Tallahassee Regional TLH Airport Overview

Tallahassee Regional Airport TLH is a small airport in the Florida Panhandle that supports commercial airlines, corporate aviation, commuter and charter services and a wide variety of other private aviation activities. The Airport accounts for a third of air passenger travel in the Northwest Florida Region, which includes Tallahassee and 32 counties in Florida, Georgia and Alabama.

The Airport is located seven miles southwest of the central business district of the city of Tallahassee, in Leon County, accessible by both  Interstate Hwy. 10 and SR 90, via the Capital Circle Southwest entry/exit road. It borders on the large Apalachicola National Forest in Northwest Florida.

With two runways and an estimated 634,4000 passengers in 2011, Tallahassee Regional Airport is served some major airlines offering nonstop service to major U.S. hubs with connections around the world.

The passenger terminal at Tallahassee Regional Airport with 14 airline gates has undergone considerable renovation and offers a business center with workstations & computer modems; AirCade offers a variety o arcad, video games & pool table. The terminal has also a news & gift shop, a shoeshine stand, Smarte Cartes, food & drink  at pre- and post security, and a massage center. Rental car counters are in the baggage claim area.

Parking options at Tallahassee Regional include an hourly and daily public parking lot located directly north of the main terminal building. Free parking is available for the first 10 minutes. Cash and major credit cards are accepted.  Parking rates are posted at gate entrance.  Curbside valet parking is available.
The 'E-Ticket Express' allows customers to quickly swipe their credit card for entry into the parking lot and then again upon exiting.

To get from Talahassee Regional Airport to your destination, you can rent a car or take the City Taxi  (850-562-4222) or Yellow Cab (850-575-1022);  Classic Limo (850-421-1933 or 1-800-57-6557), a hotel shuttle, or a variety of bus services: Al Dria 850-580-2707; Astro 850-514-1793.

Present & future Airport developments: While Phase 1 of the construction program involved the extension on runway 18-36 (completed),  runway 19-27 is closed until its completion of phase 2 reconstruction, starting in late 2012..
