Shannon SNN Airport Overview
Shannon Airport SNN serves the County of Clare in the Republic of Ireland.
The Airport is located in the town of Shannon, 24 km north of Limerick and 22 km south of Ennis, on the west coast's ‘Mouth of Shannon’ inlet, and accessible via the N19 national route connecting to the N18/M18 Limerick-Ennis-Galway route.
With a long runway and an estimated 1.6 million passengers in 2012, Shannon Airport is a hub for Air Lingus and is served by a number of domestic, international, regular and low-fare airlines, offering direct flights to European and North American destinations, as well as by charters to popular vacation venues. For the summer season 2013:
(a) Aer Lingus, as of March 2013, offers four weekly flights to Boston BOS; while
(b) Delta, as of May 2013, is offering daily flights to New York JFK; and
(c) US Airways, as of May 2013, is offering daily flights to Philadelphia PHL.

A U.S. Customs & Border Protection facility offers preclearance facilities (checked-through luggagage - no need to pick up/drop off) for commercial and private aircraft. It is requested hat passengers clear all formalities an hour prior to scheduled departure.
An on-airport hotel is located at the southeast corner of the Long-Term P1 parking lot, to the left of the entrance circle.
The new passenger terminal at Shannon Airport is divided into:
Departures (left) with ticketing & check-in counters; a circulation area in the center leading to the first level and its 10 boarding gates (six of which are airbridges); and
Arrivals (right), with immigration hall, baggage carousels 1-5, information desk.
Amenities and services inside the terminal: Wi-Fi internet access throughout the terminal is presently free. Also, WHSmith in the arrivals area has a coin- or credit card-operated internet workstation. Aside from food & drink and retail concessions, the terminal offers:
The Information desk in the Arrivals concourse is open daily 6am-11:59pm (tel. +353 (0)61 712000), and the meeting point is located close to the Information desk.
The U.S. Customs & Border Protection (tel: +353 (6)61 472297) is in the Departures lounge (once you have gone through US inspection, you need to remain in the sterile gate lounge area until boarding the aircraft).
ICE Currency Exchange is available at check-in area, in the Customs Hall (arriving passengers); and in the Departures Lounge (deppating passengers).
An ATM machine is in the Arrivals concourse.
Left & LostLuggage (tel. +353 (0)87 32 85935) is off the Arrivals hall on the corridor link serving coach park 1;
a mail box (no parcels) is adjacent to the Londis shop at Arrivals;
a prayer room (with Sunday mass) is in the departure terminal;
Rental car desks are in the Arrivals hall.
The Executive Lounge (Rineanna Suite – tel. +353 (0)61 712497) next to Gate 7and open daily 6am-6pm, is available to members of Aer Lingus Gold Circle, Priority Pass & Airport Angel card holders, as well as to United’s first-class passengers, or at a fee of 25 EUR up to 3 hrs to all other passengers.

To get from Shannon Airport to your destination you can rent a car, take a taxi or a bus:
1. Taxis - In the arrivals hall is the Airport Cab desk in charge of taxis. To book a taxi in advance contact the desk directly at +35 406 147 1538.
2. Buses: (1) Citylink buses run between the Airport and Galway city (tel. +35 309 156 4163. (2) Kavanagh buses run between the Airport and Limerick and Dublin Airport (tel. +35 305 688 31106). (3) Bus Eireann connects to all of Ireland’s major cities (tel. +35 306 131 3333.
