  • International Flight to Domestic Flight transfer in 1.5 hrs

I arrive in Terminal 2 (Eva Air) before I need to depart on a Virgin America (also in T2) flight 1.5 hours later. Is this a possible itinerary on a Sunday evening? I arrive from Taiwan at 6:10pm, and must depart for SFO by 7:40pm. Thanks in advance for the help!

Seattle does not have a "Terminal 2". Are both flights on the same reservation? Do you have checked bags?

Thank you for the quick response. I was mistaken on the terminals - Eva Air lands in South Satellite and Virgin America takes off from Concourse B. Both flights are not on the same reservation and I have no checked bags.

OK, so then check in for your Virgin America flight online before you leave Asia. When you get to Seattle you will arrive in S, go through US Immigration, Customs, and Security, then take the underground train to Concourse B and walk to your departure gate. It's possible but you have no time to spare.

  • Connection to Emirates

I'm coming to Seatle from Calgary, Canada. Only 1 hr 45 min lay-off in Seattle before catching to Emirates flight to Dubai. All in 1 reservation. Should I collect all my luggage (total 6!) and do the security all again. I have to do this in Calgary (origin) any way.

You won't have to claim your bags or go through security. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Calgary. All you have to do in Seattle on the way to Dubai is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

We arrive on Asiana (Sattelite S) & need to connect to Alaska Air to Fairbanks (not sure which gate - C or N) about 2.5 hours later. Will this be enough time to make the flight? We will have priority baggage tags on Asiana. My luggage will not be checked all the way to Fairbanks as the Alaska Airlines flight is on a separate standalone booking/reservation. Understand that at Sattelite S we will go through immigration, collect bags, then customs. This is where I have found conflicting information that I hope someone can help shed some light. Exactly where will I be doing the check-in for the AA flight? At Sattelite S itself (is there an AA counter)? Or because it is a separate ticket, I have to go to the main terminal building to collect my bags for the second time (Carousel 1)? Then do check-in from there? At this point, am I already outside the secure area? Also how do I get to the N side by underground train if I am already outside in the public area coz I read that the AA check-in counters in the main building are on the N side?

You will have to put your bags on another conveyor to take them to the main terminal and then take the train there yourself. You will then re-claim your bags, and then take them to the Alaska Airlines check-in desk, then go through security and to your departure gate. This is a difficult connection, but possible if everything goes smoothly. The AA check in counters are in the Main bulding on the side closer to "N" but they are not actually in N (just some Alaska gates are).

Flying from San Jose, CA to Seattle and going on to Amsterdam. I have 45 minutes between connecting flight. Will I make the flight?

If both flights are on the same reservation that is just enough time if the flight from San Jose is on-time.

  • How to get from S gates to A gates
    Nov 8, 2016
Hi there! I am flying in on Hawaiian which always arrives into S11 but need to make my way over to the A gates for a Delta connection. I know I have to take the rail but don't know what stops to get on or off at. Can someone please help me! Thank you!

There are only three stops, S, A, and B. Do you have checked bags?

    No, only carry-ons!

Then yeah, that's all you have to do. Check in for your Delta flight online before you leave Hawaii.

  • FRA - SEA - YYC

HI, I'm fying from Frankfurt to Calgary over Seattle, all flights on one ticket. 2.20h layover in SEA should be enough. Do I need to collect my luggage and go thru US customs and then recheck it again for the flight to YYC? Thx.

Yes, you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US customs. If your flight to Calgary is on the same reservation and your bags are tagged to YYC, then you can immediately re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate. You have enough time if everything goes smoothly.

  • Making a connecting flight
    Nov 7, 2016
Alaska flight arrives at concourse C and my connecting flight leaves 1 hr later from the North satellite gate. Must I take a train or can I walk and will I have enough time? Thanks

You have to take the train. You have enough time if the first flight is anywhere close to on-time.

  • San Jose to Seattle to London

Flying fron San Jose, Ca to Seattle on Alaska Air then from Seattle to Heatheow on British Air. All booked on one ticket. Alaska Air flight arrives Seattle at 5:55pm; British Air flight leaves at 7:10pm. Do I have to change terminals in Seattle? Is there enough time to catch the BA flight?

Yes, that is enough time. Seattle only has one terminal. You just have to take the underground trains from your arrival gate on C, D, or N to your departure gate on S.

  • Connection time from Vancouver Canada

Looking into a flight from Vancouver Canada to San Fransisco with a 45 minute connection in Seattle, is this enough tiem to connect? Will I need to clear immigration/customs in seattle?

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Vancouver. if both flights are on the same reservation you just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate in Seattle. You should have enough time.

  • 30 min connecting time

Hello, I am flying by Delta from MSP Minneapolis to SEA, but only have 30 minutes for transit then DELTA from SEA to Narita airport in Japan. I am wondering if the connecting time is too short? Thank you for your time and consideration

It's enough time if the flight from MSP is on-time. It obviously leaves no time to spare.

i shall be flying from atlanta to seattle ,taking a connecting flight to vancouver on Alaskan airlines.I have 80 minutes.wil i be able to make the connection????? Do i have to collect my checked baggae in SEA and recheck again ??????????

Are both tickets on the same reservation or two separate reservations? Are both flights on Alaska? If so then all you have to do in Seattle is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

I am flying into Seattle on Skywest and departing for Singapore on Delta. I have 39 minutes to make connection and will need a wheelchair. Ist hat enough time to connect and get luggage on?

Is your flight into Seattle an Alaska Airlines flight number or Delta flight number? It's likely barely enough time if everything goes perfectly.

I am flying by Alaska airlines to Seattle....the layover for the next connecting international flight (Emirates) is only 1 hr 15 min....Will this time be sufficient to board the next flight...Will there be security check again....Thanku...

If both flights are on the same reservation and the Alaska flight is domestic then all you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate, no additional security needed. You have enough time.

Thanku so much for a quick reply.....
