I will be flying from calgary to Dublin Ireland with layover in Toronto. Is 1 hr and 35 min sufficient for the transfer? Also, do I go through Ireland immigration at Toronto or at Dublin?

You go through Ireland immigration and Customs in Dublin. All you have to do in Toronto is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have plenty of time.

I will be flying international from Tel Aviv to Toronto. My flight lands at 4:25 pm and my connection is at the same terminal at 5:50 headed for Chicago USA. Will this be enough time to clear us customs and make it to my connection?

Are both flights on the same reservation? What airlines are you flying?

Yes it's air Canada! Itinerary says terminal 1 for landing and connection

Then yes, that is enough time. you will proceed directly to US Immigration and Customs Preclearance upon arrival in Toronto.

I have a fligjt from Ottawa to Toronto and then a connecting flight from Toronto to Frankfurt, and layover is 1hrs. Is that sufficient for me to change the gate at terminal 1.

    Yes, that is enough time.

Thanks ZAP, Can you tell me how much minimum time required to catch the flight at Toronto airport termina 1, if I am coming from Ottawa to connecting flight to Frankfurt. If I just have to change the gate. Please tell me. Thanks In Advanced.

30 minutes is doable but leaves no margin for error. An hour is more comfortable.

Family traveling with three kids 10,8, and 6 from Raleigh Durham to Tokyo Japan with a 6 hour layover in Toronto. Is this enough time to leave the airport and go to the CN Tower or hockey Hall of Fame. Thanks

No, that is not realistically enough time to do that. YYZ is not close to downtown.

    thanks

My friend has a layover at YYZ, he is coming from the US on route to Vancouver. We'd like to meet for a drink since I live in TO. Is there a convenient location in the airport for us to meet?

Im flying from LAX to London, Ontario with a layover in Toronto, will i have to claim my bags in Toronto?

Most passengers coming from the US do not have to, but confirm that with Border Canada upon arrival.

I am flying from Halifax to Lima via Toronto, all with Air Canada. I have a 2h20m layover. Is this enough time? On the way home, I only have 1h30m layover in Toronto before flying back to Halifax. Was I crazy to book these flights!?

Yes, that is definitely enough time on the way to Lima as all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. On the way back it's a bit tougher but you should still have plenty of time and Air Canada has lots of flights from Toronto to Halifax should you miss your connection.

Arriving in Toronto from Winnipeg. 1.24 hours layover. connecting flight to London, England. do you think its sufficient layover time? do I need to change terminal in Toronto? Do I need to collect my luggage and give it back again at international terminal

Yes, that is enough time. Toronto does not have an "International Terminal". If both flights are on the same airline you just have to walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate in Toronto.

My neice who is an American Citizen is flying back from Switzerland and has a stop over at YYZ - Toronto Pearson. Would she be able to visit with us in the airport prior to her connecting flight back to the US?

No, she will be directed straight to US Immigration and Customs preclearance after she arrives in Toronto.

  • Overnight with no hotel

I have an overnight layover traveling from Moncton then to Hinduras. I arrive at 8:30pm and depart at 6:20am. I do not wish to get a hotel as this is a very budget missions trip. I have a few questions I hope you can help with: 1. Can I use the Pearson airport lounge that is open until 1:30am even though they refer to it as the international/domestic lounge and I am traveling domestic/international? 2. Will I collect my bags then recheck them in? All flights are with the same carrier. 3. Will there be any issues staying overnight at the airport? I am not to concerned with comfort. I figured between 1:30 pm when the lounge closes and 5:00am when I would head to my gate won't be too bad. 4. Is there any spot you would recommend I spend those hours that would offer a place to relax? Thanks in advance for your help.

I am travelling from Vancouver to Newyork via YYZ (Toronto); At YYZ i have a layover of 13 hours and during which i want to come out of the airport and collect my luggage from relatives and get back in, is this possible?

    Yes, you can do that.

sorry, I read that backwards. Is your layover overnight or during the day? Are both flights on the same reservation? What airlines are you flying?

Hi there, flying dublin to vegas in Dececmber and have a 9 hour layover in Toronto. Can I leave the airport? Want to explore some of Toronto while so near!! Thanks :)

If both tickets are on the same reservation, then your bags will go straight to US Immigration and Customs Preclearance in Toronto, after you go through preclearance you will not be able to leave.

Aw that's a pity! Thanks so much though
