Tenerife Norte TFN Airport Overview

Tenerife Norte (North) Airport TFN is the larger of the two Airports on Tenerife island (the other being Tenerife Sur). Together they account for approximately 12.8 million passengers per annum. TFN is an inter-island hub, connecting seven Canary islands. Mainly a domestic airport, the Airport also offers connections to Europe and America (currently Air Europa serves Miami Airport). 

The Airport is located in the town of San Cristobal de la Laguna, and 11 km from Santa Cruz which is situated on the eastern tip of the island of Tenerife, the largest island of the Canary chain off the coast of Morocco. The City of Santa Cruz is not only the capital of Tenerife Island, but also the capital of the Canaries, which is an autonomous community of Spain.

With an estimated 3.7 million passengers in 2012, Tenerife Norte Airport is served by a good number of international airlines and charters, offering direct and connecting flights to all points of the globe.

Tenerife Norte Airport has a  four-level passenger terminal, built in 2002, with 12 gates, offering shops, cafes & restaurants, banking & Information services, Lost & Found, First aid (tel. 922 635 857), and a VIP lounge on the Mezzanine.

Parking at Tenerife Norte is available on the three-level covered parking garage opposite the terminal building.

To get from Tenerife Norte Airport to your destination, you can rent a car located in the Arrivals area, or take a taxi or a bus:
Bus stop and taxi stands are in front of the terminal.  
Bus line 102 (tel. 922 531 300), Bus line 107 (tel. 922 531 300), and bus line 340 (tel. 922 531 300) stop at the Airport.
