Tenerife SurAirport TFS
serves the southern part of the island of Tenerife - the largest of the Canary Island chain (off the coast of Morocco) - and part of the autonomous community of Spain. Tenerife Island has two airports - Tenerife Sur & Tenerife Norte - together they account for approximately 12.8 million passengers per annum. Both airports are operated by Aena.
TFS is on the southern tip of the Island of Tenerife in the municipality of Granadilla de Abono. The airport is close to the coast and is approximately 60 km from Santa Cruz de Tenerife the island's capital, which is situated on the east of the Island. Major access is via motorway TF-1.
With 10.9M passengers in 2016, Tenerife Sur Airport is served by commercial airlines and charters, offering direct and connecting flights to all points of the globe. Fridays and during the winter season are the busiest times at the airport.
The passenger terminal at Tenerife Sur Airport
is divided on the ground level between Schengen & non-Schengen check-in areas and the Arrivals area with Passport control, baggage reclaim & Customs. The Departures area houses security checks, Passport control (for non-Schengen passengers) & access to boarding gates 1 to 34 (West to East), with gates 11-14 in the center.
The terminal offers Aena Information points on the ground level and on level 1 (tel. 902 404 704); shops, restaurants and cafes are on both levels. Other services include banking facilities, internet service, post office, conference room, meeting rooms, pharmacy, VIP Lounge Montana Roja*, lost baggage, Lost & Found, children's play area, and a chapel and six tour operators.
Rental car agencies have desks on the ground & first level of the terminal.
