Tokyo Narita Airport (NRT) Layover Ideas
Before you consider a "short" layover at either Narita or Tokyo, keep this in mind:
Narita Airport is located 60 kilometers from central Tokyo--a one-hour train ride. Therefore, allow at least three hours for the round trip for a short excursion into central Tokyo, and also check the schedule for your return trip in advance.
For an excursion to visit the Naritasan in Narita City, allow at least three hours.
