi-city itinerary on AA.com or an online travel agency and see if you get the same price. If you do that then your bag will be checked through to FAI and you won't have to worry about claiming it in SEA.

Thanks. That makes sense. I'll go thru AA.com.
