Tonga Fua-amotu TBU Airport Overview

Tonga Fua'amotu International Airport TBU is the only airport in Tonga served by international air carriers; to get to the outer islands of Tonga, passengers must transfer to a domestic flight via Chathams Pacific, Tonga's domestic airline.
The Airport is located on the main island of Tongatapu (the largest island of the Kingdom of Tonga), and 21 km from Nuku'Alofa, the capital of Tonga, comprising a string of islands in the Pacific.
A number of domestic and international airlines serve Fua'amotu Airport with direct flights to Auckland, Sydney, Los Angeles, Apia, Nadi and Suva with connecting flights to all points of the globe. Direct flights into Fua'amotu Airport are available from Air New Zealand, Air Pacific and Pacific Blue.

Fua-amotu Airport has two separate terminals--the Domestic and the International Terminal,
served by shuttle bus service available at a fee of T$5.
The International Terminal offers duty-free shops in both Arrivals and Departures; there are also some cafes, a currency exchange booth and gift shops. Its VIP lounge is available for a fee of T$50/pp (pre-booked).
The Domestic Terminal has only a cafe.

Parking options at Fua'amotu Airport: Short- and long-term parking is available.

To get from Tonga Fua-amotu Airport to your destination, you can take a taxi to Nuku'alofa for T$40 (taxis meet arriving flights). Taxis, as well as hotel minibuses and the terminal shuttle bus are located outside both terminals.
