Tallahassee International TLH Airport Overview

Tallahassee International Airport TLH is a small airport in the Florida Panhandle and accounts for a third of air passenger travel in the Northwest Florida Region - which includes Tallahassee and 32 counties in Florida, & parts of Georgia & Alabama. It borders on the large Apalachicola National Forest in Northwest Florida and supports commercial airlines, corporate aviation, commuter and charter services and a wide variety of other private aviation activities.

TLH Airport is seven miles southwest of the central business district of the city of Tallahassee, in Leon County, accessible by both Interstate Hwy. 10 and SR 90, via the Capital Circle Southwest entry/exit road. 

With two runways and an estimated 700k passengers a year, Tallahassee Airport is served by some major airlines offering nonstop service to major U.S. hubs with convenient connections.

It is strongly suggested that you arrive at the Airport no later than 90 mins prior to scheduled departure - particlularly in the early morning and late afternoon.

The passenger terminal at Tallahassee TLH Airport - with 14 airline gates - has undergone considerable renovation and offers a business center with workstations & computer modems; AirCade offers a variety of arcades, video games & pool table. The terminal has also a news & gift shop, a shoeshine stand, Smarte Cartes, food & drink  at pre- and post security, and a massage center. Rental car counters are in the baggage claim area.

Current and future Airport developments:  The $10.5M termial upgrade project started recently - involving reconstructon of the Lobby, new baggage claim system, new airline and rental car counters, new screening machines, new TSA screening room, LCD monitors & visual upgrades like terrazzo flooring.   While demolition of the baggage claim area will be completed by March 2016, all other work will start thereafter - all work to be completed by October 2016.
